Presence is the key and I still use exercises from 'The Power of Now" which I read over 20 years ago. If you take it to an even higher level and become so present as to lose your sense of identity (your name, job, hair color etc.) which is programming based anyway you step into your TRUE identity, which is Spirit and energy in a human existence; everything changes as you step out of the illusion because you begin to meld more deeply with Spirit, or Source
It seems there are things I'm not able yet fully understand. I am aware of the ego and pure consciousness and I am able to tap into the presence often (not for a long time, but still). I still have a constant battle in my head. One part of me wants to just be present, enjoy every second of life, feel the energy of everything and live calmly in the mountains in a small house. But the other part of me wants to build something big, earn something (yeah even money - not to be better and more rich than others and build strong ego, but to enjoy some normally unavailable things and secure my family), and be reckognized somehow in this world. If I'm in a fully present state i have tendency to really not care about anything and I have no desire to build something in this world. Yet the state is enjoyable, but the other part of me wants to do these things, not egoisticly, but to achieve and make this world a better place not just for myself, but others. As you type about lose of your sense of identity (name, job etc.) - Somehow I really don't want to do it. I respect my parents and I want to make them proud and honor them and I don't want to lose my identity, my name, all good aspects of my personality and the way I am. Yet I wan't to live fully in present without EGO. When I obtained my college degree it seemed that my parents were more happy about that than me. I want to be happy about my achievements and share the happiness with them but in the present moment it seems I can't do it. So I'm very confused about that and it's a thing I somehow cannot understand yet. I don't know if y'all understand me, but I would be glad if there's somebody who could explain this to me.
As well as a person with a yet small company with few employees I have to sometimes be authoritative. Sometimes I need to use negative motivation and be tougher than normally on them. If I want to build something.. something which the society will benefit from I just need to do it. Everybody knows that and it's a concept which is done for a decades and it's working like that. If i wouldn't do it, my employees (as a normal people) would instantly use me or use it to somehow cheat on the job and thus slow the grow of the thing I want to build. I need to be performance oriented to do my job right. Yet it seems I am not able to do it in pure present state. I am really wondering about how to connect the business focused on performance and the present moment and living without ego. How to work harder than other companies and still be present and without ego. I am really battling with myself and I can't understand it yet.

I have noticed that I have become much more focused and efficient in my work after I started listening to Eckhart. I now try not to multi-task, but do one thing at a time. I find my job much more enjoyable too.
Be totally present (not even thinking) and fully aware...and curious and openly receptive. Allow the grace of inspiration to come.
My dad was a toll booth collector in Chicago and then he moved up to the money room to count money. He was a man of loving kindness and a simple man. He gave big bear hugs. I miss him and his presence and loving kindness. Thank you echart. Much love and peace to you.

I have been asked “who are you” a couple times throughout my life. I have changed my answer now 4 times, and I believe this is the final time.
First, it was “I am music.” But I realized I do much more than make music so then…
I answered “I am vibration” but I realized it’s too vague.
Then, and this was my answer before watching, I said “I am human” but Eckart said “it’s a terrible fate if you only know yourself as a human. Then, finally, out of nowhere, I realized.
“I am”

Well, it happens to me. I am a translator, and when I can't find the meaning of a word or a phrase, I ask for help to my Presence, who guides me to the internet dictionary or website that makes me understand what I am looking for. And it has not happened once, but many many times. I do feel my Presence's support. And I think that I was guided to Eckhart's teachings because of 2 things: first, since the begining of the pandemics, my wife and I began to meditate on a daily basis, and second, when I discovered Joe Dispenza's meditations, in which he guides people to project themselves to be only awareness. The difference is that Eckhart guides you to live in the power of now almost effortlessly! Thank you!

🙏🏼 thank you for your teachings I’ve experienced a gradual awakening over the past 3 years.
My presence has grown exponentially, but still frequently struggle with the mind trying to make sense of presence.
(Obsessively searching, trying to find the meaning, meditating for hours a day trying to “be”)
Even with the shift of intense presence, my mind says “now what?” And reached a point to where being aware isn’t “fun” or “exciting” as it was when the shift originally happened.
Your teachings remind me that for most people the shift won’t happen like how it happened to you, it’s gradual. And to incorporate presence in daily life knowing that it grows everyday, and not to fight the mind when it creeps back in, but to be aware
I love the pace of these videos, most youtube videos I watch frustrate me when there is silence cut out and it can ruin the enjoyment of it.

The last couple of months Eckhart and other teachers have helped me to heal from deep trauma and to know my true self. To reacquaint me with my deep and infinite, always present self. When the c19 happened I didn’t know what to do . But my love of painting keep me going. I paint Vw bugs it just what I like to do for fun . I found my self working in the am hours . Me my love and the moon for one year . And it happened to me the power of stillness. I felt I was the only person on the planet. I stop thinking for 3 hours. Ohh,.....indeed. So it flows, as an artist, composer, instrumentalist i may recieve a great present by this video of Tolle! Now i know how i could survive a long chain of trauma's. To disappear in the tremendous world of creativity , which is love indeed, and no one can take that away. Creativity gave me life back and transforms inspite into a world full of uncousious humans, still, there is no end of it.. And when there is struggle in the process of creativity than the ego is standing in the way, that's why being an artist is not easy at all but such a great opportunity to grow in the real identity. Dear Mr. TOLLE , you talk about the benefit or power of being present, but how can we get to that point, what are the process?
Man, Eckhart looks 40 yeas old, more or less. It doesn't seems like he's 74! I notice something similar to me, when I'm very present and rooted as only consciousness in my body, my skin looks cleaner, brighter and more flushed, and I'm only 22 years.

Does becoming present heal your mind? Perhaps you gain a greater ability to focus and enjoy. I struggle because I have aspirations, desires, and goals that i don’t want to let go of. But I also have obsessional thinking and insecurities that cloud my mind and ability to focus that I do want to let go of. Becoming present and aware means accepting the moment as it is.
It seems to bring a greater dimension of beauty to the world, or rather to your awareness of that and your deeper nature. This rectifies the insecurities within but leaves you wondering if you have to abandon that which means a lot to you. Identities and achievements can be fun sometimes. Must you let go of desire? I feel that you may be more capable when you let go of it in a given moment. Perhaps you use it to give you a heading and then remain present for the journey? But I feel that this awareness and acceptance allows your headspace to be able to become one with what you are trying to achieve. But on some level there was desire otherwise you wouldn’t be there doing what your doing.

Presence is always now. Probably. i beg to be pardoned for being yet addressing ,"i beg to etc" there is this possibility of mistaking presence in terms of quantum . Probably, probably, it is pressence which is ,subltly obvious in this video. I ,for one still completely contented with the answer given to a devotee by, Bhagavan Ramamana Maharshi, to a question , " What should be our attitude towards others?". Bhagavan, " There are no Others." I worship this Bagavan, not as a personality. As a representation of Truth. How do I worship? By showing compassion, kindness to every life form and even regarding the so called non living thing with the kind of attention it needs. I enjoy gardening. To be always reminded by the flowers , leaves, earthworms, butterflies, etc. , who are mirrors. (Yet, i am practical to the point of using insecticides)
