Igor Krutoy is not only the pianist but the composer of the music and producer of the show. He has been the biggest composer and music producer in Russia for the past decades. Think of him as a (10x) bigger equivalent of David Foster for Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
Dmitri Hvorostovsky is russian and, the last years of his career, he was baryton at the Royal London Opera. He was in fact one of the most famous baryton in the world and performed on all big opera scenes.
As Lara, he was one of Igor’s best friends and sang many compositions of Igor. You already covered Ti Amo Cosi, a trio featuring Dimash and Lara: it was initially composed by Igor for Dmitri and Lara. When he sadly passed away in 2017 from brain cancer, they both were devastated.
Lara sang this song again, as a tribute to Dmitri, with a video of Dmitri singing in the background and both Lara and Igor were very emotional after this perf.
Lara is a pop legend in many countries in the world. Considered as a vocal peer to Celine, Whitney and Mariah, she is second-to-none in conveying emotions and telling a story. She is also a songwriter in 4 languages … and a pianist 😂
Lara is an inspiration for Dimash in many many ways and he has been a fan since he is a child.
She has been prevented to succeed in english speaking countries by politics from Celine’s staff who got her blocked by their joint US record company: Sony.
But now thru the covers of Dimash and other vocalists from the new generation, these countries are rediscovering the amazing artistry of Lara.
She has solid classica background and only moved away from an operatic soprano career to pop as she is first and foremost a songwriter.

There is a lot to tell about Dmitry, his life, his fate, is human qualities and actions. But yes, he didn't die old. He was 55 years old. He was a very decent man. By the way, he studied piano as a child. And he was predicted to have a career as a great pianist )

Hello. When Lara was young , she lived in Sicily . She is fluent in Italian , French , and English . I' ve heard her sing in Spanish and Russian.She resides in Canada now.

I actually prefer the version sung by Charles Aznavour with Polina Gagarina! As for Dmitri, I actually saw him sing in Red Square along with the Soprano Anna Netrebko!! It was a great back drop with St Basils behind them with the Kremlin and the G.U.M. flanking the sides with clear evening sky!! Unforgettable it was!!
