There's something almost spiritual in that view of you boys working quietly together, planting while Grandpa drives the tractor. He must be so proud of his sons and family unit. You all are an inspiration. Our family intends to start gardening for ourselves now since watching you.

When I was a kid, we used to use a planter just like that to plant tobacco sets. There was always someone following behind to make sure it set right.
Sometimes to make sure the follower was paying attention, we’d plant one up-side down ( where the roots were up toward the sky) to make sure they weren’t rubber necking and day dreaming. LOL

I love how you hate picking peas-I feel you on that one! We used a finger style planter like that one years and years ago when we first started vegetable farming. The way ours was designed, the wheel with the fingers rotated the opposite direction of yours so we had to put them with the roots facing upward otherwise the tops would go in the ground & the roots would be sticking up. That was always a learning curve when we would put someone new on the planter! Looks great so far.

Several years ago we got a used Case combine and the first day in the field we had a tire that had to be replaced, I don't remember what happened to that one but it was older and used so no biggie, right? And had to buy 2 of them because of the age and wear on the older tire. $14,000 and 1 Day later we went to open up a new wheat field and a shed whitetail antler went through the side of one of the new tires. We cut 2,000 acres of wheat mostly with Grandpa's old John Deere they'd made fun of for being slower than a turtle. The newer Case literally had a breakdown of some kind EVERY day of harvest. Some not more than a small inconvenience. Some really costly. But when the sieve at the bottom of the combine (of course not the easiest one to get to!) came out in pieces from one of the loads of wheat at the co-op that took the cake! Only 3 things didn't break down that harvest, the old JD combine, my Case 385 4X4 tractor, and my service truck. Murphy was a farmer!

Do you know that you can pull the cabbage up by the roots? Then you dig a hole and put the cabbage head in it. Cover it over with the roots sticking up. When the temperature is over 34 degrees in the winter, pull a cabbage up by the roots and clean it off. It's like cutting a fresh cabbage head in the summer.

Ok ... I have to ask this. 😁 I've watched way too many veggie video's & whether it's in the greenhouse growing like yours or just in the house, they always say that you need to harden off the plant's b4 planting them outside, but you guy's don't seem to. So do you lose any after transplanting them? Or do you wait until it's a certain temp outside b4 you guy's transplant.
    Just had to ask 😊
You guy's make all that work look like fun. Love watching 👀 😍
