We didn’t lose as much with iHart as ppl are making it out to be. All we need is the rim protection and rebounding focus that he had. Randle wasn’t there and he can facilitate all of the high post motion that iHart was initiating.
This is true. They need Randle to play as big as he can this season for them to get over the hump bc they will miss some of IHart’s rebounding, that is pretty tough to replace
Randle needs to be the second option. Him as a second option is not a huge change. To turn him into a lockdown defender takes him too far out of his comfort zone, opposed to Bridges whose comfort zone is lockdown defense
Great Video a couple things idk why Randle has to change so much drastically when he has changed and molded his game year after year. Year 1 he was a spinning top selfish and trying to be the number 1 figuring it out, when it was marcus morris. Next year got in the gym stopped spinning into double teams extended his game from 3 along with his one on one game on the elbow. 3rd year regressed settled for the long 2 and 3's, 4th year he put everything together stopped settling for the long 2's and had his best volume from 3 and has one of the lone seasons nobody has every had, this past season that December leading into January is what Randle has to be and people forget or dont follow. The trio of Og, Randle, and Brunson was the best in the league until he tore his shoulder up. So I disagree with your statement Randle is an all nba all star caliber players not a top tier role player/swiss army knife. Mikal had an off season cause he was aksed to do alot as a number 1 option when really truly his specialty is defense and now that he got the opportunity since even before getting traded his offensive game picked up with booker out. Mikal now has to balance it out cause he wont have to guard the best player everynight not when you have Og next to you. He has to be dpoy on the defensive end, and if it comes to it that Randle and Jalen not having a good game give me the ball and I can take us home that's what's next for him. This randle has the by in he bought in when Jalen got here and said he makes the game easier for me he got it we got it lets go.
Nobody is like damn we gotta play at the Garden because they fear Brunson’s offense, and thats not a knock. Thats my favorite player in the league. They fear Hart, Divo, Randle, Og, Mitch, because they know they leaving the Garden sore

If the Knicks can fill in their Center Depth, then they could potentially be a problem for the Celtics to handle next season. I hope they go after centers like Bismack Biyombo, JaVale McGee, or Tristan Thompson and they could become real title contenders, and possibly face the Celtics in the ECF if healthy and building more depth at the center position. I honestly hope they beat Boston so we don’t have to see them go back to the finals and win it all again. If they can do that, then I’m calling the finals match up next season to be a Mavericks vs Knicks finals. I genuinely believe that matchup will be so much better than what we got last season.

They could go for either those guys, or urge to sign for Dwight Howard, since it’s rumored now that they could sign him on their team and bring him into the league, since he seems like a wise choice for the Knicks to sign and could actually be a perfect fit for what the Knicks are looking for, since he did develop into a role player during his finals few seasons in the NBA before deciding to play overseas.

I agree with the center depth, the Hartenstein loss was a big one. Those are some solid names to consider that are out there on the market
