It turned out that I didn't need the additional forms of identification, you had mentioned in the video (I'm in PA) but it felt great to be sure that if needed I had them with me. Hi Razel Natonton - I can't give you a definitive answer my friend. In most cases, if it doesn't interfere with the driver's view, it's going to be alright. Is there any problem with my car park brakes? or its normal? please suggest me as I have class 4 road test next week and I have to do pre inspection in that.

Could you make a video on how to stay calm during the road test inside the car, how to deal with rude instructors like i had one instructor that was shaking his head to try to confuse me.

Great video. Really helpful. In Europe why is it required to use the hand brake everytime you stop? Also, why do they use the push-pull (shuffle) method when steering? Thanks!
Hi Jazel Marie - thank you for your comment. Different places have different driving cultures. In some places I've been, for example, 'U' turns are commonplace. Here in Canada, for the most part, we don't do 'U' turns - it's not part of the driving culture. I have a question my car’s tail light glass only broken but light is working so can i use my car for G test at oshawa
Hi Jatin Sethi Amarkot - replace the glass my friend. You don't want to be denied your test. All the best, Cheers Rick
What is my dash board bulb went out but the bleanker works? Will they fail me?
what is all brake lights work but the brakes squeak a bit, will the not let you take the test or will they maybe let you take it but give you a restriction until you get it fixed ?
Hi Kyla Bethea - squeaky brakes shouldn't be an issue my friend. Did you you do a tug test on the parking brake and a response test on the brake pedal? If not, do that. As long as the parking brake is holding the vehicle, and the foot brake is stopping the car and releasing, the brakes are working. Check too that you have brake fluid in the master cylinder. Drop us a note if we can help further my friend. All the best, Cheers Rick
@@smartdrivetest ok, thanks so much ! i will check all of those things, we did try the tug test though and everything is working properly, they just squeak and i didnt want them to turn us away for that, thankyou again !!!
Thanks Rick love all your videos

Hello. I have a query. There is a very tiny glass chip on the front glass of my car due to the stone. Is it ok to go with that thing for the road test. Thanks
Did they let you take the road test?
@@welpthatsthat3060 yeah they haven't noticed that chip.
@@myselfjas can you show us how it looks?
Of I rust under and on the outside of the door to my car , can I still take the test?
Hi Cali K - yes, that's not going to effect the safety of the vehicle. Drop us a note if we can help further my friend. All the best, Cheers Rick
It’s enhanced road assessment test in bc
Are you going for your full Class 5 license? Cheers Rick
hello. For the real road test. what's different between Class7 and Class5? I mean after Inspection
I passed my road test thanx rick❤
Hello,
I have a question...
I checked my car, when park brakes are on and if I will put my car in drive then it will not move. But if I will escalate then it will start moving little bit.
Is there any problem with my car park brakes? or its normal?
please suggest me as I have class 4 road test next week and I have to do pre inspection in that.
Hi jagmohan singh - Thank you for your question. Sometimes if you apply the parking brake a bit harder, it will hold the vehicle. Give that a try. If there is anything further we can do, drop us a note. Always happy to help. All the best, Cheers Rick
Thank you for your videos! I was wondering if theirs a bubble in a tire will they still let you take your test or turn you away?
Hi Brian Sullivan - Thank you for your query. if there's a bubble in the tire and it's visible, you'll need to get it fixed my friend. If there is anything further we can do, drop us a note. Always happy to help. All the best, Cheers Rick
Hi sir, when I apply break when coming down a hill and when stopping the vehicle vibrates, will that be a problem for a class 5 road test?
Hi Charith Wickramaratne - it sounds like you need new rotors my friend. It depends how much it vibrates. If it's a little, it'll probably be okay, but if it's a lot, they may deem the vehicle unsafe. Drop us a note if we can help further my friend. All the best, Cheers Rick
@@smartdrivetest thanks Rick…. I just dropped my car in the garage to replace rotors, brakes and callipers… Hope all we be okay
Could you make a video on how to stay calm during the road test inside the car, how to deal with rude instructors like i had one instructor that was shaking his head to try to confuse me.
Did you have your driver's test this morning? Cheers Rick
@@smartdrivetest I am planning on taking the advanced road test to drive uber but I had to take 3 tries to pass the basic one. So I want to make sure that I don't get nervous for the next road test I'm planning on taking. Any way to calm the nerves during the test?
Luck favours the prepared my friend. Focus on slow-speed manoeuvres. They're not sexy, but these will teach you mastery of the primary controls (brake, accelerator, steering wheel), and will give you a better sense of where you vehicle is in relation to other road users. Rick, i had a small stone chip in my windsheild, i had it sealed right way.
Its still visible but they just inject a resin into it to keep it from speading.
Will they give me a hard time about that?
I have the same but it isn’t sealed... did they give you a hard time?
@@welpthatsthat3060 i dont think they noticed it. So glad that crap is over with.
Can we see it ?
My dad recently cracked the taillight cover. It is still functional. Would I still be able to take the test?
Are there any holes in the plastic, or any chance of the pieces falling out? In not, you should be good to go. Cheers Rick
@@smartdrivetest I wish I could send a picture in some way. But still have most of the light covered

