MAD SKILLZ said a few NAUGHTY BY NATURE references In his rhymes, which lets me know he was influenced by TREACH, because his Movements, Rap Style and delivery is definitely very much similar to TREACH
Fuck, I've just said out loud the same thought to myself, randomly scrolled down and, maybe because of all caps u've used while reffering Treach, the first word that caught my eye was his moniker. And I'm not necessarily into comments like that. As I'm alive, the last thing that I'd believe in is coincident, so I guess that subconsciously I was looking for confirmation of this impression... even though I truly don't give a shit 'bout public affirmation. Just wanted to share it and big u up for good ear- there were many similar, Treach-inspired flows back then in hip-hop, but not many people realise it. Real hip-hop head can tell it by a couple lines. Skillz was nice as hell, but too similar... It's a thin line between inspiration and biting.
I think he really didn’t take off because he dropped his first album at the same time NAZ “It was written” came out and was unfortunately overshadowed by NAS.
@@Twizzledoc187Well, you're kinda right been overshadowed But, Skillz's first album was dropped the same day that 2Pac and Fugees respectively dropped "All Eyez On Me" and "The Score"
None of these incredible M.C.'s have ever gotten their proper recognition or respect in the industry. But, truth be told, records as good as they may have been, didn't do them justice. The best way to feel and see them at their best is in battles such as this.
Dame Dash on the stage chillin SuperNat won that he was flowin , creative, punchlines , and rocked the crowd! A True freestyler ohhh and he was poised not like Madskills he was all hyped up.
Coincidence Puff was a judge, because I believe Skillz ended up doing sum ghostwriting for him. Matter of fact, I had a friend who saw Skillz perform live. I hear that Skillz actually says the names of the people he edited out of the recorded version of his song "Ghostwriter", when he performs live. I heard he says Puffs name as one of the people who owes him money for ghostwriting when he performs it live.
Mad Skillz posted this. Shaquan Lewis is Mad Skillz and he is who posted this. I would say it's an imposter like most copy names on UA-cam can be, but if you look at the comment he left, you will see he even refers to himself in the first person there. Pretty badass he had this footage and put it up for us to revel in. Awesome stuff.

This was an amazing upload. A few random notes: Skillz looked so much different then. Supernatural's delivery changed drastically shortly after this battle (and improved). And the beats were straight fire.
Nat won for freestyling 100%. I love skillz but he mixes in writtens. The majority of it was premeditated. I think thats the only reason Nat won! #Classic
When Super Nat did the Big Daddy Kane and Kool G. Rap impersonations, that showed his versatility and showmanship, which swayed me. NOW ... if we can just get the footage of DMX battling Jay in the pool hall.
