Holy Cow ! That was quite the repair. I felt frustrated, but then absolute relief at the end...I can't imagine what you were going through. 8 hours of hell for you condensed to 1 hour 38 minutes of hell for me :) The last 3 minutes was quite worth it. You are AMAZING! Keep up the awesome work.
Man oh man... Talk about down the rabbit hole lol. I personally REALLY enjoy these long videos, I only don't like them for the fact I think "Oh S... Mike's got one of those on his hands!". And bloody workin man's hands at that! I've had NUMEROUS things like this over the years just one thing after another in a big chain. It will drive you insane, and absolutely walk away, when the guys saw me walk away and break some a job they KNEW I was in the rabbit hole deep. However, once it's all said and done and working perfectly the feeling of pride is just indescribable, one of the best feelings in the world to me, NOTHING like it nor even close, just the most awesome natural high ever. Thanks for sharing the journey with us as always Mike!
@@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair Always do happily Mike. I know the editing and all has to be a royal pain on top of all the work just fixing some of these! I appreciate all the work you do for us a lot my friend!
IC1 from a parts chassis? Given the state of this one in the begining, I find it hard to believe you would ever give up on a chassis for it to become for doner parts!
I have a bunch of “parts” chassis’ that were donated and already missing parts/otherwise unrepairable that I get these parts from. They are ones I gave up on.
@@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair The shop said the tube had a bad focus plate or grid and it was frying the board. I've never encountered that so thought it was fishy.
Wow Mike. That was amazing. Thanks for taking us on this hellish journey with you. Your accumulated knowledge really showed on this one.

Nice mikey!!
Great video and diagnostics as usual.
Does removing the HOT out of circuit to test the power side of things work on all chassis, or just certain ones?
Thank you. As far as I know, it should apply to all chassis models, but don’t hold me to that.
a prayer for the rgb gods
I have a repair shop telling me that the focus plate in a WG D9400 is bad and frying the board. Is that possible?
Focus plate? There is no focus plate on a D9400 I’m aware of. Can you clarify what you are referring to?
@@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair The shop said the tube had a bad focus plate or grid and it was frying the board. I've never encountered that so thought it was fishy.
Oh, you mean in the tube itself? Possibly. Would be a first for me.
yikes 2 hour vid means 4 hour fix... where do you draw the line on letting these things die?
8 hours actually. Haven’t had one defeat me yet for the channel.
