I think it would be great to have some intro series on ancient Chinese gods (mentioned in the video) as well as the video's traditional architecture techniques
Chinese people has no religion believes. However they symbolically worship their pass ancestors in gratitude for their previous contribution or anyone with great deeds in the past.
That was so cool! Please more architecture and also like someone else said a series on Chinese gods and if they're still considered today for anything. That's a shame about unesco not really getting back to them :/
Just visited it last week. The sad part is that the clock is ticking for it. About 100 years ago it was damaged during a maintaince by some idiots. Since then it's leaning toward one side and it is obvious even by looking at it. Now the experts also have no clear plans of how to repair it because any redistribution of the forces may actually accelarate its callapse. If you want to visit it, DO IT NOW.
Why limit construction materials to traditional ones when even combat aircraft can be made from wood? Architecture and other creations could benefit from exploring alternative materials.
This wooden pagoda was in the popular Chinese game 'Black Myth Wukong'.
someone mentioned a series on chinese gods/mythology and i second that!
Amazing!

Red Sandalwood
应县木塔有钉子的,传统的木钉用来加固
Actually it wasn't all-wood when it was built in the Liao dynasty, a monk in the ROC period replaced all parts with wood

The old school way of building is not to be scoffed at.
Fascinating. The Buddha must have frightened away the termites -- and probably also the British arsonists (who burned down the Summer Palace).
"What is the secret of ancient Chinese wooden architecture?"
"We used wood from the tree"

I actually think the Germans tried to use wood in their stealth tech plane design (it research didn't finish before WW2 ended)

Tang dynasty influenced to Korea and Japan was popular in those years, including bonsai and origami.

佩服与赞叹古时候的工匠精神(三族消消乐警告!),与现代无良房地产的豆腐渣工程。(假装选择性看不见或无视或人民承担一切责任😅)