Smart Drive Test Langley bc
I have a dime size crack in the top left corner of my windshield. Not in my view or the passengers view. Will that be an issue for me?
Hi Wacker Beats - I can't say for sure my friend. It's not in your line of vision, so it'll probably be okay. You might want to go to a glass shop and see what they can do for you. All the best, Cheers Rick
@@smartdrivetest thank you, I ended up taking the test in another car just to make sure and passed!
If your seat belt on your vehicle won’t adjust because it is jammed ( pulled out completely) would that stop you front taking test ??
Is it the driver's or the passenger's? The seat belt is a safety issue and if it's not working that will cause the test to be postponed. Either get another vehicle, or get it repaired. Drop us a note if we can help further. Cheers Rick
@@smartdrivetest it’s actually both but the one in the passengers is were the person giving the test would be . I just got this feeling that they won’t let me because it’s not adjustable , which your right is unsafe. Thank you for your response !!
How do you mean the seat belt is not adjustable? Thanks, Cheers Rick
@@smartdrivetest so it basically not retractable so it’s twisted inside and it is all the way pulled out so it may be to big and not fitting on the passenger . It’s not fitting and I can’t fix it because it stuck, it can buckle but the tester may not feel comfortable because it isn’t tight fitting to there likings you kno
Hi, I just wanted to ask if my check engine light is on would that be a problem for my test?
Hi mela - not as a rule. For the most part the check engine light isn't a safety issue. All the best, Cheers Rick

I go to a private school in Hershey Pennsylvania called Milton Hershey School. it was originally a School for orphans but has since expanded

Why is it that my Wisconsin cdl pan flit is so advanced with these portion of the test but all I have to do is the basic stuff you are showing me?
Hi Dylan Bowker - Thank you for your comment. Do you need information for the CDL pre-trip inspection? Know that doing a pre-trip on a CDL vehicle is different than that required for a car. If there is anything further we can do, drop us a note. Always happy to help. All the best, Cheers Rick
Europe has a driving culture of hand-to-hand steering and using the hand brake when they stop - not sure there is a definitive answer. If there is anything further we can do, drop us a note. Always happy to help. All the best, Cheers Rick
Thanks a lot Rick , then we have to fix the passenger seat belt first , you are a great help to me Rick thanks a gain.

Hi harpreet singh - Thank you for your comment. If you don't actually do a pretrip on the vehicle before a road test, it's unlikely that you're going to know something isn't working my friend. The examiner was same as for my G2 in Dec 2018. She had failed me then, i think she would've failed me now also, she confuses the driver and talks harshly that's what i heard often about her.
