In order to recover, do you have to stay in a state of peace all the time? I find it hard to switch off the stress response unless i'm at home doing nothing, but then I feel bored.

Sorry for not responding sooner. My story is I burned out in 2008 and couldn’t function properly. I didn’t know what was going on and I even thought I was going to die. I had pain all over my body and was diagnosed as having Fibromyalgia. Doctors said take the prescribed medication and this is your new life. I decided no it doesn’t have to be that way. I wasn’t going to give up on me, even if the NHS had. I had many second opinions from various doctors and was also diagnosed with ME/CFS. I then found Alex and the team and was drawn to what they were saying. It made sense. I attended a 3 day workshop in London where they were based and the journey to recovery started. They helped you understand why you got to where you are. Looking back it was a matter of time when I would burn out. It starts the day you are born. I was predisposed to becoming I’ll. Most of my life I cared about what others thought of me, always cared about others and never put my self first. My life battery eventually went flat. So they coached me on nutritional things that my body needed. I also needed some supplements to support my recovery. Exercise was also important and I don’t mean running marathons. Meditation, yoga etc. The big ticket item was psychological. How you think has to change - when you get that parking ticket am I the victim and why me. I did get a parking ticket and embraced it rather than being a victim, draining your life battery. Being that caring person sometimes you have to say no to others and be okay about it. Don’t become that victim of your thoughts. Becoming I’ll was the best thing that happened to me and finding Alex and the team. If I continued with what I did I the past I am sure I would not be here today. So never say I want to get back to normal. Normal was killing me. Recover and get support from great people like Alex and embrace the new normal. Create your own good look. No one else will do it for you. Good bless

    Yes please!
I had my adhd medication stopped in January and have been going through a lot of stress to try and get it back, national shortage is now blocking me!
I've had a full blood test - every thing is fine, kidney, liver, vitamin, thyroid, all fine!
I even had an ECG and my heart is fine too.
I suffer with chronic fatigue, depression and stress and the ADHD medication helped with all three due to being able to keep my home and work running as it should. Without my medication the ADHD symptoms make everything overwhelming and I feel depressed.
I had a lot of childhood trauma, way above average and I now go to reiki session which I find extremely helpful and plan on going more than once a month to try and release blocked energy.
I cannot go to or stand talk therapy as it's to stressful for my nervous system and makes me ten times worse as social anxiety is my hardest and most debilitating symptoms in life, therefore socialising with a therapist is excruciating and after paying for private therapy for a year and no improvement, in fact worsening, I quit!
Reiki is incredible and I got more out of a couple sessions than I did in western therapy styles.
Reiki is incredible for me coz I can lye down and be quiet and shut my eyes and allow the practitioner to encourage and invite healing without the stress of talking about everything. I recommend everyone with childhood trauma try it out.
However, I am so frustrated at this fatigue. I look in the mirror at my 32 year old face and I see lack of vitality!
I am so frustrated and the mood swinging and the lack of energy and motivation that is random on its allowance!
    I want to heal!
Im on the right path and I eat very healthy but I'm frustrated at the speed of my healing.
Looking forward to your future videos and sharing of wisdom on healing the nervous system and overcoming the fatigue that is caused by the residue of trauma. ❤

I can relate to your story a lot! Have you listened to the “crappy childhood fairy”? Her name is Anna 🧚‍♀️ and she has speaks about how childhood trauma affects us as adults. She also talks about how talk therapy often does NOT work. Check her out if you haven’t. Prayers for your healing 🙏

Great video, I can relate to this completely! I found help in dealing with past trauma. There are a lot of great channels about that on this platform, but _Crappy Childhood Fairy_ is one of the best by far! God bless all those who suffer from this 🙏

I have had long covid on and off for two years. I have experienced all five symptoms very strongly sometimes all at once and sometimes individually.

I've been in touch so many times and eventually Jo from your practice said she would be my support person at the clinic she called me once then never called back.
For someone who is struggling hugely that wasn't a good thing to have happened to me

I'd have to say that I deal with all five of the commonly experienced symptoms that you listed - with the addition of gut related problems.
I look forward to your upcoming videos on how to reset and switch off the maladaptive stress response.

My son and I have this after mold and heavy EMF exposure. Both him and I were enjoying perfect health before the few years in that apartment. I stayed awake for 10 days straight only napping 1/2 hour at a time. Digestive system madness, migraines, tremors, temperature issues, excessive thirst, rapid weight loss, red eyes, anxiety off the chart, muscle weakness, nausea, numbness, extreme exhaustion. Sometimes it’s the environmental toxins and other influences that create this dysfunction and not childhood. We moved and are 90% better after a year. Healing is always possible.

Having been trapped in the stress response for yours, due to ptsd from trauma multiple times, I thought I was winging it. I thought I was strong. Then I got the ‘flu’ in 2021 for 3 weeks and didn’t go back to my normal feeling which was already bad but not this bad. I was overwhelmed with fear on top of fear. I’m anemic. So you can imagine how I feel. 3 children, full time work and then the Home to run. I’ve been in a spiral of fear and trying to fix myself for YEARS AND YEARS. The smallest excitement sends a surge of adrenaline and cortisol through me and I shake. I need to know what to do. I am trying so hard to do all the things but truly, I have to admit now, I am stuck 🥲♥️
