After watching this video of this gorgeous little rig my heart sunk a bit because i had one and i loved it but i never really got any serious use out of it so it sat on my shelf looking preety and accumulated dust for a few months so i decided to just sell it i drove it around and handful of times and its looked dashing with my GIJOES on it but never really could use it the way i wanted to but now i regret selling it lol might get another in the future 👍 nice job mate
Thanks very much 👍 Gutted you sold it. I guess we can't keep everything though and sometimes you've got to make space. It's not the most capable rig but looks fantastic. I love a nice scale rig. They have them on sale again atm I think. 👍
Well that was a fail because it DOES double duty as a display piece. Most of these RC "toys" until now used a brightly neon colored Lexan bubble body with just a hint at looking like a halfway realistic racing buggy, but you wouldn't want to display them because they're so hideous. The MB scaler on the other hand is a work of art and scale fidelity, like an expert-built Tamiya model kit, but also operates and runs. You should buy another Willys MB and also get both the Rochobby Kübelwagen Type 82 and the Beetle Kommandeurswagen Type 87 before they are discontinued!
It is a super cool looking one and it does get bonus points for the super cool storage case too! It did really well out there for the setup it is. A great one to have in the collection!
@@DoURC The 1/6 scale one is really cool and the bigger figures you can put in there make them more realistic too. The only downside is the coil overs which make it loose some scale credit but it drives a lot better so it is a decent trade off.
I bought that one and the 1/6 scale when they first came out and they were actually cheaper. There was no FMS then. I bought them at Banggood. I was in full addiction mode back then lol. Haven’t used them in a while. But just the other day took the 1/6 jeep out and started weathering it. That’s what I was doing when I started watching your video. They are exactly the same. Except for the chassis. The 1/6 has a true crawler chassis. You will definitely like that more. I put crawler tires on it too. It has a scale engine. That really is just a cover. If I knew you and we lived closer. I would have sold you both at a good price. I really have to get rid of some. lol 😂. Have fun!!
Ah cool, I'd like to do a build with the 1/6 Jeep and the 1/6 Jimny, I think with mods the Jimny can look really cool too. How you getting on with your weathering?
That's a great looking little Jeep! One of my early subscribers had the 1/6 version that a really wanted! This is a nice compromise! Almost all the same great detail, and Rick fits in nicely! I gather that removing about 3 leaves from the springs, and adding "coilovers" improves the ride quality. A lot of potential for some "customising".......😄
It beats that 1/6 monstrosity by leaps and bounds. It blows my mind that they had all the more room and ease in 1/6 to create the same level of detail (and more of it) but they didn't and used coil spring and trailing link suspension on the 1/6 MB. They made some detail errors too (the shape of the windshield is wildly off scale/proportions). The 1/12 is absolutely superb though.
Hi, I love seeing this so much. Last year there was a meeting in the Netherlands at RC Planet Crawler and Scalerbaan in Spaarnwoude with many of these types of vehicles (Willy's Day at RC-Planet). At the time it looked like an episode of the television series M.A.S.H.. UA-cam videos were also made of it and can therefore be found (Willy's day at RC-Planet - Willys Jeep 4x4 - Rochobby 1941 MB Scaler). 🆒🎦👌👍👋🍀
Thanks very much 👍 They're not really listed as a scale, but show as 12-14cm, so about 4.75" 👍 If you search Aliexpress for Walking Dead figures you'll see them. 👍
3:06 The wheels and tires came first on this model and are not "Standard FMS" unless you mean retroactively. The manufacturers, in all their misguided wisdom, decided to reuse these wheels and tires on the 1/12 Land Rover Series II and the 1/12 Toyota FJ45 (neither of which used WWII two-piece combat rims) and once you see it, you can't unsee the error.
It is not Willy's (not possessive singular), not pronounced Will-eez either. Wow, impress and confuse all your friends by properly pronouncing it WILLIS. Willys is the surname of the founder of Willys-Overland Motors, John North Willys. 👍😎👍

Yeah I think it looks great. Really want the 1/6 scale now too! 🤣🤦

This thing's so cool. Glad I've got one ordered.
Ah excellent, it's super cool isn't it. 👍
I'm well chuffed I got the 1/6 version too. 👍😁
looks awesome mate, one of my favourites to look at.
Yeah it's got such nice scale details hasn't it. 👍
That is pretty cool. 😮
Thanks very much mate 👍😁
They do! And they are more capable than people would assume to start with.
Yeah it's an awesome little rig. 👍

@@DoURC it’s going ok. Never really did it before. I need something that looks like mud. But lumpy mud. lol 🤔🤔
@smoothrc28 Cool, always good to have a go. How about mudding it, let it dry and then lacquer it! 🤣👍
Can't get more realistic than that! 🤣😬
So cool even I bought one! Haven't taken it out yet, as I'm waiting for a driver to arrive. Just love watching all the videos of it! Cheers!
Ah excellent, I love it. Its just so scale, obviously not really a crawler, but just looks so good. 👍

Yeah I'll definitely be making some changes to it. I was surprised how well it moved as the stock leaf setup did feel very stiff. 👍

That sounds awesome, there's some great events in Europe. We only get a few here in the UK. 👍
Love willys, very nice video and good route friend, good job 👍💪😜👋
Thanks very much, appreciate it 👍😁
Omg its awesome 😮
Great isn't it, I love how scale it is. 👍
Looks awesome bro! Subbed
Thanks very much and appreciate the sub. 👍
Keep up the good work RC MUD KING 🤴
Thanks very much mate, appreciate it. 👍
good 👍
Thanks very much 👍
I’ve got one of those, one of my fav FMS trucks! 😍
Awesome, they look fantastic don't they. 👍
1/10 and 1/18 (or 1/24) and I would have both. Neither 1/6 nor 1/12 would fit my collection.
That's a shame, they're great looking rigs. The 1/12 isn't the best performer, but the scale details are great. 👍
Hello. Do you know what is the lenght and the scale of your Rick Grimes action figure and how do you make it stand in the jeep? Nice video. Thank's
Thanks very much 👍

Well I was going to pay the auto insurance, but since you insist I need this instead that’ll have to wait.
Don’t get me wrong, I quite like it.
🤣🤣🤣 It is very cool. 👍

🤣 Yeah, but I'm talking about them overall. They use the same wheels and tyres across multiple models, they also use them on the FCX24 just FYI! 😉
Is the trx4m weak out the box
Do you mean weak as in it breaks easily, or performance?
@@DoURC yes
Breaks easly
Is that a 6 " or 3.75" figure? 🤓
It has to be bigger than 3.75
I have this rc and those scale army figures are small in the seat, they can barely see over the wheel
It's about 4.75", got Rick off Aliexpress 👍
Yeah this one is about 4.75", meant to be 12th scale. I thought he fitted the seat quite well. 👍
