In your graph there is no current in the primary during the inactivity period..... but I think it is due to the snubber network and therefore there will be induction in the secondary.... Your explanation is good.... greetings from paraguay

Thanks so much for taking the time to make this video! It really helped to clear up some misconceptions I had about how a fly back converter works. I love all the videos you have devoted to talking about SMPS, as it has greatly increased my understanding of how they work and how to troubleshoot. All the best to you and take care!

I wound a transformer for my 12V to 300V flyback but I wound the primary and secondary in the same direction.
The start of the primary winding is connected to the 12V input. On the secondary side the start of winding is connected to ground.
It seems to work fine but is this wrong?

    • @HaseebElectronics

yes it is also good. actually it needs keep secondary, during conduction of the switching device.
so your method is also perfect. in this way it will work normally

Flyback, the stored magnetic field in the transformer is used. The transformer is used as an Enery Storage.
Forward, the stored magnetic field in the transformer is a problem (resetting required). The transformer is used as Energy transfer.

Excellent. So, I can understand why one might use a flyback, when the supply source is already DC (portable battery device) and the circuit requires AC. What are the circumstances where an AC supply is rectified to DC and a flyback is used to change it back to AC, as in your example? What are the advantages of doing so? Please and thank you.

I have designed 12W constant current flyback converter, with 12.5V/ 850mA output. (PWM IC with Fixed frequency 65kHz.)
Issue is, schottky diode UF5408 is getting heated upto 85°C & checked on oscilloscope the actual frequency is 39kHz (at MOSFET gate, +duty is 15% & -duty is 85%, where as at transformr output +duty is 60% & -duty is 40% )
    What must be the problem.??

    • @HaseebElectronics
      @HaseebElectronics  Рік тому +2

@@jacksonv1ll836 if BC reading is higher, then the transistor is considered as bad transistor
for more surety we can test it with transistor tester for testing the gain
if the gain is lowered than it must be replaced

then the collector current will decrease. thus it's gain will low

The name comes from cathode ray tube television deflection output transformer.. Horizontal deflection work similarly; switch turns on in sync with video and current starts to rise in deflection magnetics; after linearish horizontal sweep energy is stored in deflection magnetics. Then switch opens and deflection circuit oscillates through flyback diode with flyback capacitor to get the crt electron beam 'FLY' back to zero very fast. The energy of collapsing magnetic field is transferred to eg. deflection output transformer high voltage coil among other coils..then the cycle starts over to draw the next line alla the time initiated by video sync circuit.. The name is inherited there!
