Clearly this is an exhibition that ought to have been labeled ‘Anything Goes’
It’s a hodge lodge of indifferent if not amateurish ‘attempts’ at Fine art, as if ‘For Arts Sake’ is the deciding impetus.
Light on craft, hung up on concept would be my consensus.

It really feels over half the time that we are looking at freshman entry exhibits of what is made to try and get into art school. Like before any training was done. To call it student quality is even giving too much for a lot of these artists. I get the feeling that now days it goes that if someone feels they are a "creative type person" and they think that being an artist is cool... then they should be an artist too! After all anyone can be an artist!... I think this is proof that "anyone" can NOT be good artist! That it takes lots of skill and talent and often time to refine those talents to really make great art. There are very few artists that are true child prodigies (think Mozart). It just looks WAY amateur!

This video is uploaded with high frame rate, so you can always watch it in slower playback speed. You can adjust it on your own in the UA-cam player options. Hope you can have better experience with 0.75 or 0.5 speed.
@@ArtDocuments Thank you for the information, I did not know this. I will see it again. I appreciate the reply and because I love to paint in some cases I didn’t get the name of what was where. There were several interesting pieces and now maybe I will catch where they were..

reeks of ‘artists’ that need to spend a lot more time out doors! Simplicity over played ad nausea. Not all, most.

It's all a gimmick now. Where's the art? A lot of this is truly terrible. When you look over the centuries and decades of art it ends in the late 1980s. Now? It's a lot like popular music over the last 25 years, very banal as it's trying to be art. I appreciate the video 👍.
Yes, I would love to see a show curated by street and graphic artists that eliminates all the pretentiousness. I’d rather see the regular people who have to make t-shirt designs and stickers and prints so they can sell enough stuff to get by. Most of this stuff i would not want in my house.
The reason people put this type of art on a pedestal, is because not everyone can buy a Monet, or a Rubens! So they pick some unknown wana be to hang on wall for prestige,and or clout nothing more.

Господи, искуство в традиционном понимании, скончалось в 1972 году когда появилось первое произведение концептуального искусства , автор Дж.Кошут, который выставил на вернисаже произведение, которое нельзя назвать традиционным искусством . Знатоки знают, что это было за произведение. И с тех пор искусства как такового нет, оно умерло . Всё, что сейчас преподносится как искусство - это чисто пародия, бесконечный гротеск, кривляние, пыль в глаза как говорится, или сознательная переделка жанров, устоев , традиций прежнего искусства, и некоторые зрители воспринимают эти ужимки - как что то настоящее, новаторское. Увы , ничто не ново под Луной , искусство стало пародией . Да всё умерло : класс. музыка, большие эстрадные оркестры, джаз, поп-музыка, рок музыка , толстые книги-романы, театр, живопись, скульптура и т.д., то, что осталось или предлагается как что то новое - это обманка, мишура, халтура или ностальгия по прошлому, по золотому веку . Не верьте тому, что происходит сейчас с искусством, музыкой, литературой, театром и т.д.Традиционные жанры канули вх небытиё безвозвратно .

I am a painter/sculptor. Only a few of the pieces in this show are true fine art, the others are immature crafts and design pieces. WHY< WHY< WHY, are people seeing these as any level of art????!!!!
