Have you ever been to one of these places? They're torture chambers to punish the mentally ill. They gave me speed, magic mushrooms, and poisoned me for two days with drugs that ramped up my anxiety to the point I wanted to scream out loud. One of the therapists they're literally told me he was gaslighting me for no reason.
I have to admit, that giant orange hand one would haunt me 😳 I like the idea of using art to help create a nicer environment, but why not murals of relaxing places - forests, waterfalls, countryside, beautiful deserts, snowy scenes, cute animals, fish tanks etc.? Art is such a personal thing that having highly thematic art like this seems poorly thought out.
Well there is a door to their bedroom 🤷♀️ And unfortunately, people who are mentally ill are at major risk of self harm & harm to others so the opportunities for that must be minimised, which means a decrease to privacy
Mental hospitals are definitely not as exciting as you think they are. You'll have a few people rambling something delusional, but the staff tend to be good at just talking them into sitting down and taking a nap. Most inpatient wings in these places are pretty low key and quiet, I've never seen anyone that had to be restrained.
