  • Join us for a laid-back jam session with Jan Six & Marco-Christian Krenn, as we navigate the shift from design tokens to a graph-powered color generation system at Tokens Studio. We're digging into our design system, exploring the nifty Node Editor, and revealing the process behind our innovative transformation.
Get a closer look at our Graph Engine here: tokens.studio/tools/resolvers
In this live stream, we're casually walking through our journey, showing how a resolver-based solution can redefine color scales in design systems.

Good to see that it's node-based. I love the node-based approach in general and hope you take inspiration from software like Houdini, Unreal's Blueprint, Origami, Blender, Substance Designer, etc. etc.

Love this kind of video!! Gives a lot if interesting little insights. I would love a way, think you slightly highlighted it here, to generate a scale with the leonardo api. Inputs would be an array of color keys and contrast ratios. Maybe this will be something I work on when you open up building nodes but would be nice to put in a few colours (very often brands have maybe a primary blue and maybe a darker/ lighter version so could put them all in a single blue palette and go from there).

already on the list :) we just want something that is really robust, but it will come

is this a planing / visualisation tool ? or does it output something which can be used somewhere ?

The graph resolver outputs a JSON file which can be executed to obtain the values inside

Is there a way to hide output handles that aren't used for huge sets?

Do i understand correctly when dropping a set in and you only connected 10 out of 100 values you want to collapse the node to only show the used ones?

@@marcochristiankrenn Yeah I notice a lot of the time I don't use all the tokens , but the set makes the node huge
