The Triceratops Ambush set actually has very low effort in it cuz the Triceratops takes the color scheme of the of another ceratopsian that I can't really pronounce
Finally a person who doesn't hate brick-built dinosaurs. Dino figs are cool, but like you said lego is meant for building. I have the T rex rampage set and the T rex displays so well. Nice video.
4:31 that’s because they weren’t triceratops. That facility was actually breeding nausutoceratops and 1 other species that I’m forgetting now. The color scheme of the trike in this set perfectly matches that of the nausutoceratops. I assume that lego was trying to replicate that here.
I’ve been collecting these sets ever since 2015 and if I had to make a top 3 for me, it would be 1. Indominus rex breakout 2. Brachiosaurus discovery 3. Giganotosaurus and therizinosaurus attack.
It really sucks that we did not get a Spinosaurus or Mosasaurus set, like the river scene or the Mosa enclosure, because in the lego games they already have the models and have released mosas before.
I definitely feel your frustration. Just rewatched JP3 the other day, and there’s plenty of good sets lego could make from the movie. Future video in the works to outline the new Dino figs and touch a bit on the sets that could be made!
Especially seeing Spino in lego mold form in the game. I was like dude im dropin' money the moment Lego Spino shows up with the Beechcraft Super King Air 200. I remember they did the Lego studios.
I used to have the Indominus Rex breakout from 2015, but while I was at school, my 3 year old brother climbed on my shelf and pushed it off. If only he stopped there. Then he took it apart and hid the pieces under his bed and my bed. Luckily I’ve been able to find a few of the pieces including some of the mini figs and the whole Indominus Rex, but I’m still upset to this day.
Fun fact: The white atrociraptor is named Ghost while the orange one is named Panthera according to Jurassic World: The Game on mobile devices. Also they're both females from the evolution entries
I love how heartfelt you talk about those last 2 bc they are my 2 most hated. But the fact Lego can be so many things for diff ppl is why it’s so amazing
I hate the T Rex and Atrociraptor set because the Rex wasn’t in Malta and it was a missed opportunity to make an Allosaurus, add the Carno, or mode Atrociraptors and a larger build.
Great list man! I think the Velociraptor Chase is the best JP inspired set ever, due all the Easter eggs and smartness put in to it. It is almost as it is just missing a 2nd Raptor, but that would had made the set more expensive. I think the best JW inspired set was the one that came a little later with the Indominus Rex and Ankylosaurus.
Sorry for the late response! I try to reply to every single comment but some get a little buried! I completely agree! The velociraptor chase is a great set from back in the day and the only original JP set, for the time. I think it’s a great all encompassing sets that has enough going on to make it a great set. I would love to see more like this in the future, hopefully for The Lost World and JP3!
@@brickafide I think we first will see a good mold of the Spinosaurus when the JP3 sets is arriving. Also then I bet we will see a redeco of the great Ankylosaurus mold and if we are lucky a Ceratosaurus. Perhaps only a new headsculpt is needed (?) as body parts is floding.
@@grandiosa86 yes only a few head mold updates, both basically using the trex body mold, even though ceratosaurs and on that subject the existing carnotaurus should have a bit smaller bodies… anyway yes, two head mold updates and they would have to figure out a way to modify the existing trex body mold to add the back fin for the Spino!
@@brickafide I have watched this again as it was that good. I think that we badly need a Stegosaurus and Parasaurolophus, both perhaps may come with JP: The Lost World 30th anniversary. Looks like LEGO has the rights. All we can do is to cross our fingers!
4:26 in the movie they werent triceratops at all, they were nasutoceratops but lego just made a recolor of the triceratops mold which is a bit dissapointing
I am so disappointed that they didn’t use a full size brachiosaurus for the set. At $80, it would have been perfect, but they wanted to spend less, shocker
Reuses are definitely annoying but sometimes you its fun for lego to do what they can in the confines of what they have already molded as it brings out a bit of creativity. But here I can see the annoyance.
I had the dilophonsaurous escape set, we tied the jeep to a ceiling fan by the winch hook and launched it around the room. Not sure what happened to the broken pieces of it
Lost world is definitely number 2 in terms of any Jurassic movie, at times, very seldomly I may add, it has been my favorite, but I can’t ever overlook the OG brilliance. If I do anything in my life, I hope that some portions of this channel brings light to lego what we need from them in the future based on my current and future videos on the theme!
