Imma respectfully disagree with ya when it comes to the slower songs. It shows massive maturity and range instead of always being heavy.
I agree
Exactly
💯
Yeah same. 1 of the reasons I Love this band and BMTH. Never know what you're guna get. And always meaningful.
This album is a masterpiece BECAUSE of its diversity, yet still staying so true to Bad Omens. Every song compliments the others. It's complete.
I’m glad this album isn’t all breakdowns
Sometimes just hearing how talented the band is separately away from the heavy
It’s an amazing album
And the lyrics!! Super good
Bad decisions is one of my absolute favorites

I mean.. Yes, some songs aren't exactly the typical metal heavy you know teeth jumping out breakdownish, but jesus h christ this album is unique and diverse. You've got disgusting breakdowns/screams, you've got chill stuff, you've got synthwave somewhat 80s' songs, you've got dancy vibe stuff, you've got everything tbh. Something reminds of the weekend, some of architects, some of bmth yes, but who cares. The whole album is a masterpiece for me, a solid banger of an album and I enjoy it immensely. And I see a lot of people jumping on this album who aren't very familiar with metal, and they quite enjoy it and giving the metal genre a look, even checking their old music. This band is a solid conduit/introduction into the metal in my opinion
Beautifully put..AOTY for me❤️
i couldn't have written better. totally agree with u
I'd never heard of Bad Omens until this album. I got a recommendation from UA-cam so I checked them out. Safe to say this album along with FGBGFM are the only album's I've listened to in around 2 months on a constant loop. Booked my tickets to go see them at March here in the UK I can't wait!!
Amen
Bad omens are a very big copy of Bring me the horizon but who cares they do it well.
To be honest I like this album because each song is it’s own vibe
I also feel like this album shows off the different sides of the band, I think it’s really hard for a band to rock different sounds like this. Sometimes each song is just the same and with this album no one can say that.
That and the fact that every song is entirely its own thing but they still all fit together and transition PERFECTLY is insane to me. Song writing on this album is Tier 1
but the way they made it still flow is the most impressive part. There's an entire concept behind it
Nowhere to go and Miracle are god-tier songs. Sheer perfection. “Just Pretend” is very deep lyrically though. Also a banger. Whole album is fucking amazing 10/10
I get huge BMTH vibes from Miracle, so good
@@ericaubuchon2771 funny that they hate being compared to BMTH yet they keep making songs that sound like it. In the artificial suicide music video, mans looked like Oli at times
@@ZeoNox9780 true! I mean take any song from this album compared to almost any song from post human survival horror and the similarities are so apparent
There's not many albums that you can listen to from cover to cover, but this is one of them.
A masterpiece of an album. Just Pretend is the best song on the album IMO.
Yes that song just vibes
Absolutely for 2 weeks it was the only song I listened to
Man I don't know....take me me first is great
I Wouldn't Call this Album A Masterpiece Exactly it's got some great song's yes but honestly I'd stick with their first two album that's the Bad Omens I Know And Love
Materpiece 👍🏼🤘❤️
I loved this album from the first listen; think it's a masterpiece. It really feels like Noah's found his voice and style. The heavy is great and I hope they do more, but I also really appreciate a very clean vocal forward album; especially knowing that Noah has really worked on his vocals, and wasn't confident about them in the past but now has embraced them.
Omg his voice is stunning throughout this whole album! I haven’t found an album I love every song on it a very long time.
I honestly loved every song on this album. Even the song “bad decisions “ that you didn’t like but that’s because it’s different. It’s like they are very influenced by pop but also stick to their metal roots. This brings a whole other wave of fans into the scene and I love that. Great react video !
Ive lost count how many times I’ve listened to this album. Its so great! Im a huge fan of really heavy music, and although this isnt on the list of heavy stuff I usually listen to, I can’t get enough! I love the loud and heavy songs mixed in with the slow songs. For me this is just perfection, I love it.
