Excellent video. Very clear. I watched half a dozen assorted farmers and DIYers mash up a bunch of crappy bends with sand saying I don't need any tools. True if I want my work to look like theirs, but even as a DIYer, I want to do professional work. I'm replacing a 10mm tube on an old Harbor Freight compressor since parts are no longer available for it. It has half a dozen compound bends and I was at a loss as to how to keep it all straight in my head. Your video and a $12 tool will let me reproduce the original part fairly easily. I watch a boat building video on yt. He has a tag line at the end of every video: "If you're going to make it, make it beautiful." Yours could be, "if you're going to make it, make it professional."
Man thank you for making this video. It is hands down the most effective lesson on tube bending that I've seen on UA-cam or any other place. It is much appreciated sir.
The markings on the moveable handle show you where to line up the tube -depending on what side the measurements/bend needs to come from. That’s why the markings were not in the middle of the bend as they should have been.
Sounds interesting. Good luck with the build! One way to make bending even easier is to bend a scrap into a 90 or 180 with zero marked (engraved or scribed preferably, for longevity). From there you can place that bend against the tube and transfer that scribe mark to it to know where to start bending. Same idea as in the video, just easier to work with in my opinion.
Hi, does anyone know how to bend flat copper pipes? I understand I'd have to stuff the flat copper pipes with, like, fine sand so that kinks won't form when bending. But is there a specific tool to bend flat copper pipes with?

But I wanna bend a copper tube with 2 mm thickness,, and it's really hard to bend it, do you have any sugesstion??
Not by hand there are hand held motorized benders and a hydronic type that could probably bend thicker tubing
