Then ask them for proof and receipts they own the property. good thing electric cars will never be mainstream in the future, way more hazardous to the environment long term, and there will never be enough energy to have everyone driving them
Me: ‘Your honor, how can I be charged for vehicular manslaughter, when they themselves identified as a ‘speedbump’? I just respected their choice’ Judge: ‘Undertsandable, have a great day’
Bro. Being a member of that should just in itself become a misdemeanor and the people who actually go through with this stuff should get not only years of jail time but also be removed from social media. It absolutely disgusts me, these kinds of people.
The worst part about these people is they target the wrong form of pollution. Yes cars pollute, but they are a small part of it. Their sollution of all electric would be even worse too. Electric cars need alot of power, and alot of material and significantly more infrastructure to keep them going. I doubt any of them have thought about the power consumption especially. If we went full solar/wind, we would have to destroy thousands of miles of the countryside to build them plus just as much for the battery farms needed to support them. I'm willing to bet that stop oil people are anti nuclear as well. Despite nuclear being the best solution to a none polluting power source. What really needs to happen is the UN needs to enforce air filtration in manufacturing. Look at chinese's steel mills. There's one stuck in permanant darkness due to the amount of smog.
The only way for wind and solar to be substainable would be to go back to the dark ages where the only the elites get to enjoy air conditioning and power while everyone else has to live without power and barely scrape by.
What really pisses me off is when people claim nuclear energy is unsafe. The Green party in the UK government honestly believe there is no difference between nuclear reactors and nuclear bombs. It literally says nuclear bombs in place of nuclear reactors on their official web page. These are the people who claim to be for saving the planet and making it green and yet they scorn the best energy producing method we have available. As for nuclear reactors being unsafe. The first and only nuclear incident in UK history was the Windscale reactor. The first reactor ever built and who's plutonium refined there won ww2. Now the UK runs the safest and most advanced reactors in the world. More people have died as a result of working at oil fired power stations than at nuclear sights in the last 50 years as the worry about safety has made nuclear sites so secure and safety strict. I wish this country would open it's eyes to how safe nuclear energy is and stop complaining about more recent incidents made by far less competent nations.
on that note of ALL electric, I remember that Icarly (a live-action show on Nickledeon) even went over this. The context it was a project that Carly and her class had to come up with a environmentally friendly project. Despite the efforts of the main cast: Carly using an electric scooter and Freddy making a high tech compost container, they failed to realize that the way how they carried it out led to them getting a lousy grade and rightfully so. Electric scooters take up a LOT of energy just to charge and for the speed it was worth (which is very slow btw) it caused more pollution than taking the bus, and freddy imported his worms from portugal which in of itself generated alot of Emissions. And it took their environmental teacher telling them this, which now looking back was a suprising level of insight for its time. These people could have taken notes from that episode. My advice to them, if you cant fix the problem properly, no matter how dire, you are better off not doing any fixes at all lest you make it worse.
these people have a negative number of braincells I think it's pretty safe to say that they're the sort of people who hear "Nuclear" and think of yellow biohazard barrels leaking green ooze, nuclear is the future, it's just that people are too scared of literally the safest form of energy we have
These are the same types of people who lobbied against nuclear power plants in the 60s......and not enough nuclear power is EXACTLY the reason we cannot have electric cars yet.
They were always a cult. When you talk of one of them in person, the conversation does not remain political. Rather, it feels like debating a religion. The extreme emotion, the ‘faith’ in something only you believe, the lack of need for proof, the dogmatic views that are beyond any sort of debate or analysis. It is a cult. Last component will surely be there: Somebody at the top, making tons of money and not risking anything, while a bunch of ignorant fools do all the leg work.
Just about anything can be a cult if you think on it long enough, but at least they know how to please their gods or ideals and are punished for stepping out of line.

I use to be an infamous graffiti vandal for the majority of my life. When I was 16 I got caught and the judicial system gave me a slap on the wrist (my parents beat my ass). I stopped for a few months, then I started doing it again. Fast forward and i'm now 29yrs old, and I get caught. Spend two nights in jail and released Monday morning. It took almost a year for the trial because of all the witnesses went back almost 17yrs. During PT I was still doing graffiti, not a care in the world. Then my lawyer told me he negotiated a fine for a guilty plead or go to trial and face jail time. While 24yrs old I had been apprehended in a different state and couldn't make bail and stayed locked up for 7wks and the judge gave me time served. So there was no way i was going to trial and risk a guilty verdict. So I took the fine.... It was $20k, and $6k for lawyer and court cost. That was the day I stopped being a graffiti vandal. It took me 4 years to pay it off, and I was told if I missed a payment or was late, a warrant would be issued for my arrest and I would serve 8 months and still have the fine to pay. That what they should do to these activist hit them in their wallets and they'll stop.

