- Assalam O Alaikum Viewers. Toyota is gearing up to launch locally assembled variant of Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid in Pakistan. Corolla Cross Hybrid is a crossover launched by Toyota back in 2021. Back in 2021 we reviewed it's top of the line imported variant that was officially launched by Toyota Indus. In today's video, we will discuss how will it impact the market, how much will it be priced and how much features Toyota can omit from it before it becomes another featureless expensive car like Honda HRV.
Corolla Cross is based on 12th Generation Corolla GA-C Platform and Corolla Cross is placed between Toyota CH-R and Toyota RAV4.

Great analysis specially the mindset point. Some clarification though, Toyota corolla Indus 2001 tak ay thi 2002 me 9th gen corolla agae thi.

Haval is the first assembler to introduce locally assembled hybrid in pakistan.
Corolla indus came till 2001.
Pakistan doesn't has high sales figures, International prices don't let you bring in new models.
India is still producing GM6 because the same car is being exported to GCC countries from India.
Honda only skipped 8th Generation Civics facelift and first time ever brought City old generation but still came with a Facelift.
Skipping generations isn't a very big problem when your countries affordability is messed up.
Toyota being able to offer Corolla for its price is because it's ROI is stretched more then it's time line.
Else it would be costing you similar to Civics price.
The market doesn't works with your liking. Theirs a whole lot economics RND behind their decisions.
They know better they have lost sales if they didn't launch a newer model.
Anyone can facelift a 2014 Corolla to 2023. Why would they want to lower their sales.
1. Haval is actually first company to bring hev that's true.
2. Pakistan does have high sale figures. Take out last fiscal years performance (due to instable government), and you will find out.
3. Honda never gave 8th generation civic a facelift internationally but Honda gave 9th gen a facelift internationally which was not introduced in Pakistan, 10th generation was also given a proper facelift with different bumpers which was not introduced in Pakistan.
4. Honda kept old generation city in production for more than 10 years so don't try to justify it when back in 2014 they could have launched new generation and sorry there was no economic instability back then.
5. New generation of corolla should have been launched in 2020 and then it would have costed the same as it does now.
6. Civic was overpriced when it launched so was city even when compared to international pricing ( which is already one generation behind).
7. The market is what you make of it in Pakistan or else people wouldn't be buying 30 year old suzuki mehran. That's why mindset point was discussed.
Other than this, I really appreciate your analysis and your viewpoints. Everyone has their own opinions, but one should never justify wrong doing of these companies.

Hyundai Elentra and Tucson are both old generations being produced in Pakistan. Kindly update yourself. The 7th generation of elantra was launched in 2020 while we are still getting 6th generation. Same is the case with Hyundai Tucson and KIA sportage ( new generation launched in 2021)

KIA sorento or KIA picanto bhi purani generations hain jis tarha honda city 10 saal chalti rahi purani generation or abhi bhi purani launch hui hai.
