It’s always good to be open minded about where you wanna play. For instance, im trying to go to england but im ok with playing here in the US. But i also have doors open for the caribbean and El Salvador. Just keep making those connections with teams, coaches, scouts, etc. Even players who may have connections of their own. That’s the power of social media if used properly.
@@anthonylong9067 If you only have an American passport you are not going to be able to play in England. You need National Team caps to be eligible for a workers permit in England as an American. I think you have the right idea on trying to go overseas but England isn't the place to.
I'll always be incredibly thankful for the opportunity you got me when I went over to Spain!! Much love brother, keep pushing towards your dream and don't ever settle for less than what you know you deserve. Your Costa Rican bud
Yo I liked this vid a lot. First I liked how you made no excuses about not making the team and just admitted the other guy was better. Most players I know have such high egos and always make an excuse it was the coach or the politics or some lame excuse but I like how you took responsibility. The other thing I appreciate is how you said you like to keep your goals private and then share it once you achieve it. Personally I like this too because a lot of time when people flex that they are at some trial or flex that they have this goal of playing somewhere and then they are so distracted by talking about the goal that they don’t even achieve it. So ngl your mindset on this video was one of the best I’ve heard from you in a while. Keep it up man 🤙🏼
@@irjunior540 it’s never too late but I would recommend doing it right now. You might not get a lot of responses or a big scholarship but there can be opportunity especially with NAIA teams since their rosters are so big. Wish you the best of luck lad.
Playing ‘soccer’ in the USA professionally = is just a hobby tbh . My upcoming season in Italy will be interesting with all the covid bs etc it’s different for goal keepers such as myself I guess since not many want to play my position lol but if I ended up playing soccer in the USA = that’s when I’d know it’s over and time to move on to something else
What tier are you playing in in Italy? Cause at the higher levels it's much harder for goalkeepers to find clubs than field players. Also, you don't have to worry about playing in the States. They aren't going to waste their foreign player slots on a goalkeeper unless they are a big name player.
Just depends on the school tbh and how many assistants they have designated to keeping up with recruiting. Both of the full rides I received came at the end of the fall and spring semester. It won't hurt to send some emails now but generally speaking it's much easier to communicate with coaches during the spring.

Indoor soccer is good?
What specific things do you think separated you from the player at the trial who was signed at your position?
There are a lot opportunities in soccer on the staff side as well.

How many hours a week/per day did you play soccer when you were 16, 17 , and 18?
Team training was 4-5 times a week (2 hour each) and then I did 2-3 sessions on my own so around 10-12 hours/w (not including games and gym workouts).
