I'm with ya man, Lead Sails paper Anchors is easily my fav album from them. All these haters out here can't handle when a band changes it up after doing the same thing for 20+ years. God forbid a lead singer wants to.....wait for it....sing a melody and not scream their face off for 95% of a song. You hear the same complaints for newer Underoath.
I've said it many times before but When Two Are One is one of the best songs ever made. It was way before its time and still feels that way some how.

Mine and my nephews song.
My nephew has cerebral palsy and epilepsy - at the time I wasn’t allowed to see him due to a family row. A year or so later I was diagnosed with heart failure whilst pregnant and had to spend 4 months in hospital whist preparing for open heart surgery. In that time me and my sister-in-law reconciled and she sent me this song to remind me I was strong like my nephew.
Thank you for this song - it’s the only one I go to when I feel weak. Means the world to me

Same here! Of course old atreyu with Alex will always be the best, but I love this song. For some reason it just makes me not want to give up on myself. Stand up strong and keep my head held high. I get people want Alex, but no reason to hate the song.

Been having a rough time lately. Relapsed and started using my poison again because of all my depression and stress. Was clean 2 years. I only used once and haven't agian and that was a month ago. But I'm still extremely embarrassed about it. I'm stronger then that I know I am. This song is my new poison. I wake up and blast it all the way to work every morning to remind me that. I AM A WARRIOR! I am stronger then any demon that trys to drag me down. What doesn't kill me makes me stronger! This life has dragged me to the point of wanting to give up. But I'm still here. Still haven’t accepted that this is the atreyu sound going forward, but I get that they’re tryna attract new fans and since metalcore isn’t much of a thing anymore- I suppose Warrior would be a good song for non metal fans to like and discover them. But for me personally, not my cup of tea. The band is better with Alex in it IMO

@@EmoCowboy. I’m sure he helped, he was still in the band. Obviously he didn’t like the direction the rest of the band wanted to go. Hence the split. He was probably calling it fake heavy while they were writing it.

This might sound dumb, but this song seriously saved me. I caught rsv from a coworker around the beginning of July. Then my wife, of 5 years, and love of my life for 13 years, said she wasn’t in love with me anymore on the 4th of July, and officially left me, taking both of our children to an entirely different state at the end of July. Leaving me with a pile of bills, I was behind due to being sick previously.. almost caught up the bills, then I caught the Delta strand of Covid, and at first wasn’t really affected, but then 3 days in a row, I thought I was having my final moments, and all I could do was think of every reason she could’ve possibly left me, and it just made it worse on me. But I found this song shortly after, and.. idk.. it didn’t “fix” me, but damn, it woke me up, if that makes any sense.

I was plowed by a drunk driver on foot going 55 mph and launched 50-75 feet about 9 months ago in someone’s driveway. This happened 4 days after a bodybuilding contest I did. This song was the first thing I remembered and has inspired me to fight for my recovery through the broken legs, TBI, lacerated, kidney, C2 fracture, collapsed lung, artery dissection and the 30-40 total sever medical injuries! 🙏❤️🩹

This video was too long. Halfway through it, I got hungry so I left it playing and went to the kitchen to fix my self a sandwich. But then I found out that I'm out of mayonnaise so I went to a store. There, I saw the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my whole life. But I'm really a shy person so I took up a three-year personality development course so I can introduce myself. She was very friendly and all, but unfortunately, she had a boyfriend. So I said, all good, I'm a mature person. I want the best for her and I harbor no illusion that I am the best person for her and she seems happy with her boyfriend, so I did not bother her anymore. But we kept in touch and we became friends and I got over my crush on her. Then she broke up with her boyfriend, we drank some alcohol because of it, I told her she'll be fine and I wished her well. I still think she's the most beautiful woman in the world, but like I said, I am over my crush on her. It was like five years already when I first saw her. Besides, I am quiet happy with the friendship I developed with her. It was more important than a crush. So we kept hanging out, drinking, having coffee, and all. I had a girlfriend, she started dating other guys. My girlfriend wants to live some other life without me in it, so I said, "Okay, I want the best for you and I want you to pursue your happiness." My lady friend and I drank alcohol about it, and she gave me the same advice I gave her when she was in that position and I became okay with the breakup immediately. But we were really drunk, so she spent the night in my apartment. I only have one bed, so you know what that means: She took the bed and I slept on the couch. But on the couch, I really can't sleep. Something was bothering me. So I tossed and turned for about three hours, then I finally can't take it anymore, I stood up and went straight to my room where she's sleeping. I approached the bed, gently sat on it and I reached for her shoulder to pull her closer to me. She stirred and woke up. She asked what's up. I told her, "you know, the first time I saw you, I was watching a video and left it playing to get myself a sandwich then went to the store to get some mayo then I got so distracted by life that I forgot to finish the video." She said, "You know what, I've been wondering about a weird noise in your night drawer." So we opened that drawer, and lo and behold, there's my phone and this video still has two minutes of play time on it.
I'm currently fighting breast cancer, and took on a warrior mentality, heard this song on the radio last night, it's now my theme song ❤️ love it, it's perfect for my fight ❤️
