Right now I’m all about mixed media and altered art but I dream of being able to paint an actual scene. I’ve gone ahead and put in an order for some mop brushes. I have most everything else.
And I agree with you regarding editing video content. Oh my gosh it’s so time consuming. I have to do some video content for the design teams I’m on and editing can take as long as the project. Hours and hours of faffing around.
Your approach of just giving us the raw footage (almost) is wise and actually it’s good for learners to see any little hiccups along the way. It’s less daunting to know it’s ok to be human and forget to mask off the road before starting the white. 🙃

aww thank you so much for saying this! I feel bad for providing basically raw footage, but right now it's the only way I can mentally handle making tutorials. The feedback on them, though, has been great - lots of people are saying they like seeing the mistakes along the way and how I go about fixing them. Your videos are so soothing! I know you said it’s stressful to edit your videos but please please don’t stop uploading them. We don’t care if it’s unedited or your cat is trying to sabotage 😄 if anything, it shows that you’re authentic 🙏

I love watching your work even with the sniffles lol. I have only been painting for a little over a year, but you are one of my favorite artist to watch. I have learned so much since I found your TikTok.
Not sure if you’ve tried it, but golden has a liquid called Acrylic Retarder. Little goes a long way and makes the working time of your acrylics last longer. It also helps to have a squirt bottle with water to spritz on your plate and your canvas if need be.
I actually like the blue green one better than the original. Beautiful!

Personally, I love videos that are raw (unedited) because they feel more authentic. We would miss out on the awesome kitty sounds if it was edited and that would make us sad. Meanwhile, I am sitting here hoping for a glimpse of the kitty and thankful that I am not alone in trying to paint with a nearby attention seeking kitty having a fit. :)
