@@isabelfaith it was chaotic. Lol. I have a baby and 5 other kids to start. They fought a lot and I struggled a little to keep the 3 older ones entertained during quiet time because I did zero screen time the first week. They are not used to no screen time... The routine is going well though.
im starting this process here in california, its a bit scary but overall the best decion for my family situation ( childcare, communte, time) wish me luck!
Just curious do you think being a male will really hold me back as far as getting clients. I'm a father of two girls and currently a kitchen manager working 60 plus hrs a week and just want to be with my children. I absolutely love being super dad and really think this would be a great opportunity for me to make a difference in other kids life ( I love make believe and reading to children and doing arts and crafts) and also provide for my family and not miss out.
I think it depends. The fact that you are a Dad and have 2 children is a plus. And if you can get other children from friends or family, that could help too. Typically Daycare Providers are women, but i have worked with male providers in Daycare Centers and the parents were thrilled for their children to have a loving, positive, male figure in the children's lives. Best of Luck, your daughters would be so lucky to have their Dad teach them :)
Honestly as a Mom it would stray me from enrolling my daughter with a male provider. The only thing that would personally make me feel comfortable is if there were cameras. When you are marketing let parents know there will be cameras if any situations arise (injuries, kiddie fights etc) Just to protect yourself and make the families feel at ease. I’m using cameras for mine just for an extra layer of protection.
