I haven't binge watched it all yet, nor do I have any knowledge of what you did in the Air Force, but I was a sheet metal guy in the Navy. you have Klecos and a thing for speed holes. my guess is you did air frames in the AF... "not a sheet metal guy" if I had nickel every time you said that...
dude, the floor and the tool boxes look freakin' awesome! wonderful work! i started watching your CURRENT videos, so naturally, i went back and started watching early on up until now...... you've definately broken out of your shell over the years! love the content, LOVE THE RIDES!
You always do a great job! Also, I’m glad you don,t edit out the mistakes. EVERYONE makes them. However, when you make one you are teaching your viewers not to pass it off for ok. Just slap it on and forget it. No, you are teaching what is right. Scrap your mistakes, start over, and do it right! So, your work ethic and sense of perfection in our work no matter what it is, is much needed today! For that I thank you!
It's awesome that you got to take the time to do this build the way you wanted and would be proud of it. I'm finally transitioning myself away from slamming crap together to keep a rig on the road and your videos are a great guide to what a guy can do, and how to do it properly.
I like to have a game plan but sometimes I’ll over think something and waste more time then if I would of built it and been unhappy with it and built it again. Sometimes you just gotta dive into it
Gotta say that was a great little project, you took what was basically wasted space and made it useful. Nice little bead work you put in there, makes it stronger and gave it some style. And it tied it in with the sheet metal in the back
Every video I've watched so far has been a trip down memory lane. All those #30 clecos reminded me of an industry I worked in for 5 years till the bottom fell out. I loved what I did then. Keep up the great work!
You are funny as hell. You do great work. A lot of your fabrication is a lot more than most shops would do and the quality is top notch. I love watching you thank you.
this is coming together nicely....probly a bit of overkil for storage under the seat as you say but what the hell....its just a bit of time and does look very neat and tidy.....good work...😎😎😎
I hear you on over thinking a project. I’m my own worst enemy. I will measure something and make it right to the mark. Not giving myself any wiggle room. But I have realized over the years to give a little room and things go together a lot better. I know some things need to be exact but others don’t.
man you killed it TY so much I have been looking for a real nice compression latches for my project carryall and am considering an under seat storage as well TYTYTYTY you da man!!!!!!!
You are doing great. My Dad ownedasalvage yard so I could put an engine together by the age of 9. My Dad passed and my younger brother and I inherit aged the yard. I built a fab shop complete with2 lifts, a paint booth and a 2 acre plot to use for sandblasting. I get guys building project that want me to blast. My company also undercoats. We build our own frames. I tried restoration but it did not pay well. I got into building restomods. That made me a rich man. I have friends from high school and their sons working for me. If I get a barn find and the motor can be rebuilt, I rebuild it. My clientele is mostly rich people that want a muscle car. I make a minimum of 75k a vehicle or I will not work on it. You are a guy who could build something, if you wanted, thatwouls do very well at any auction. You are ready for SEMA IF YOU CAN BUILD A CLASSIS. THE PATINA CRAZE IS NOT POPULAR ANY MORE
the only 2 changes I can think of would have been to use piano hinges for the storage box lids and all those panels out of stainless. A shame to hide all that great work under paint
Serously, you need to get in touch with IHPartsAmerica.com They will probably buy these parts from you. I know another guy who makes fuel tanks for them.
like it or not, your a sheet metal guy now. good video
But I’m not a sheet metal guy!
Maybe not a journeyman, but a sheet metal guy just the same :)
Dang tin nocker I say!
@@PuddinsFabShop Uhhm, yep, you are definitely a sheet metal guy.

Thank you! Free storage space!
I had my doubt about the 1 hinge per door but looks like it works fine. It turned out looking really good. So much for not being a sheet metal guy.
Two would be better.
Great job. They turned out great. Another great video 👍👍🇨🇱
Thanks Shane!!
"Start making moves" might be the best advice I've heard in a while.
