More Americans leaving the US amid cost of living, rising political divisiveness

- Politics and cost of living are pushing Americans on both sides of the aisle to pack their bags. International Living reported a 1000% increase in web traffic after Roe Versus Wade was overturned. Meanwhile, the 2016 election of Donald Trump, George Floyd Protests and the COVID-19 Pandemic all significantly drove up clicks for “Where Can I Live?” a consulting business for people who need help with the logistics of moving to another country.

I'm trying very hard to leave. I'll still visit my mom and my pets but to live here every day in this workaholic, self-absorbed, materialistic, isolated country is something I can't do anymore. I'm depressed, I'm anxious, I'm endlessly stressed, and I can't take it anymore.
Don’t blame ya at all! I have the same attitude with you towards this country! It’s getting a lot more difficult to keep up with ends meet here!
My best friend moved to Singapore in 1998. In 2020 he renounced his United States citizenship! And his life is a lot better than mine! All you have to do is take the leap of faith like my best friend did in the early 90s
It's okay if your Bill Gates, or young and up-coming Pro-Athlete that just signed a $100,00,000 contract to toss around a ball, a Rich Rock Star, Powerful Politicians putting all those illegals in luxury hotels while our own citizens and veterans that fought for this country are freezing out on the streets, a high-powered CEO outsourcing both American and Canadian jobs overseas, and on and on. Yeah, I know what ya mean!

The crazy thing is, when I visited Norway last year I felt like my body, mind and soul were at utter peace and never felt lethargic, but as soon as I landed back in the US I started to feel out of place and I was in an incredibly bad mood. I took that as a sign that maybe it’s time to move abroad 🙏🏻
I also felt that way, but sometimes we feel like that because we dont know the challenges or problems of another country until you take up residence there. That being said I still dont want to live here anymore uaha
@@bosskanova685 I totally agree with you, my friend! And although I’ve been seeing lots of opportunities to teach English in Japan, I’m taking that as a sign as well but when it comes to Japan I have to do extra research. All the best in your journey 😎
That is how everyone feels, I even feel that way when I travel to a different state. It’s because we are curious and always searching for something more. When I went to Europe I felt very happy, very at peace, and when I came back I felt a bit sadder.
@@Valhalla_Heathen yeah, I also wanted to do that, but upon further research it might not be all that great. They will tell you where to go, they can send you to some extremely isolated Japanese village or something haha. Cost of living in America is unbearable
Staying in a slum room. Getting more broke daily. Giant cut in food stamps, and social services advising me to beg at churches. Life in hell.
It is in NYC
I've been Wondering for a While how Much MORE Landlords in the USA will be allowed by Government to Raise the Rent for every month?? I am guessing their Goal is $25,000 - $36,000 for every month of lease/contract; and Don't Expect that to Give You a Decent Place to Live either!!! Apparently in the USA, the Government Can tell You how to Raise your kids that You Gave Birth with LABOR PAIN, and Came Out of your flesh; but They CANNOT Touch Landlords who decided for themselves to ENSLAVE the AMERICAN POPULATION to Work just for THEM. You cannot even Airbnb in AMERICA anymore; because the Americans who Own Airbnb are treating it like they OWN your Bank Account and Are Charging $3,600 - $25,000 per month of Stay at One of their properties.

I'd be too scared to go to the US. Just seems to violent and on the cusp of getting nuked. I think your leadership provokes wars for money and the world is tiring of it. Going toe to toe with Russia on Ukraine soil is a pointless war because both Europe and Russia want Ukraine as a neutral country. And it was actually in a potentially strong position economically with trade and industry potentials now countries are turning away from fueling China's strength ..well except for the Bidens, and US elites whi cant say no to easy Chinese money. . I knew something was wrong when I earned a STEM college degree on scholarship (the only way an everyman can afford an education in this forsaken country,) no student debt, and was working over 100hrs per week and a good-paying job, yet couldn't afford a mortgage/rent payment and still had to live with my parents despite saving every dime I had and not spending on anything luxurious or frivolous.
My generation literally cannot afford to exist. I'm sure older generations will scoff and say "you deserved it," and looking at the idiocy of some of us they're probably right, but at the same time we're gonna have to go somewhere and do something. this can't go on.

