Hi CnP, in regards to the covered calls, is there a metric which describes the probability of the strike price being reached by the specified date?
I believe the delta is what you’re referring to. Usually it’s shown as a decimal. When I was looking for a good strike price to sell, I was aiming for under .25. Realistically I don’t want to sell, but if I had to, I’d be up a considerable amount in 3 months time. Not sure what I’ll end up going with but that was my initial thought.

No. It would be cheaper for them to just buy it at market price
@@ASMRCollectNPlay that’s what I’m saying tho, so since it’s cheaper to buy at the market price your call that your selling never gets assigned
What happens to the contract if the stock doesn’t reach that price? Do you lose any money?
as the seller, thats what you want. you don't lose any money, you keep the premium you received from whoever bought the calls you sold.
and since the stock didnt go above the strike price you sold for, you dont have to sell any shares either.

if you're just starting out, webull and robinhood are always good places to start! Once you get more advanced, or if you want to skip the noobie stage, go with Charles Schwab. they're solid

He’s a finance double major if he does enough significant research for each individual stock he chooses, I guarantee his overall close position of profit compared to his loss close position on stocks will most likely be larger.
