What we learn't this week: SikaFLEX®️ obviously is a proper way to fix things You never want to maintain ever again. Nice to see You're still crawling and scrambling about Your boat despite 2020 and all after I checked in to no avail a couple of times this summer. Stay safe, cheers!
Great boat your dad bought, those Contest are very good blue ocean boats for their size. Keep up with your project, very interesting, I'm viewing it from the US.

Regarding the sealant and cutting through it, you can use something like a thin strong cable in a sawing motion for difficult access. Might take two of you.
