- Exploring the river bank on both sides of the historic north end of Wheeling Island in Wheeling, WV. This video has a great view of the rarely seen back channel too; Especially by air! This was filmed using "Ole Reliable", my nearly 6 year old Phantom 3 Advanced! I would love to buy a Mavic Air 2 sometime and make 4K 60fps videos but this old drone just keeps on a flyin'.......
All music in this video was written and produced by me (Tim Dalek) using the Digital Audio Workstation Ableton Live and various cool VST instruments. Enjoy!
Lived on the island.
i grew up on the island, the north point had another island near it, before they raised the water level when the damn was installed. It was awesome their were ropes to swing off of between the lsland's and it was deep enough you didn't touch. the island was a great place to grow up, you knew everyone, doors didn't have to be locked, it was really a good time to live there.
Cool video lived on the island for 5 years in the mid 70's but grew up in south wheeling go hornets we were undefeated my nineth grade year.
Do more of the island mostly front st

This gotta be the most depressing place in america... I stayed here once as a resting place during my roadtrip and holy shit is it depressing.
Apparently you've never been to Baltimore or Detroit. Hahahaha. It's a quiet place, low stress, slow pace, lowest crime rate in the North-East. Lots of history here. Great place for biking, hiking, camping, fishing and enjoying nature if you like that kinda thing. (I do) Sorry you didn't like the Wheeling area. The Island is not the best place to stay here for sure. What was it exactly that made it the MOST depressing place in America for you? Unless you lost bigtime at the casino.. That's pretty depressing. I've been all over the USA and prefer the laid back vibe, low stress, low crime, super cheap cost of living here. The job market is pretty depressed here but the Pittsburgh area is a short commute if you want a big city job and big city action.