Airports are difficult to protect from breaches actually, there's little more than a fence around them and often just one or two security vehicles circling around their vast footprint. I'm sure is related to cost, because military air bases are a whole different story.
Yeah even though it here in the U.K we still get really nervous when people break onto the airport tarmack, Thos morons are just lucky they weren't spotted right then or they would need to change their name to "just stop bullets" because our airport police are armed and they could have been mistaken for possible bombers.
Most of these places depend on the civic consciousness of the general public. There are signs that inform that it's a restricted area and intrusion is a punishable offence; that alone should sufficiently deter potential intruders. It works 99.999% of the time but just because one intrusion happens you are calling into question the sufficiency of a security fence and warning signage?
Yesterday. My friend told me about these people vandalising the stone hedge, and i'm from the UK so this hurts me pretty personally. What's worse is that apparently even if they did manage to fix and clean up the damage, it's now permanently ruined.
Here in the US to peacefully protest you must get a permit for the protest, permission from either the land owner or the city which the protest is happening on, and there can be no violence or illegal activity. If any of these aren’t in order then the protest organizers are arrested. Tho more and more ppl aren’t being arrested. To the point a dude in Arkansas got out of his car and threatened a roadblock protester with a gun. The bright idea in this protesters head was the approach the man while beginning n to antagonize him, to which the protester was quickly shot and killed. The man is seeing like 5-7 years I think for it
In the US, the painting the airplanes is called tampering which is a Federal charge and a felony. Breaking into an airport is also a Federal charge and felony. If they happen to enter a hangar with closed doors, that is another charge. Start the meter, the bills are coming.
Boy, I hope you're American, the delicious Irony of hearing this same sentiment echoed in the halls of Great Britain circa the 1770s. Not that I'm an advocate for this clearly inept group of (haven't verified this) likely Oil-funded misfits as a means of associating all attempts at protests against Big Oil lobbying as comparable to this group. Do I think that the people who are gluing themselves to asphalt have a big oil agenda? No, I think they've been duped and truly believe that this will help support the cause as opposed to the mock and ridicule that is getting tossed at them. See also, the other reason I think you're an American, like me, is that we worship the oil companies that offer us our "Freedom" and "Independence" in a country with states that are larger than a good number of countries. It's nauseating to think that Big Oil has such a crushing grip on us because of our need for "Elbow Room." Anyway, corporate owners own us so hard that we will defend them to our death because we think that we are part of them, despite the fact that we are very clearly just a different type of product to them.

