Q1 How about simply lowering the TX dosage and lengthening the TX period? (To control TLS). Also, doesn't level of bone marrow involvement figure into planning? BTW I am not a doctor, but have been engaged in a learning process. Thanks.

How do you measure bleeding time on lab work. What’s the abbreviation ? PT PTT do you mean INR is the bleeding time
Bleeding time is measured clinically. It is not reflected in PT and PTT, which have to do with factors/coagulation rather than platelet function. That said, actually measuring the bleeding time is not commonly done anymore. But it is an important concept to understand for boards.
If someone has a prolonged bleeding time but a normal PT and PTT, that points to a problem with the platelets. And if the platelet number is normal, then it suggests an issue at the level of platelet function (e.g., vWD, Bernard-Soulier, Glanzmann). If the platelet number is low, then the cause is likely simply thrombocytopenia.
I’m a pediatric nurse practitioner outpatient. I follow your lectures . Thank you

Please can I get your pdf if internal medicine lectures??
I don't think he keeps PDFs of his lectures (?). I know he can't give out his PowerPoint slides because of issues potentially surrounding copyrighted images (as he's said in a previous lecture). However, if he DOES keep a folder full of PDFs, you're not the only one who wants them!
