Some people can't consume certain foods like citrus or cows milk.etc Inflammation can wreck your ability to process nutrients and to heal or stay balanced . They seem to be coming up with new cancer treatments, but they are only used in Clinical trials. I wish that they would be available to the public.
Over 96% of cancer drugs fail clinical trials which is why they aren’t always available.

First they tell you there's an amazing new drug. That inspires people to sign up for the trials. But until those trials show results it's all hype.
I was asking myself this very question just this week. I had in mind the CEO of the top telco in Kenya (and most of Africa in general), who died nearly 5 years ago from this disease. He was a great guy from Guyana who was doing a lot personally and in his corporate capacity to positively impact our society. It struck suddenly at the height of his career. My own grandfather died in _pain_ from the disease. Way back in 1989. We're able to create artificial neural networks and use them to do impressive things but when it comes to cancer it somehow feels like we're in some age before the advent of modern medicine -- chemotherapy in particularly is reminiscent of when toxic chemicals like mercury, arsenic and radium, bloodletting using leeches etc, were used in attempts to cure ailments. I'm hopeful that AI will help
If they find a cure….all the money they make for research….for treatment…for the pharmaceuticals ends….because the only thing left to make money off of would be the cure. They wouldn’t end their money flow just to find a cure….they will keep on not finding a cure.

Cervical cancer can be reduced to a greeat extent with hpv vaccination and periodic screening And if in early stages can be cured. Similarly colon cancer can be detected by screening colonoscopy. But doke cancers like gastric and prostate tend to produce symptoms late and end up with late stages and mets. Because it can affect any organ and have varied manifestation and prognosis depending on a number of factors. So to cure cancer as a whole well need to be able to cure all of them. For eg if you look at skin cancers. Basal cell ca has the best and malignant melanoma has the worst prognosis. Even treatment is different. I know two cancer sufferers who have been on immunotherapy for prolonged periods and they have suffered very serious side effects. There are costs you must pay. I was in conversation with my oncologist a few hours ago discussing my options, they may include immunotherapy further down the road. It is a balancing act trying to get it right .