It's not really about the "cause". They just want the *attention* for being a "hero", a "resistance fighter", a "rebel" or a "victimized martyr". Everyone wants to be Katniss Everdeen. Smug victims with smug grins so proud of themselves for being part of the "resistance". Also, their resistance leader looks older than Katniss even if she is actually younger.
Let's not sugar-coat it : those aren't protesters, they've stepped into the shoes of terrorism. If they were protesters, they'd stand by conglomerates and ask people to honk for their cause, they'd be loud but they'd be where the source of their problems are. They wouldn't disrupt the regular people in streets, being general annoyances to people and in some case, a danger to them (like that mother needing to bring her kid to the hospital). They wouldn't damage property and historic places. They wouldn't cause people to be angry at them but rather angry at their cause. No, that's plain terrorism at this point. Terrorism doesn't need to be a bomb threat or a shooter, it only requires to be enough of a threat that it disrupts peace or causes significant damage that it requires intervention by police or armed forces. And it has gotten to that point now even though this should've been nipped in the bud much earlier.
I agree. Look, anyone can protest in the streets, but you can't obstruct traffic without a permit. That's illegal, and there's a difference between "protesters" and these people who just disturb the peace and make it hard for people to get buy..
I agree. Look, anyone can protest in the streets, but you can't obstruct traffic. That's illegal, and there's a difference between "protesters" and these people who just disturb the peace.
Main charges these protesters can get arrested for is the Breaking and Entering, Trespassing, Vandalism for the plane, but I don't think they can claim any amnesty relating to any Protestor's Rights. Protestor's rights are limited to very specific conditions to ensure public safety and minimal confrontations that could escalate between them and the locals as well as the authorities. Where I live, protestors generally need to get a permit for their protest, and the conditions of the permit. Even without a permit, their rights allow them to MARCH in the streets or on sidewalks, as long as marchers don't obstruct car or pedestrian traffic. There are NO conditions that allow you to stand and blockade any public areas or private businesses for access. In other words, What THESE protestors are doing is in complete violation of any permit and any of their protesting rights. If you don't have a permit, police officers can ask you to move to the side of a street or sidewalk to let others pass or for safety reasons. And you can be arrested for causing a public nuisance, or if the private business owner has called the police on your for trespassing. At the same time, I am wondering if these fools are dumb enough to be using oil based paint? They tried to ruin old oil painting, but did they ever check to see what kind of paint they are using?
In case of the oil painting they claimed it being tomato soup. Yet... after that they used superglue, which as far as I know comes from chemical industry, that relies heavily on oil products. Not sure if superglue itself relies on oli, but still even the container super glue was in had plastic cap which in most cases is produced from oil.
@@krisavi Super glue is mostly formaldehyde and compressed cyanoacrylate (a type of plastic). It works by creating a thermal reaction between the two materials when the cyanoacrylate decompresses after it leaves the tube. Both ingredients are modern products made from oil. The plastic polymer from oil byproduct, and the formaldehyde from burning kerosene.
There is no such thing as "protesters rights." Go research. Yes, there are plenty of rights and laws. There are several laws regarding "freedom of speech" that give people who protest vocally against anyone who wants to silence their message. However, there are no laws granting people the right to damage property or knowingly cause someone else a decrease of their finances. When a "protestor" knowingly gets into the road to stop traffic, they understand they are hinder people from getting to work, and supplies getting to their destination. They are not protesting vocally. They are quite literally saboteurs. Sabotage is a crime, plain and simple. I repeat again for the ones who actually take the time to read everything. This is not protesting. This is sabotage. it's long since time they go to jail. Before someone screams at me for saying that, there have been thousands, nay millions of people who have been put in prison knowing that they're cause was ultimately just, but they also knew they were breaking a law at the time. They understood the consequences, and choose to pay the price so that they laws would be changed. Have you seen what happens when they catch fire? I don't want a vehicle that needs software updates let alone a self driving PC in them. That's terrifying. Not to mention the switch is impossible for us farmers. EV's also pollute more, the battery going bad would mean you'd need to repair it for as much money as the car is worth, they die in cold weather faster, their speed and acceleration is terrible compared to gas cars, not to mention they explode and catch fire super fast. The batteries chemicals are super flammable and combust instantly. I'd rather be in a vehicle powered by gas and made with REAL metal rather than plastics and cheap metal. Also those wind mill farms... those aren't powered just by wind. They need oil to run and keep a constant motion. You'd also need millions of them to power new york city for just a month.
Imagine doing a protest to stop oil when oil is just strings of hydrocarbons, and we just have slightly more complex hydrocarbons. To stop oil once and for all, carbon based life must go extinct.

I essentially pointed out that their argument was pointless as the "problem" wouldn't change.
Not mention they found recently that there are symbols carved all over the stones. They are significantly weathered and could only be seen when laser scanned with very specialized equipment. This could very well make them unreadable now and the lichen may have grown into the subtle grooves of the carved symbols, highlighting them. It would be similar to why you dont clean coins and if you do, it lowers the value. The tarnish highlights the details a lot of the time and once cleaned that detail is gone (there is more to it, but that is an oversimplification).

Nah, the big brain play, is to set up a fence around Buckingham palace, signpost it as private property, with a contact number the royal family can call to settle disputes or lay claim. Then ask them for proof and receipts they own the property. Upon providing none, the land, property and estate, is technically unclaimed, and you, having set up a perimeter, are the first to lay claim to it all. It is yours.

It's nauseating to think that Big Oil has such a crushing grip on us because of our need for "Elbow Room." Anyway, corporate owners own us so hard that we will defend them to our death because we think that we are part of them, despite the fact that we are very clearly just a different type of product to them.
They don’t know what repression really looks like

couldn't agree more ..
Her hair dye and hippie style is completely oil based.
They would protest the big corporations that have A million times the carbon output in a year compared to 10 ppls entire lives

I agree. Look, anyone can protest in the streets, but you can't obstruct traffic. That's illegal, and there's a difference between "protesters" and these people who just disturb the peace.
Looks like someone knows the difference
These videos are the best pre-workout
They claim it is just orange-dyed corn flour. No one will say what they dye it with, though.
These saboteurs wail at the thought of being touched, much less paying any price for their so-called beliefs. They're selfish frauds. What more needs to be said?

Imagine doing a protest to stop oil and most of the cloths you wear is MADE of oil
Imagine them then protesting if all oil stopped being used how their package from china takes 2 years to sail around the world to them lol.
Nearly everything ever used or made requires oil. There is not replacement yet. Not a reliable or tested one anyways. The switch to electric vehicles by law is evil. I don't want a electric vehicle.
Ikr? Why do they think USA love to find oil in the middle east so much? 😤

Not mention they found recently that there are symbols carved all over the stones. They are significantly weathered and could only be seen when laser scanned with very specialized equipment.