Also, What it Cost into Like A Villain is just 😌
25:18 I’m gonna respectfully disagree on that one boss. Song is one of my favorites from the album
It's a good song, I can see the placement of it doesn't work for someone who's trying to react. But it can't be all rise. Personally listening through the album, it's a great reset between 2 of their better songs.
Same, i love it.
I’d say it depends on what you listen to songs for. Bad Decisions is very much a sit back and vibe to the lyrics and soundscape. And admittedly it doesn’t really go anywhere musically. I like it but not really when I’m listening through the album
It's a good song. I think he was just expecting a breakdown and didn't get it. It just stayed in chill mode.
I had the same idea about the heavy singles and the poppy songs on the album. I was slightly disappointed the first time I listened to the full album. But the more you listen to it, the more it makes sense. And it’s ok to skip a song or two. “Just Pretend”, “IDWT$”, “Nowhere To Go”….and all the heavies…man this album is absolute fire!
I really love the heavy stuff, but I’m happy they’re not all as heavy as ARTIFICIAL SUICIDE. The album is telling a story, and you don’t always need to shout to make your voice be heard.
I love this whole album, including the poppier songs. The only ones I’ve ever skipped are “Who are you?” And “IDWT$” just because they were the only ones I didn’t connect with at all.
@The Night Ranger haha ikr! I agree, and yeah same for me, with these 2 songs! 💯
My AOTY so far, I’ve listened an unhealthy amount of times😅😅
I am OBSESSED. Noah’s vocals are GODLY
Incase you're wondering the song Somebody Else was made live on stream but Noah added it to the album. Also Bad Omens has nothing to prove, they are showing everyone they can make Any style of music at any given moment and to make it even better? they sound even better live. Doubt they care about the views when there songs have so much more meaning.
they make music for everyone... this album is good for people starting out in heavier music. still a masterpiece album and shows their range/diversity. just because a band is known for being heavy doesnt mean they have to be heavy 24/7
and if you really think about it, you're bitching about the softer music and how they put the heavier songs out as singles to draw in listeners, but you're doing the same thing by posting a review that you even stated you don't know wh6y you should post it..... pretty hypocritical don't you think....?
Heavy metal fans are pretty toxic, not gonna lie.
This album sounds very mature. These men are out there living normal lives that can be relatable to many people even though they come from old-school "bandguy" pasts. I love this sound. I feel like you can bump this album to any coworker or in any social situation and it will be unanimously fine to listen to. I feel like people will be more accepting of the growls because of the lyrics and adult songwriting. The album is groovy, it jams, and mixes a blend of popular sounds into something super digestible. If any band can help Metalcore become more accepted in today's world, Bad Omens and The Death Of Peace Of Mind is an example of one of them. I would keep listening to this album, and I already have, but my only gripe with the album upon listens is... it sounds really sad. A very mature and relatable sadness. The sad sounding nature of the lyrics in this album makes it not as easy to listen to unless events are going on in your life that puts you in that MOOD. I still believe this album to be the best released so far in 2022. It just sounds so unbelievably good.
This is an album you just turn on and vibe to. No expectations, just enjoy the ride. Top tier take-you-out-of-reality stuff right here!
I understand not getting the vibe on the slower songs but just imagine that you’re lonely at 12 a.m. driving on the highway listening to bad decisions. Also Noah took inspiration from The Weeknd for some of the songs so that’s why they sound literally like something The Weeknd would put out
Wow, it's almost like the purpose of an album is to tell a story, to convey a message across each song and deliver a cohesive experience. C'mon man, I know singles are the thing because nobody has the attention span for a full album, but if you're going to do a full album reaction, don't call the thing dead when you hit two songs that you don't like out of the whole thing. Was enjoying the video until that point. "I can't believe I'm about to put this on my channel." Lol go make something better then.
You can just feel the emotion in Just Pretend. It just hits you.
For me this is my favourite album of this year so far. The vibes are so good and the production is fucking perfect.
