How to make fondant macarons

  • These are so easy to make! I know there is a mold out now for macarons, but this is just in case you don't have that mold!
    Steps:
    Roll out fondant to the thickness of a macaron or however thick you’d like. Just make sure it’s not thin. Cover your fondant with plastic wrap and then use your circle cutter to cut out the circles. This makes your fondant have a rounded edge instead of a flat sharp edge. Then use a new hair comb (or one designated for cake only) and make some indentations on the bottom edge of the fondant circle. This will look like the ‘feet’ on real macarons. Then roll out some white fondant into a rope shape. I made some lines on the white fondant rope to look like the lines from piping. Glue the white rope to the top and bottom fondant ‘’macaron shells’. And you’re done! They look so cute on a cake and perfect for those of us who don’t know how to make real macarons 😂
