- Hello, welcome all to this Easy DIY Uprage Video.
Swift Dzire Instrument Cluster Upgradation (With RPM meter) installed to a Swift Dzire (Tour S) also know as (LDi) without any wiring changes or stripping, just a connector to connector upgrade.

I had bought the cluster from second hand bazaar from Shivajinagar, Bangloare. You can also get a new one from your Maruti Geniue Parts Shop or even from Boodmo or go with refurbished, But be careful guys and make sure you get the same fuel type of your vehicle, other fuel cluster are not compatiable, only Diesel Cluster for Diesel and petrol for petrol......

Asif, you have solved my problem. I have contacted many electricians, mechanics, they were like ECU and wiring change krana padega..bhot mehnga padega 1-1.5 lakhs tak ka xpense ho jayega and all. I am very thankfull to you bro..... Will surely do it..

@@123ind yes possible, just purchase the Cluster according to your model (2nd gen + Fuel Type) and exchange it..... Mostly the "LDi/LXi 'Optional" variant is the same as our "Tour S" variant.....

Yes, RPM meter change can be done on this.... KMS reading will be stored in the Speedometer itself, so if u Change meter, the reading also changes to what so ever is driven on that meter, you can continue with same reading or get the changed fron the meter works person to whatever you want....

Old version Dzire I don't have so sorry can't make it, but if u r looking for a Tachometer, you can easily add one (RPM meter from Ritz)... If yes then let me know....

@@girisworld9954 sure, I have a suggestion for power windows upgrade, try to get it done cleanly, by first purchasing the Driver door Pad, then a power window controller (driver side set), then the original window mechanism (1500* for front, 550* for rear - each unit price), wiring set, then for rest doors get only switch, wiring kit, power window mechanism - all original, box any how whichever is available.... It's looks neat like an VDI-ZDi (Probably you can upgrade to electric-folding mirror also in future - I have done that and it's awesome).... It's a bit costly but the job will be neat and clean.

I have swift dzire Lxi 2017 and I want to replace the instrument cluster as it does not have rpm metre.
What about the odometer readings?
Does the obd reading remain the same?
No, Odometer Meter is stored in Instrument Cluster only, so if you replace, what that meter has stored it will display.... But if u want to continue your same reading, go to a meter repair workshop, they will reset/reinput the number you give....

Your is base Variant I guess, and by changing cluster I guess there is no related to central locking.... Does you model has factory locking or aftermarket?
Bhai mere paas new tour s cng hai 2020 model Mai kis car ka meter lagaye isme cng meter bhi dhyan rakhna hai, old model ertiga cng ya new model ertiga cng.
Ertiga ka hi try kar sakte ho..... Second hand market me ge ka, cluster purchase karne ke pehle ek bar sirf connecter laga ke check kar lo ke meter kam kar rahe ke nahi..... I am not sure but mostly Ertiga ka work karega....

Yes sure, aap bhi Upgrade kar sakte ho.... Agar new Speedometer - Cluster purchase kiya toh Price approx (Rs.6500-7000) tak ka ayaga, aur refurbished/second hand approx (Rs.2500-4000)..

Aur Non Abs model car he, aur ABS model cluster purchase kiya toh ABS+Parking (same as my cluster) light on rehte he all time, but braking ya driving me kuch problem nahin ayega, aur Handbrake on toh warning sound ayega as usual, sirf light off nahin hota he....

It is expected to work properly of Ertiga, no person has replied untill yet whether it works or not....
Can give a try with at the time of purchase.... You can ask the person that we will test it before purchase and see once...

Swift Dzire me speed lock ECM (Software) se lock kiya jata he, iske liye garage / service center mein ja ke speed open (Software reset) karna padega, uske bad aapki 80 ke upar jayegi....
Agar petrol / CNG model he toh, Headlight ke near me ABS connector nikal ne se open hote he (BUT safety ka risk he). Diesel model ke liye compulsory software reset karana he. Mein bhi kiye he 4months no problem till now....

Yes you can.... Purchase the Instrument Cluster new or refurbished... But the same type (since yours Is also, Diesel Variant - Purchase the Diesel Variant Cluster).
(I believe you know this, but to identify the cluster)
Diesel Variant - RPM guage comes 0-6000rpm.
Petrol Variant - RPM guage comes 0-8000rpm.
Mere pss LDI drize h 2015 model par boodmo par bhut model ki speedometer aa rhe hai kise pata chalega konsa shai hai please help ?
Diesel model ke liye, rpm meter check karo (0-6000) wala hi diesel ke liye he.
Aur us list se me koi bhi 0-6000 wala le sakte ho, ho sakta he ke top end ka bhi mil jaye but outside temperature sayad nahi show hoga. Aur new lene se 2nd hand try karo (refurbished lelo, cheap bhi aata he)
But online boodmo par bhut model aa rhe ha at least 6 to 7 meter hai toh konsa shi hai kise pta chalega

I also change my meter cluster but problem appears like check engine because of the abs triggered even if my dzire has no abs but the new cluster had it.

CNG I have not tried, but expect karta hun ke, Ertiga ka Speedometer (Jisme CNG aur Petrol) ka meter tha, agar wo particular model ka miljaye toh work karega..... Ya phir Petrol wala speedometer le kar fit kar sakte ho, but CNG ka meter nahin milega....

