Give Your Walls a Lift: DIY Cardboard Shelf with Popsicle Stick Design!

This is a perfect project for anyone who wants to add some extra storage space to their home without spending a lot of money. Cardboard is a versatile and inexpensive material that can be transformed into functional and decorative furniture.

Here's what you'll need:
Cardboard (corrugated cardboard would work well)
Ruler
Pencil
Craft knife or box cutter (use with caution!)
Scissors (optional)
Hot glue gun with glue sticks
Popsicle sticks (various colors, if desired)

Paint brushes (optional)
Let's get crafting!
Cut the cardboard. Use your ruler and pencil to measure and draw the pieces for your shelf on the cardboard. You will need two large pieces for the sides and shelves, and two smaller pieces for the back supports.
Cut out the cardboard pieces. Use your craft knife or box cutter to carefully cut out the cardboard pieces you drew in step 1. Be sure to cut on a cutting mat to protect your work surface.
Assemble the shelf. Use hot glue to secure the cardboard pieces together to form the shelf frame. The two larger pieces will form the sides and shelves, and the two smaller pieces will create supports in the back of the shelf.
Popsicle stick design (optional). This is where you can get creative! You can paint your popsicle sticks if you want. Then, use hot glue to adhere the popsicle sticks to the front of the shelf in any pattern you like. You could create a geometric design, a mosaic pattern, or a random arrangement.
Painting (optional). If you want to paint your shelf, now is the time to do it. You can paint the entire shelf one color, or paint the cardboard and the popsicle sticks separately.
Let the paint dry completely. Once you've finished painting (if you did), allow the paint to dry completely.
And voila! You've created a beautiful and unique DIY cardboard shelf with a popsicle stick design!
Here are some additional tips:
If you want a sturdier shelf, you can use thicker cardboard or reinforce the shelf with duct tape.
You can add brackets or mounting hardware to the back of the shelf to hang it on the wall.
Cardboard shelves are not ideal for storing very heavy items. Use your best judgment to decide what you will store on your shelf.