You’re working over 100 hours a week in STEM with no debt and minimal spending and not covering rent that’s just a flat-out lie lol
@@Clowncentral101 I’m not. I’m a wastewater plant operator (trying to get into the environmental lab as a chemist that will pay more)
Even if I work 3 12 hour days of overtime per week (which I usually do as we are short handed) I am _still short on rent; the lowest rent around is nearly $2000, for a dinky little rattrap apartment that doesn’t include utilities.
There are some quote-unquote “affordable housing” options in the slums of town, but I don’t qualify for any of them because I purportedly make too much money. They’re exclusively for poor people (it’s by design, to prevent the poor from making any headway either.)
The taxation is so high that my total income is unable to exceed the Rent on most days. Mortgages cost even more.
I wish it WAS a lie, but that’s the reality we now live in. Our government has the audacity to claim it’s “housing programs are underfunded” when they’re taking nearly a 1/3rd or sometimes up to half your total income. Yet they provide no help to people trying to do the right thing and save up money….
@@saucyruben that is the real reason. People will blame the economy, when in reality it's there spending habits.
I left the USA. Being a Latino and a Marine Veteran, I got no opportunities in SC, GA, and NC area. I was discriminated against many times when trying to buy a home, and the immigration process to bring my wife from Taiwan was too expensive and time-consuming. On top of that rent and the price of living for a Veteran with VA compensation is too high. We had no money left over. A stomach virus cost us $10,000. We realized we would die early if we stayed in the USA. To make things worse, we lived in a very racist area where Dixie flags flew on almost every house, and none of our neighbors were friendly.
So we decided to move to Taiwan. We now live very well and comfortably. I don't miss the USA one bit.

So, I went back and kicked ass for 3 years. Then worked my up to higher job titles and salaries. All the while saving to have a sense of security. NOW I can leave the USA. Looking back, I feel that leaving this country was the plan ever since I was in my teens. I just didn't know it then. Yes, I get offended when people say "I have a dream but can't act on it." Americans living abroad need to *respect* those other countries and not ruin them with all of the awful traits and behaviors that are disastrously ruining this country, oh lord… Very hard to see that happening, sadly…

Are there not policies in place capping the number of visas for certain countries? Can it not take decades for a sponsored applicant to receive a decision? So many reasons, I could go on. Please do not play dumb as to why Americans have a far easier time migrating to other people's countries or why other people have to resort to desperate measures. It's trite.

It s gotten to where you fork over 1/3rd of your total income (or sometimes, half) and pay huge taxes on every conceivable thing. They even tax stuff you already bought, paid taxes on, and pass on to your offspring AGAIN when you die (inheritance tax)
All that money and when you try to utilize Government services they aren’t even free, there’s always a fee (stamps, driver license renewals, etc.)
On *top of all* that, the government claims to be *UNDERFUNDED* in it’s affordable housing programs, which suspiciously no one can ever seem to qualify for unless they basically don’t work at all.
It’s disgusting. You just can’t make it here unless you’re part of the 1%.

1) Scant regards for Humanity. I doubt if there's any Humanity left in the country. This has led to break down of family and the society.

I hope someone at the conference explained to the attendees that as long as they are American citizens, regardless of where in the world they live, they are required to pay US Federal taxes on all income. Income earned outside the US may, or may not, be taxable by the US. The only way to avoid US taxes is to renounce your citizenship. Doing so requires a great deal of paperwork and is definitely not cheap.
They are taxed on all income in the household, even that of non-Americans but there is a $72,000 threshold under which is not taxed. The US still has total control of ex-pats however so many just go underground. Income requirements for living in a better quality of life countries is much lower except in Europe. Scandinavia and Europe are both declining badly and the cost of living is driving many locals out, just like in the US. Jumping from the very high cost of living/low quality of life society(USA) to a region that is declining rapidly and just as the over-regulated region is not gaining the freedom it might have 20 years ago.
Renouncing citizenship is a good idea if someone has all the documents require before leaving but a pain from a remote country.
I pay taxes in both the US and Spain. It's worth it.
We know this. Duh. And we’re still not coming back
Not necessarily required to PAY; required to FILE. Those are different things.
Not if you create your own income and build your own house i.e. an airbnb where you don't have to pay monthly mortgage just taxes from the country you reside in. I'm almost halfway there no employment in the US I'm so excited to not file taxes and have them rob me!

