The Browns knew Myles wanted out for a while. They asked him to wait until this Monday because the auto-renewal for season ticket holders happened over the weekend.

Raiders can't give up the draft capital it would take to get Garrett when they still need a QB1
If you don’t believe in the top 2 QBs in this draft, then you don’t need to save the draft picks. Can always sign Russel Wilson or darnold to a 1 year deal and draft a QB next year
Raiders just don’t feel realistic for Garrett. Dude wants a contender.

Since they have 12 picks, 5 top 100 in this draft, with it also being a weak QB class I think it would make the most sense to take his replacement at 2 with Abdul Carters, but stand firm, and make him prove he's going hold out then trade him before the deadline to maximize draft capital in a better QB draft and the year following to build around him.
Or a QB IN NEXT YEARS DRAFT

Take Carter now to replace him, trade him for '26 and '27 1sts(as a Commanders fan I'd be fine with 2 1st and 3rds) to have the most draft capital (along with putting the worst team possible on the field this year) to ensure they are at the top of a better QB draft or have the picks to trade to get there(can't trade this year's picks to help them move in next year's draft)
As a Browns fan... I cannot stand watching us continue to waste talent. It hurts every time.
Every team except 3 have wasted talent over the past 7yrs. There's an illusion that if you made the playoffs 5 straight years that's any different then Cleveland. Only 1 team a year doesnt waste their talent.

IF you're saying with a straight face that an organization is wasting talent if they don't win the SB every year then thats just plain lazy analysis and thought process. You build up to a championship team nor championship in general.

Bottom line, Browns have taken 10-15steps forward , starting with drafting Myles Garrett, to go 45 steps backward when they started with trading for Dashon Watson. As the browns fan said, they are wasting talent because they have a top 5-10 roster but no QB and in salary cap hell.
@Slimkidd730 the browns made the playoffs 2 of the last 5yrs and the 3yrs they didnt their starting QB was hurt more then half the year. How does the Bengals do when Burrow is out? What about the Bills without Allen? Chiefs without Mahomes? That's not wating talent. I dont know how much you know about Browns fans but until recently they saw the playoffs once since the return so even our playoff seasons they doom spiral and act like we are 0-16 and should trade every star so they can win somewhere else. Im not joking the fans have said trade chubb and Garrett since covid started saying they deserve better then cleveland. First thing they said after both playoff losses.
I said 3 teams over 7yrs because thats the amount of SB winners. Chiefs, Eagles, and the Rams. Thats the last 6 SB winners plus this years winner.
Then I said 1 team a year because that's the SB winner.
And Im not in the minority or majority... Im not in the dark thinking my team isnt wasting their talent not getting over the hump. A 16-1 team losing in the 2nd round wasted their season as much of their season as a 1-16 team... and the 16-1 team is worse. To be that bad you just didnt have the pieces and you use that season to learn a lot about players on your team. If they stay motivated and play great on a bad team while trying to keep the spirits up thats a guy to lock down. On a 16-1 season team losing after being so dominant shows the team has major flaws you have to find while figuring out how to fix them without making your team miss the playoffs again being a SB favorite. Those teams often struggle the next season. So wastes multiple seasons.

Vikings need to sign/trade Darnold and draft compensation for Garrett. It gives the Browns a qb and they can still draft Abdul Carter 2nd overall. Plus the Vikings have a lot of cap space
They won't trade for Darnold MAYBE JJ and a couple 1sts. But not Darnold. He's not anywhere on the level of Garrett and they can get a Darnold via UFA.

The Vikings could franchise tag, preventing them from signing him in free agency.
And McCarthy was graded higher last year than the qb’s in this year’s draft, and qb’s at the very top typically can get 3-1st round picks. A team isn’t going to give that for Garrett.
@@JakeHamm-nc7xk yeah it would be like a 1st, jj, and a 4th. And I meant Darnold type in UFA not Darnold they will go for Cousins he play for Stefanski before. And JJ has never played an NFL game and already has an injury history. His grade last year doesnt matter it just makes him older. Is there an outside chance they'd think about Darnold as a UFA sure if he's cheap but 0 chance for their best player in 25yrs over better picks and players from other teams.

I personally want MG in Detroit. But if I were the Browns I'd most likely be happy for Minnesota to give me JJ McCarthy and a 1st round pick.

I think it would be crazy to trade two 1st round picks AND then pay him 5 years $30,000,000 per year. that's gonna set a team back a lot. if myles wants to win, he's gonna have to make sure this isn't the scenario that goes down imo
Lol every fan base thinks they got a shot at Garrett. There are 6-8 legitimate Super Bowl contenders and half of those have a need that make it worth giving up the draft capital with a new contract. It’s not that hard to figure out who the real players should be.
He knows he wants to play with JD5. Come ring hunt here in Washington

Myles isn’t going anywhere. The Browns made it clear they don’t and will not trade him.
The dead cap hit is crippling too. They have 2 years on the current contract and can franchise him until he's 34-35 so this is the card Myles has to play to get a giant new contract. He's not going anywhere unless someone comes in with an insane offer.
All teams say that. Pat Riley said he wasn't trading Jimmy Butler, look how it played out. TIs over, Myles Garrett is a franchise player, top 10 player in the NFL, and he wants out. TEams are going to offer fair and equal compensation where Browns can reload their team in 2-3 years which is his entire point.
He doesn't want to wait for that. Trade him, move on, and build your roster and hope you get the QB position. Baker Mayfield ballin with the Bucs makes the Browns organization look even worse.
@@billramey5994 THey can't franchise tag him because their cap is horrendous. It doesn't have to be an insane offer, just a fair one. EVerybody knows its going to cost two 1st rounders. Teams are willing to pay that, this isn't a complex deal to make I mean, its Myles Garrett, top 10 pass rusher ALL TIME in the making.