This album has something for everybody. Whole thing is an absolute masterpiece. Im convinced they could drop a country song and top the charts at this point if they wanted too lol
This album is becoming one of the best i have ever heard. Each Song are masterpieces 🎧👌
I love this album
I’ve actually been on a soft pop fling lately I don’t think I would’ve liked this a couple years ago but right now this is perfect for me I love the heavy stuff and the pop stuff is right up my alley now and bad omens has been my favorite band for a few years now so even more points
I was the same way back than maybe not so much, I don’t mind when bands do more of a “pop sound” but it all depends on how Its executed, as long as they don’t sound like imagine dragon, 21 pilots I’m cool with it, even BMTH when they do pop to me it doesn’t sound like your typical generic pop sound, they are one of the few bands that can blend heavier sound with some pop and make it sound good.
@@leodanysperezreyes1145 Yeah I definitely agree. When pop bands try to go heavy it never really works but when a band like bad omens or bmth go soft it still has the heavy roots I guess whatever it is they definitely pull it off better
The Plot in You has that poppy metalcore sound too, give them a shot. ‘Whole Without Me’ and ‘Both to Blame’ is my first pick
@@jonnysimpson093 couldn’t agree more, plus I doubt they will stop making “heavy music” I mean bmth dropes a heavy ep so thag jusg goes to show that they haven’t forgotten their “roots” they just want to try new things and I don’t see anything wrong with that. If it’s good it’s good. As I’ve gone older I’ve learned to appreciate different styles of music while still loving heavier stuff.
@@alarmstation that’s one band I’ve never really checked out but I sure will know thanks man.
Uggh everyone’s entitled to their opinion but there was a few songs that you talked about lyrics and I was like bruh these lyrics are amazing this whole album just speaks to me on a different level but it did seem like you enjoyed it cuz this is one of the best albums of the year in my opinion
The best part is Noah's sneezing in the beginning of "I can wait" in Just pretend!
Kidding! Everthing is the best part! Have been waiting for your reaction to this! Thanks! ❤️
the harder final chorus after the cleaner ones in Concrete Jungle hits so good. like most of the song is so clean, and then the breakdown hits, and Noah comes back to the chorus with a bit of that vocal fry?? amazing. masterful.
Like a Villain is 10000% gonna be my number 1 song on next year's Spotify Wrapped. Like I know it is
Also I feel you on Bad Decisions. Like its not a bad song and I get doing a chill song, but it's kind of like.... you can have a chill song and still make it interesting. Like everything about it pretty much stayed the same the whole time, y'know? and that it sikes you out every chorus like "so this is where they'll intruduce something new and elevate this song" like it was all build-up with no pay-off and it doesn't even rly lead into Just Pretend particularly well? idk
after listening to Bad Decisions and Who Are You again after not listening to either song in a while, I'm starting to think that Bad Omens is still figuring out how to make a good ballad. The B-side of this album is very rough if you came for the heavier stuff
Bring Me the Horizon invented this pop core/metal style. But there's big difference between all those bands (Architects, Falling In Reverse, Bad Omens etc) is Noah's vocals. I'm guessing that he's trained vocally.
Thanks for the great video!
The album came out over a month ago, but the emotions of listening are still fresh
Nowhere To Go and Just Pretend are my fav non singles. Love the Drum & Bass feel Nowhere To Go has. Reminds me of a Pendulum song lol
Thought i was the only one that noticed the dnb drums!
IDWT$ - I don’t want the money
Just a little unknown trivia to some Noah used all different kinds of nosies and tones from all over his house which is what you hear in the background.
This album is so good. I went into it not expecting anything because I didn’t know much of their older stuff and it blew me away. I think it’s good to come into a new album from a band with few expectations. Few bands stay completely stagnant and keep the same sound.
This album fucking slaps! Just saw them live last week
Sebastian has one of the greatest voices in rock right now and he’s produced rap tracks too
I feel the same way you do about most of these. I hadn't heard the entire album until I watched this. Just Pretend is probably my favorite, that's been on repeat since discovery. Love the album reaction route!