America as we know it is finished. All indications point to 2023 being a year of severe economic pain across the country. Put that money to work right away to make it grow. More than 9 million of us live abroad. I've lived in Southeast Asia (Thailand, Laos and Cambodia) for 10 years and now retired here. Living with mass murders, inequality, low quality of life, high cost of living, concerns for the safety and lives of children, overt and rampant hatred, lack of separation of church and state, intolerance of difference, homelessness, impossibility of healthcare costs, and so much more when the opposite is available at lower cost doesn't make sense to me. It's hard for me to wrap my head around why people (especially seniors) would continue to live in the United States if they have or can create an income of at least $1,000 a month and can have new adventures, survive, and thrive rather than live with the traumas of living in the US.
If anything, it's the secularism of separation of church and state that have helped make America a craphole.

The question is what kind of people are leaving America. There are a bunch of Americans coming to Portugal because it is dirt cheap compared to their country. They usually come here to enjoy their retirement while everything gets more expensive for the Portuguese people.

FOOL ME ONCE...
Technically speaking it will be hard for americans to leave.
Since their educational system continue to lower the threshold of their education, at the end of their school career they will probably not have the same skills of others around the world.
That's will explain why Chinese are often seen as "genius" or why America is continuosly hiring scientists from the whole world.
Problem for the americans that wants to move is that they will face an harsh competition for jobs elsewhere, and so being not able to achieve economic support once they have left.
Without economic support, most of the countries around the world, and in particular those northern european countries that have little to no care about social welfare, will force people to return from where they come.
Here in Italy we welcome a lot of people and jobs do not require often high skills, but I doubt that an American will ever move here just to work 20-30 years more in a factory.
We also have social welfare and pretty much everything is covered, except for some rights to homosexuals that is still an hard obstacle to cross (far right here still have its popular support, so they still have the means to oppose to some reforms), but apart from that, we are pretty nice. There are both public and private healthcare hospitals and clinic (Italy have the second best healthcare system in the world second only to France), schools are free for the students (althought there are some expanses to pay for the parents)(moreover our educational system is one of the oldest in the world), there's a good cover for all the religions possibles (we have churches for all types of christians, temples for the jews and even mosques for muslims, all lives quite peacefully togheter with just few rare incidents).
Right now we have the problem of welcoming more migrants from North Africa, Middle Orient and Centra Asia, plus there are still fluxes of migrants from Ukraine. But if EU drops the money, we will be perfectly fine in taking care of them.
Our public transport system seems to have become one of the best in Europe, and we also have a medium-size but really effective and high-tech armed forces that guards and protect the whole Europe.
Unfortunately the real problem of Italy is exactly the most important one: we dont have enough jobs to offer.
That's why almost half of our youngs moves to other countries in search of job.
Its sad, but almost all of them are specialized workers.
Medics, surgeons, lawyers, engineers, etc... Our diaspora never truly ended.
And of course we have a lot of americans too, part of them are members of the armed forces deployed here in Italy as cooperators inside NATO plans, the other part is made out of youtubers and similar stuff of jobs that makes reviews of the country.
There are also a small minority of people (not only americans) that are in cultural jobs. Like archeologists, historicians, etc. Its a huge market that. Italy have the biggest cultural heritage in the world so there's plenty of room for workers to work here for these reasons.
Last but not least: research&develop, we have few but peculiar fields of interests about R&D that involves stuff like food to nanotechnology.
Italy for example is top notch for what concerns high-tech medicine, not only we produce various meds, but we have developed the first surgeon robots and the first hand prosthetic in the world.
Every day our medics try something new.
Just the other day there was an interesting surgey operation that saw the reviving of an human heart transplanted on in a person in need.
The heart transplanted was revived after more than half of hour since the doner death.
This will increase our basin of resources to transplant in people in need of about 30%.
You see? If you want to move in a specific country, its better if you research what current economic situation there is there and then try to specialize in one of the fields of interests. So when you move in you can surely find a job that will grant you a permanent residence.
Then after 3 to 5 years depending on the country, you can also get the citizenship and all your problems about remaining in that country will be solved.
But, again, remember that doesnt exist a perfect place where to live and sometimes you just need to work hard just to build your own paradise.
So, good luck.
It's been seven years now and honestly it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. It's about going where you are treated best and can live the rest of your life on your terms. I retired from my job in the US in April 2021 left the US in January 2022 and now living a laid-back stress-free life in a quiet province in the Philippines. Cost of living especially healthcare is so much cheaper here. There are trade-offs but nothing Earth shaking.
🥳🎊🙌 What are the trade-offs? Just curious, thanks.
@@sweetsimpleslowlife2709 One trade-offs is the government here loves to complicate relatively simple tasks such as automobile registration, visa renewal along with normally mundane tasks to the point of frustration. Things that normally take an hour or so in the US can have you waiting in line all day. Another big frustration is the lack of customer service training in brick-and-mortar stores. Employees can be just plain rude and inconsiderate, but the locals are used to it and don't seem to mind. These are my biggest pet peeves.
@@sweetsimpleslowlife2709 Other countries have different cultures and different values so you have to both be adaptable and willing to recognize and accept the differences. She's considered rich because her dad was the first person in their village to have power. She doesn't live in a shack either but a big house in a gated courtyard..
The bit I like is cost.
My Dad sent me pics and video of the 4 star hotel he was in and only cost him under $200 a night. This place was NICE.
He shows pictures of the hospitals he goes to which are up-to-date with current technology. The waiting areas even had zen gardens to help you relax. Paying for the doctor and x-rays up front cost $75.
Oh, he says packaging there is different. Things are in plastic bags. There's a hospital down the road from the village where he lives and was showing me his cheap medication that was given to him in a plastic baggy.
I've been telling my friends that this was going to happen. I said people who are able to leave are increasingly going to start looking for a better place to live, but I mainly tied it to the violence. Life in America is crazy right now but most people are not getting the picture yet. In the next 10 to 20 years, the violence and craziness will be so bad that everybody will have gotten the picture. You took the words right out of my mouth! My sentiments exactly! I've been warning my family that it is only going to get worse. I feel sorry for America.
If you want to know how many people are living abroad, don't ask the State Department, ask the IRS. The IRS requires Americans living abroad to file taxes every year. Taxes in the USA are based on citizenship not residency. The USA is one of only two countries that taxes this way. (The other country is Eritrea.
That's if a US American makes over $104K USD annually. Many people don't file and lots of Countries don't participate in the FBAR and FATCA. Out of 197 Countries, only 111 participates.
There are loopholes and people take advantage of them. Or one could just renounce US Citizenship. After age 55, if another Citizenship is obtained, one isn't missing much from the US. So it's won and done.
@@youtubeuserzzzz Renouncing U.S. citizenship costs $2350, which more and more U.S. expats are paying each year.
Another good source is to research the Social Security Admin. because many (if not most) expats receive their SS checks in foreign banks (like me in Ecuador).
Most Americans working outside the US do not report their income. Banks are required to report all activity of Americans in other countries but so many live on local accounts plus cash. Many banks in other countries do not allow Americans to open accounts because the US demands intrusive reporting that is only demanded by the US. Besides, if one pays taxes to the country in which they live, those taxes are not allowed to be written off, since no deductables are recognized by the IRS for deductions the worker could take if employeed in the US. In a high tax country like EU, it is perfectly possible if following the law in the US to have a US tax bill larger than gross income. If the tax rate in Germany is 50% and he has a German living in girlfriend who makes 50,000 euros a year, he is taxes on his gross income PLUS hers so he will owe more in taxes than gross income. It is best to cut all ties with the US if you want a good life in a sane country(Germany is NOT a sane country however, their are losing all their industries following orders from the US). These are things that turn most ex-pats into haters of the US government. Only two countries do not allow deductions from taxes bases on taxes paid to the country of residence. They even upped the cost per person who renounces citizenship, it used to be $500 but now is nearly $4000 to even apply without being assured that it is accepted. So a family of 4 needs $1600 just to have the IRS stop hounding them in other countries.

