Great video. I would suggest visiting Cuenca, Mitad del mundo, and Baños as well. If you were in Baños, you should not miss the thermal pools. Of course, the Galapagos Islands. Know that the diverse geography of Ecuador creates a variety of ecosystems. As such, the climate varies quite a bit. For example, the costal cities are usually hot and humid while Quitó is always foggy and cool. BTW, the $50 paid for was the gringos price. Great video nonetheless.
Great video! However one clarification is pertinent, in your question about “the Carteles” you literally used the word “cartel” and make it sound like a reference to ruthless drug lords who make money out of illicit drug and money laundry activities. Quilotoa is located inside an autonomous indigenous community, where cartels are literally non existent., thus confusing them with your question. The plural of the word ‘cartel’ = Carteles also means “road sign” which you alluded in your question. In other words, you didn’t get a disingenuous answer, you just asked about drug lords while trying to ask about historic struggles of indigenous people and communities in Ecuador, which by the way are many and deeply engrained in Ecuadorian history, with the only exception of Drug lords, which are non-existen within indigenous communities. Hope this helps, just another case of lost in translation I guest!
