The good old days before the original St. John Vianny church had burned in Hacienda Heights... The organ was just gorgoeus and the church further more. I miss it😖😓
Thank you! Indeed, it is a wonderful instrument, and everything went well in the "Easter marathon" through which every organist has to go! Best regards from your friend Cristiano Rizzotto.
Best regards, CRISTIANO RIZZOTTO
I'm traslating Heidegger's works with such a beatiful playing of Buxtehude and it's wonderful...Heidegger becomes more easy to me...thank you a lot....
Thank you for the advice, dear Geuros. My organ professor was always very insistent on constantly slowing me down there. I play it a little faster at my other recording of this piece, at National City Christian Church (September 2012), also available on UA-cam.
technicaly difficult and well played but without without passion. The articulation don't reflect the gigantic expression power of this piece that should be at some place a real fire work, playing with different sounds plans and taking us where we don’t expect too. I don’t understand what’s happening at 4’00 but going better at 5’00. I know, the acoustic is terribly dry and much smaller instrument should do much better with an appropriate acoustic but I miss some verve.
well, good, but too slow and too little of articulation. It's a festive piece it should dance e.g. the part you enter at 0:54, it should be 2 times faster ;)

In winter to hear Buxtehude play?