There are a number of comments referring to liberals AND conservatives leaving to live abroad. I’m an American expat living in Thailand and my experience is that there are liberals and conservative expats here but we are friends and get along just fine. We all appreciate putting 1,000’s of miles between us and any talk of politics and social issues in the US. As foreigners we have more in common and more interesting things to talk about. It turns out they are all interesting people and I love the opportunity to meet Americans and other foreigners that I ever would have met in America.
The political polarization in America is stoked by the news ecosystems (and that gets further perpetuated through social media). It is purposeful on the part of the people in power in the US--by getting average citizens to focus on the citizens "on the other political side" as their enemy, you prevent the citizens from banning together to critique/disrupt power. But Americans' own "sports team" mentality toward politics is to blame too. America is the only country where people literally deck their yards, houses, cars, etc., out as shrines to a political candidate. It's too cringe. Nobody in Europe would ever do that. It's shocking whenever I come back to America and see all the political campaign commercials and billboard and all the yard signs around neighborhoods. It makes it so you literally can't put politics aside and see your neighbor as "a person" rather than a political enemy.
Conservatives and Liberals used to be able to disagree and find common ground but the extremists have overtaken both parties. American Dream cause you gotta be dead or asleep to believe it
More people are leaving Canada like never before. We sold everything we owned packed up 3 suitcases and our 13 year old Maltese hopped on a plane to Cancun and never looked back. Its booming here in the Yucatan Mexico. Best of luck to anyone reading this, we wish you all the best. ✌🏽✌🏽🥰🥰
Too hot for me.
@@plainman9887 Merida is hot for sure.
We are moving soon to higher altitude here in Mexico. Plenty of places that are cooler. I know San Cristobal Chiapas is way cooler and Xalapa Veracruz. ✌️
Take care friend
Wondering why people are leaving Canada. Can you shed some light on this? Thanks, and best wishes.
@@vivektulja4516 mostly they don't like the dictator rulling the country ✌️
too dangerous
The only reason I want to stay in the US is *because* it's terrible. It will only get worse and worse unless people stand up. That said, not everyone can, and I blame nobody who chooses to leave. Y'all have good reasons to. There is so much wrong with this country, despite what beauty can still be found in the land, itself, if you (can) look for it. I hope it one day won't be a place people flee from. I actually advise my non-American friends not to come here, because I care about them, and know they deserve better than that. I'll defend those who do come here, but it saddens me that they do - though especially when it actually is better for them to live here than in their countries of origin, like Ukraine, Russia, or Syria. America isn't *total* Hell on Earth - refugees come here for a reason - but "not total Hell on Earth" is a pretty low bar.
Immigration is one of the primary reasons we are in this situation. Decades of people coming to the US getting social security from a system they never paid into. Taking affordable housing from people that were born here. Providing corporations with low wage workers and keeping wages low for all by flooding the human capital labor market. Politicians from both parties have supported immigration and now the 1%, corporations, and asset managers have more power than the government and are untouchable.
There's no flash rob in those countries
@@_Rockill_it has nothing to do with immigration and everything to do with capitalism, racism and corporate greed. America also doesn’t care about its citizens. There is no social safety net or free healthcare. US army waged wars in foreign countries but can’t feed the poor.
I moved to Thailand in 2017. I believe you should move to another country because you like that country, not because you want to leave the US. Leaving the US is a side benefit. You should have visited your destination country before for several months. Living in a foreign country is not the same as vacation. You should have traveled enough internationally to be sure you are comfortable with cultural change. It is going to be much easier to retire to a foreign country than it is to go and work except for maybe digital nomads making western dollars.
Even my family members that served in the military are trying to leave the States 😑
That by itself should be a canary in the coal mine!
@@mrconfusion87 yup. And my grandfather and great grandfather were coal miners. They are rolling in their graves
I'm a vet and should've just stayed in Europe
T would imagine it would be good to get away from the insane American gun laws, health system and employment laws.

