12:05 YESSSS!!! People really thought I was crazy for taking it 5 times, it doesn't look bad! Most schools superscore. My score literally went from the 1200s to 1500s just by taking it over and over again. Moral of the story: if you can afford it, take it again!

usf is my top school right now, i have a 3.7 unweight gpa 4.12 weighted, my sat score is 1110.. but i’m attempting the ACT in october which i’m really nervous for because this is most likely my last chance to raise my test scores

Hey I have a question, I have a 3.7 unweighted gpa (I’m an junior) and a 4.8 weighted gpa, I’m in a couple clubs that I’m good, have a lot of community hours and I haven’t taken the SAT but I’m prepping so much for it. Where do you think I stand?
Do FSU look at unweighted gpa or the academic core gpa??

Hi, I think it’s a personal decision. I wouldn’t trade my IB experience for the world. It requires like 110% of your effort and time. I know AP is a lighter work load cause you can pick and choose which AP classes you want to take. It’s totally up to you!

Hey I just got accepted to USF today! And I’m in the biomedical major on a premed track. I was wondering if you know what semester is best to study abroad for since it is hard to mix that with our “pre-med” schedule. Also I know this isn’t important regarding my question but I am in IB too and I know the struggle haha.
Congrats! And I would say probably sophomore/junior year. Just cause you’ll be settled into the way everything works by then, and then also you can figure out which program you’d wanna do.

I would really love to go to USF my gpa is almost a 5.0 however I have really bad test anxiety and I dont do well at all in exams😭 im taking the ACT tomorrow so im just praying that I do well on this hoping for atleast a 25 ❤️

I live in Florida too and I'm currently a sophomore and I'm also in the PRE-IB program and my school has the IBDP and IB-Career Program for 11 and 12 graders and I'm having a hard time if I'm deciding if I wanna do DP , CP or just do dual enrollment and get my associate's degree while in highschool
not too sure abt the career program, but at my school the IBDP is very intense and MANY students drop out because of this. it is not for everyone
Hi! I did IBDP and it was very helpful in the long run as I got college credit for courses, and an 100% academic scholarship. If you do dual enrollment, DO NOT get a low grade because it will follow you into college and impact your college undergraduate gpa.
Alright so I want to be given a straight answer. I got like a 2.83 GPA freshman to sophomore year, senior year is not looking good with really bad grades just cause of COVID. My SAT is a 1160 superscore but plan to retest for a 3rd time in March. Otherwise my activities and community service are all pretty good, not a president or anything but I’ve proven I’m dedicated to my community and stuff. Do I even stand a chance getting in this year or would it be better to go to Florida Tech freshman year and reapply to USF if my grades are better there. Like I said I want it straight so let me know if I barely stand a chance or may slightly stand a chance.

I have a 3.3 unweighted gpa, and 3.6 weighted, I’m in my junior year and am really working to try and get my gpa up in the next two years. I have yet to take the sat but does anyone know if I have a chance of getting into usf. So stressed that my stats aren’t good enough 😬

Hii so you probably won't see this but I live in Tampa and I'm going to high school but I will be taking collegiate academy. ( where I take legit ap classes kinda like IB except I get a associate degree ) anyways I wanna be a OB/GYN. And I really don't know what to do. I think I have to choose to do like Biology or Chemistry? Anyways what should I do if I wanna be a OB/GYN because in the highschool I'm going too I will have Health Sciences and stuff like that to try to become a OB/GYN. Pleasr help🥺 sorry if that's alot but to shorten it I'd like to know what I have to Major in, in order to become a OB/GYN also which university? USF in tampa or UF?
major in premed bio (or bio)
anything science! Biomed is a popular one. Health Sciences. Biology/Chemistry.
as for university, its completely up to you! USF and UF are both great for careers related to health science since they're partnered with hospitals/programs in the area. I would say go to whichever school gives you the most grants/scholarships.