@@diamondsalonbysohail5574 if it's a company fitted CNG kit, then you can only try Ertiga Speedometer, because that was the only model with kind of specs and config.... It is estimated to work, but still I haven't recieved any complaints or a not working message from any of the followers....

@@atulshendge9564 yes, RPM, speed, Fuel, Coolant Temperature, Seatbelt, EPS light, Check engine light.... Only Airbag, ABS, Parking Brake light might give problem based on your model....

Hi, Swift (2nd Generation, Type 1 - 2011-2014 model) VDi* doesn't have ABS, but had an optional variant (VDi O) of ABS....
Sir i have a swift type -3 ldi 2nd generation model...which have no abs system ...so can i install swift 2nd generation speedometer because in type 3 have a abs system and it blinking light when i fit it ....
@@saurabhs_03 you can fit the speedometer hopefully it will cause no fault (as your model doesn't have ABS, so normal brake will not be effected), about the blinking ABS light I didn't get that.... But one of the person texted me about a query of security switch and he said he flashed (software change) the instrument cluster with Non-ABS model and it worked fine (without any unwanted lights and even parking brake symbol did work for him, he said)

How much this meter cost? And from where I can buy this off-line. I am from Delhi
Instrument Cluster new will cost you around Rs.6000-7000, and a refurbished one will cost you Rs.3000-4000, and can be purchased from Maruti Genuine Parts shop, in Bangalore (NEMA motors are authorised sellers), in Delhi based on maps it's showing "NorthEnd Distributors"... Can have a visit....
Remember to buy the proper fuel and lower variant if possible (as, if you purchase top end, outside temperature will be blank (not shown)....

Yes, VXI ka stock nahin mile rahe... Agar aapki LXI mein ABS nahin hein toh, ZXI install karne se ABS ligth on hi rehta he..... Aur ZXI install kiya toh Outside temperature bhi Blank show hota rahe ga, but all things work karega...
Ek Viewer ne upgrade kiye he, aur usne photo bhi share kiya tha mere sath....

@@abhishekmalhotra4553 Yes he, Meter works people ke pas, software update (back to Non-ABS model) ka software load karen toh ABS light and parking off hojayega.... One of the viewer has done the same and he sent me proof.... Meter Works ko ek bar puch ke dekhen....

Yes that's because of the ABS unit, if your doesn't have it and Speedometer is of ABS model, it shows error, one person said he changed the software of Speedometer and it worked properly...

Agar vo small bootspace yani (2nd gen) he toh, hain ho jayega.... Agar badi bootspace (1st gen) he toh I am not sure, but usme Ritz ka RPM Meter fit kar sakte hain....

KMS reading speedometer set me save hota hain, agar chahiye toh meter repair shop me reset / change kara sakte hain....

2008 ka cluster upgrade doubt he ke nahi hoga, but usme alag se Ritz ka RPM meter add kar sakte hein....

As of now i have not done that, have to get the software of cluster updated/downgraded to Non ABS, that is what is expected to turn off this error, Also this is based on a viewer who has shared his experience
Once i do it, will post the video, but so soon.... As i am planning for to get the Ciaz (White and blue ring) Cluster to be fitted in my Dzire.....

No, unless you have ABS model then only it will work properly or else the Handbrake + ABS will be on all the time... But it will.not affect the driving...

Yes, its working fine, and even in driving i didnt get any issues.. You can also go ahead if interested...
Its a completely safe upgrade, *(except the part that the ABS, Brake light is on always, as it doesn't show in case real problem, even for this someone shared that updating the proper Software for cluster from meter works person will resolve this).

New meter will cost you around Rs.6000 to 7000, depending on stock and variant availability, and a refurbished one would cost appox Rs.3500....

I would be glad to help you, actually I don't have a 1st gen Dzire with me to do and show the work.... But for details you can check a Blog of TeamBHP, Ritz Tachometer in Swift LDi, basically it's easier for you just take the tach signal from EPS unit and connect to Ritz Tach (Make sure to purchase the Diesel Variant)...

Koi aur system nhi hai kya brake light off karne ka
1st Option - (Recommended) Is to change the Software/firmware of the Instrument Cluster. One of our subscriber did it and works well without anyissues or any light, mostly done by Meter works shop only...
2nd Option - (Not Recommended) is to take off the led illuminating the 2 symbol

I already purchased a seprate rpm but the electrician doesn't know where to connect it.
@@jefflaurenbautista8297 even I am not sure... But RPM aftermarket or Ritz OEM.... Cause even traced a lot of wires, nothing worked for RPM signal, even in the Meter Cable, no separate RPM line will be their, in that ECM data comes which the meter decodes and the RPM shows.... Direct is mostly not possible especially in Diesel Variant...

Yeh diesel model ki video he, CNG model abhi tak nahin try kiya but expect karta hun ke Ertiga ka Meter CNG ke liye kam kar sakta he....

Brand new Cluster (Rs.7000* approx), refurbished based on condition may be from (Rs.2500)..... Fitting u can only do it by seeing the video, or I can do it for you if ur from Bangalore.....

Yes, you can try with the Ertiga Cluster which was once sold with Petrol + CNG meter (instead of Coolant Temp).... If your car has CNG fitted by the Company (Suzuki itself)....