I just saw your comment I can't believe that so many Americans are moving to other countries your country is the richest country in the world 🌍 but what I see to many shootings every where it's so sad God bless you all from Switzerland where I live in peace 🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇨🇭🇨🇭

Yep, I have several friends who are either at or very near retirement. Of 5, 3 are looking at expat countries. One looking at Portugal, one looking at Thailand and one in Costa Rica. The couple looking in Portugal is on their second visit. They loved it. As for me, I don't know, but America has fallen rapidly. Our political system is broken, and our economy doesn't appear to work for the middle class anymore. Bad situation to find oneself in.
You hit the nail on the head.... "our economy doesn't work for the middleclass." And God forbid you have a child with special needs. Your completely on your own as parents. It is extremely hard raising a child in The US. You can't have a thriving middleclass and good economic growth when parents are struggling just to raise children.
It's what happens when you brainlessly vote for democrats that put these policies in place. Blame yourselves for the mess America is in.
@@rpols22 raising a child is difficult everywhere. Why do you think Europe has such low birth rates, despite all the social programs.
I’ve lived abroad as a teacher for the last 10 years. I’d return home on my company’s dime each summer and the occasional winter/Christmas holiday on my own. I’ve seen young people, including myself meet their spouse and start a family abroad.
Thanks, I been in USA for 40,plus years, this country was the place to live, now too much has deteriorated, but if you leave a simple life, can be manageable, but again I don't blame nobody for leaving the country.
I’m thinking about leaving America too! It’s becoming too expensive and unnecessary to live here anymore!
Well I hear 3rd world countries are really cheap
I left 8 years ago, came back to my homeland Mexico,i was taken to the U.S when i was young i am now 38 and its the best decision I've made, its great getting visits from ny family still living in the U.S and seeing all that ive accomplished in 8 years here in Mexico leaves them in awwww 😮 , its amazing what one can accomplish when you actually have access to government aids like, medical, government loans for business and housing, i own 2 houses and rent one out as Airbnb 😅
I wish you inspire atleast 50% fellow Mexicans in usa
Bcz if Mexicans go back to Mexico from usa even 50%
Usa will rise again
Illegals are the biggest problem
@johnnymichael77 it's definitely not perfect but on the right path if we keep handling our nation's issues ourselves without foreign intervention. Yes this is the most I've been at peace in my life and I would not go back at least to live
Count me in. We're getting outta here too.
I’m leaving the Continental United States. I & my Dog are getting out.
The Cost of living, Tax’s, Health Care Cost is out of Control. I don’t feel safe in the United States anymore.
I couldn’t help but notice the packed room they showed was all Anglo. If my children and grandchildren were not in the states, I would seriously consider leaving. I have tried to get my wife to consider it for six months at a time or longer. But she is still resistant.