They’re not trying to be BO of their debut. Everyone always talks about Dethrone and it is one of my favorites, but it’s not something we’re going to get from them in every song like the self titled album. Noah has said he got more confident in his own voice and he wishes TDOPOM was the album people had got to hear from then first. It is extremely diverse and shows his incredible range, as well as their ability to do more than breakdowns. I love the heavier stuff but I appreciate this diversity more in a band honestly. BMTH is another favorite of mine but I don’t think you can compare the vocal ability of Olly and Noah, Noah blows everyone in the metalcore scene out of the water vocally. Yep, I said it.
I’m a new Bad Omens fan due to this album and I love it!
I’ve been waiting for this!!
You ever get a chance to see them live, DO IT!! Noah sounds just as good live. Seriously one of my new favorite bands for me.
Hahah, that face reset thing is totaly me when i have to stop for traffic. But It's realy hard to do when the breakdown slabs me out of the car
My buddy gave me the album on vinyl. It took me 4 plays on the first LP before I could bring myself to play the second. Instant AOTY, and I'm a mostly outlaw/bluegrass country listener
Just Pretend and Nowhere to Go are two of the best songs on the whole record. Loved The Grey and Like a Villain when they were released
9:19 Aritificial Suicide, Hedonist, and Malice are the heaviest ones I think (and Dethrone ofc)
Been listening to this band for the last 2 months, just discovered them - Noah is probably best vocalist i've ever heard in any metalcore band and that's saying a lot. Incredible album and band!
Try out Howard jones in SION or light the torch
Loved the full album reaction!!
Love the album
like some of the singles, this album grows on you. no joke, first listen, i only liked concrete jungle (in addition to the already released ones) - and I hated miracle. The rest were just ok for me; but after a few more listens, i eventually liked them all except for somebody else which is just meh. just pretend is a beauty of a song and what it cost definitely elevated like a villain. i knew there was something missing to that song when they first released it. overall, the album is a masterpiece if you look at it holistically. quite a rare work of art.
I can't get enough of this album. Great album review!
enjoyed this so much. unmatchable sonic material. so glad I came across this video. 🔥🔥🔥
Man this album is a work of art.
Dude you brought up something I never thought of, but now it all makes sense, they don’t sound like Tool, but they kind of have the same structure with the buildup and there’s actually a beginning, middle and end!
Ngl this entire album was on repeat for weeks , what it cost/ like a villain amazing, idwt$ are my main ones on this album, though I listen to the entire album without skipping, bad decisions wasn't my favorite but still listened to it when it did come on.
I love this album so much it’s not even funny! I love their past albums of course but I can listen to this straight through and be very happy. My favorite is the very last song miracle ❤
this album is so amazing it has a grungy cyberpunk undertone , that i desperately look for in songs and i find very few ( kingslayer , in the dark by BMTH)
One of my favorite current bands
I love Concrete Jungle, The Death of Peace of Mind, and Like a Villain, but Just Pretend just punches me right in the gut. The lyric "way down, would you say I'm worthy?" hits hard especially when my crap self-worth starts eating at me again.
I'd personally like to see a contemporary dance routine for Bad Decisions.
I've just recently found this band. The first song I ever heard was Like a Villaiin and it immediately went on my Spotify Playlist. Since then I've been listening to more and most of what I've heard I love. Artificial Suicide and The Grey are two more favorites. Concrete Jungle is another.
A true beautiful metal experience bad omens is. Pure talent in every song they have made.
I also like heavy stuff and I knew Bad Omens was a metal band, so that's why I opened the album, when Spotify recommended it to me as something new I might like (This is the first BO album i had an opportunity to listen to).
And even tho I like metal and had it in the back of my hand that this band is going to be probably heavy with this album, I had no expectations at all and it got me to the point where I appreciated light songs more. They just take me to a different dimension, his voice can be like very rough, raw and devilish and also angelic, calming, somehow able to give a real ASMR in music.
I'm sorry but watching your reaction here I kinda had a feeling like you came here for the heavy stuff and ignored everything that wasn't it. You literally show emotions only when the guitar and growl hits, which is ok, you also have a right not to like pop, but all the pop moments on this album are what makes it so sensual and beautiful and I just felt like I need to say something about it, cuz you totally didn't even wanted to try to appreciate Bad Decisions or Who Are You? XD. What I'm getting from this reaction is that you stuck in a very limited world of sound and you miss a lot.
But thanks anyway 🙏
This album deserves all the listens... all of them. Every single one of them.
Nowhere to Go still has the greatest chorus I’ve heard in such a long time
AOTY, I can’t stop listening to it. 🖤
Great album. Great production.
He sounds like Chester in bad decisions
I really like this album but if you want a heavier album I would highly recommend their first album “Bad Omens”
Album is fantastic
I think the guitar sound is also very nice and growling like Starset, Deftones etc. Does anyone know how they tune up? A, C, dropped C?
Masterpiece every song. Noah’s voice is incredible.
The lull was the same for me with a couple of the middle songs. I actually made a playlist of the album minus those couple lol album itself is great, but could do without a couple
Same. I took out Bad Decisions and Who Are You but left in Somebody Else. It's a much better collection of 12 songs (13 by track, but What it Cost IS part of Villain and makes Villain that much better as a whole).
Not only do I hear BMTH with these guys alot, more their heavier sound, but their melodic sound has huge, you me at six vibes. Not heard this full album yet and they're joining BMTH in January for their UK tour. Super excited saw you me at six last time i sae BMTH and now love that band, its a when im in the mood kinda vibe
Am I the only one mad that he completely missed out on the best parts of lyrics on the death of piece of mind?
The band produced the whole album themselves, I think Noah is a genius the way he's so versatile he could probably bring out a country song and make it a hit 🤣 the mixing/mastering was done by Zakk Cervini he's worked with BMTH, Architects and many more. This album for me is my number 1 and I didn't think that they could beat FGBGFM.
The whole album is amazing!!! I think that you didn’t pay attention to the lyrics and Noah’s vocals…and you have to see them live, they are even better!!
You were way too hard on the pop style songs. That's all i have to say. Lol
The stank face at the breakdown 😭 so good.
I feel like What it Cost should be the beginning of Like A Villian.....they just cut the track short for radio
You have to see these guys live. They are just as good live as the album
But also this album is really different so they Released heavy singles because this was all gonna be a surprise
Full amazing album💪
Noah might be the most talented artist on the block right now! The way bad omens can venture into so many genres. And I loooooove the contrast of their music!
15:30 ish, couldn't agree more. I think from the 2nd chorus on these songs are stellar, most are stellar all the way through but even ones that maybe aren't my style payoff in the final 1/3 of the song.
This album was a masterpiece, enjoy
It's great to see u without the hat, bro.
Concrete Jungle is probably my favourite out of the non-single ones.
I’m glad most people agree with what i’m gonna say as I also completely disagree about the slower songs. You just need to appreciate the variety and talent these guys have to make an album this good.
It's different..but it's fucking awesome! This band is just a banger!
Bad Decisions is nice just a chill song with a nice vibe. But its alright if you dont like it then so it is
Miracle it’s great
Love Bad Omens! You should react to Imminence - they're amazing!
Ik its all opinion at the end of the day but bad decisions is a vibe, not every song has to bump imo and the lyrics are all to relatable for a lot of ppl
Cuando escucho What Do You Want From Me? y Artificial Suicide me siento en el universo de Cyberpunk
I didn’t know you had hair! Wow! Ya think ya know a guy… 😜
Watching your reaction as I type this.
What it cost and like a villain were originally one song but it was to long so they cut into two songs
noah do everthing music enragement
When you were talking about making faces in the car😂😂 I got the stink eye from a lady 10 years younger than me for blasting this album from my car at a red light. I gave her the peace sign and rocked on!!
I’m only 42.. I’m not ancient lol
Noah Sebastian 🤤🤤