The US is not great. It's not exceptional. It's mid, I'd give it a C-. On so many metrics, it is a terrible place to experience being human.
The US is great. That is why millions of immigrants go to the US every year.
I've never felt so alone in my life since my husband divorced me and I stayed for our kids. I'm so glad to renounce and go back to my motherland.
😢😢 not easy
Stay in the U.S. for the education? Why?
Or did you stay so your kids could still see their father? That would make more sense.
@@damac5136 Yeah he wouldn't let me go back home despite the number of school vacation we have. He did everything to ban me from taking them away from him.I would never have deprived my kids from him but he was so paranoid. Today my kids are teens and he barely sees them. They're teens!

Wait. I thought Americans didn't like foreigners.
This would mostly concern Americans who have already spent a lot of time abroad. They also have money. It's not about mouth-breathing Trumpists.
@@yvonneplant9434 We'll see.
Ummm.... I thought it's the other way around, started 2016.
They are hypocrites as an American myself I want to say that I respect other cultures. I'm not the one moving to another country just because times are tough I'm not a weasel I promise.
lol what? why would they move to a different country if they don't like foreigners?
Americans are lucky they can choose countries to flee compared to other nations
They actually can't unless they are wealthy. Countries don't want welfare immigrants.
I program for a living and work from home 100% of the time. If you’re able to work from home, leaving the country just makes sense. You can save so much, learn a new language, etc.
Live mostly abroad these days. Asia is now my home. Just tired of the Kens and Karens.
im 39. im out at 40. im not dying in this country. purda vida here i come
I lived in Costa Rica for a year. Beautiful place
My husband and I bought a house in Costa Rica (5 minute walk to the beach) during the pandemic, could never afford that in the US. Now looking to open up an international market. We don’t live here full time yet, but always dreading having to go back to the states. People are passive, very nice and respectful here. A person can sell everything and can afford a small condo under $200k near the beach. Don’t say you can’t.
Pretty soon it won't be that cheap though. Foreigners raise the cost of housing so that locals can no longer afford to buy. People often don't think of the impact they have on the local economy. Then when these people try to leave to find jobs and housing elsewhere, they are shut out. This is what has happened to so many indigenous people in Guatemala.
People living paycheck to paycheck in the US cannot afford that. I’m over here making my plans to leave anyway. When the lawmakers care more about selling guns than your five year old getting getting slaughtered, it’s time to go.
Me! Got my residency card to France this year. Started the process last fall. When it became more expensive to rent a one bedroom apartment in an unremarkable suburb in Arizona ($1700-$1900) than renting a cute loft in the south of France ($700-$1000), I said okay, welp, it’s time to go! Plus I don’t need a car, plus cheap healthcare, plus better quality food accessibility, plus no gun violence. No contest.
What do you do for work
I live in Thailand. It's been 8 years since I first moved South Korea, and almost 4 years since arriving in Thailand. I love it here and have no intention to move back to the US.

@@ComeBackKid1 That’s not what the comment meant. And that is why people are choosing to leave. Don’t lump all black people together and feign ignorance. This country’s political system is extreme with no end in sight. It’s being exacerbated by our mainstream media, social media, the White House, and our schools.