Dose the T. rex form the #1 pick scale with 1/35 scale figures from like edel(example: I. rex: 16inch) or beasts of the Mesozoic(example: T. rex 14 inch)
Really hope they make sets based on jurassic world evolution. Imagine all the dinosaurs and beautiful dinosaur skins from those 2 games lego could do. Make every set a part of a park with a Bit of fence in each set, and then a vareity of guest and operations vehicles/buildings. Similarly to what they are doing with the harry potter sets and all of those coming with a bit of hogwarts. Edit: i totally agree with you on the buildable lego dinos. Maybe they could approach the dinos similarly to how they did the animals and dragons in those avatar early ninjago and elves sets. And keep the smaller dinos like the pyroraptors molded like they currently are
Awesome video, great opinions. Argree with most of it, and (finally) a reasonable ranking online for those sets. My opinion on the best 5 sets: 1. Trex Rampage (it's just awesome) 2. Indominus Rex Breakout 3. Giganotosaurus vs Therizinosaurus 4. Visitor Center (I like the figs and raptor) 5. Raptor Rampage (You might be wondering, why so high up on the list? I love the mobile vet unit, and the raptors are great, plus, last but not least the figs are exclusive and look great, especially Claire.) Edit: I own all, except the Indominus Rex one. Amazing video! 💯 percent agree with this list. You managed to keep me entertained for 24 minutes with my short attention span, so you definitely deserve a sub👍
I wasn't aware of them until I recently got comments about them and I will say that they would likely be at the bottom of the list, +/- the 4+ sets range, but I will say some of the unique dinosaur molded pieces are interesting.
While I would like a bigger Visitor center, I also think this is a fantastic scale for it. Because if I imagine myself when I was 7 years old, I would’ve killed for a lego visitor center. And finally seeing a Lego wave of the original JP, but then not being able to get the visitor center because it would be a massive 300€+ set, would just break my heart, since my prents would never buy me a set so expensive. So being a smaller, but more affordable set for little kids to relive their dream seems perfectly fine to me, I can always modify the set and make it bigger myself.
My favorite sets were the indoraptor breakout and indominus escape. Even though I would kill for both hybrids I will soon get the upgraded 2020 version so I really went crazy
Walmart has some of the JP1 sets on sale right now. I just got the Trike one for 29 bucks and the raptor chase one for 23 bucks. I'm waiting for the Bronchosaurus one to go on sale before getting it too!
I’m sorry but the 2018 Pteranodon chase set is fantastic and deserving of at least the top 15 the pteranodon is the best we’ve gotten and the vehicle is really cool and fun despite its proportions you get a very generic tracker which you can army build and at the time it was the cheapest set to get Owen
Also, the Theri is awesome! But the giga is a little disappointing. Of course the new body mold is cool but it has two fingers (recycled from the Rex) and the same head as the Indominus Rex.
I have the t-Rex out break one the one where the car is flipped and one is still standing I love it I think it’s one of my best purchases the t-Rex is very delicate tho so if your gonna get it if your getting it to play with you will have to play careful or just have it on display like I do
The ironic thing is, they should've switched the colors of the Brachiosaurus and Triceratops from the 30th anniversary sets cause the true colors of the Trikes are gray, the brown on the sick one was just a bunch of dirt of her And yes the Brachiosaurus is more brown with hints of gray
I appreciate you agree with me on the Brachiosaurus but for me since the JP Trike was brown-ish, regardless if it was dirty or maybe even misrepresented, the brown is what I want in that fig because it’s accurate to the movie. Thanks for the comment!
You are referring to the 76948 Jurassic World T. rex & Atrociraptor Dinosaur Breakout, correct? If so then yes it was an disappointment and odd for a Trex to show up in that set..
The Jurassic theme Legos are very fun and enjoyable but I do wish that the dinosaur figures were more scaled to realistic sizes. The raptors, stiggy, dilophosaurus and gallimimus figures are all way too big in comparison to the human mini-figures. The atrociraptors are conversely way too small. A great pity that in all the years since LEGO came out with Jurassic World dinosaurs, there has never been a Stegosaurus, Parasaurolophus or updated Spinosaurus and Mosasaur figures. Yet there are a million different repaints of everything else. Also would appreciate The Lost World sets with mini-figures of Sarah, Tembo and a baby T-Rex.
Yes, in the movie they were nasuto’s but lego gave us a nasuto-colored trike in the set because it’s the same existing trike mold with 3 horns. I discuss this situation a bit more in one of my evolution of Lego dinosaur videos.
Imo Velociraptor escape isn't that bad, it has some things you can do plus it has the egg with an eye on it. Also you forgot about the lego juniors T.rex breakout from 2018.
To be honest, I did not know about these two sets 1370 and 1371. I just looked them up though and while they may have nostalgia for some, I do not think they look that good and would be towards the bottom of the list, perhaps even lower than some 4+ sets. However, some of the molded pieces for the dino's are interesting.
The baryonix is very lazy because it just uses the indoraptor legs with sickle claws and baryonix doesn’t have that. (Sorry if i made some spelling mistakes, my english isn’t great)
Yes, I didn’t know about them at the time of making this video and they “technically” weren’t under the Jurassic Park/World theme but under the Studios, but anyway, my recent video “20+ years of lego dinosaurs…” talks about them and the full evolution of lego Dino’s!
I really love the Jurassic series and have loads of the earlier sets, they've recently teleased some awesome new JP ones but i feel like they just lost the plot a few years ago 😅

Everything in this comment is a straight win!
4:30 that were not triceratops that were nasutoceratops, whats the difference?: nasutoceratops only have 2 bull-like horns
Yes, in the movie they were nasuto’s but lego gave us a nasuto-colored trike in the set because it’s the same existing trike mold with 3 horns. I discuss this situation a bit more in one of my evolution of Lego dinosaur videos.
Me watching and having #2 on my desk😏
Very nice!
cool i have #3
I love the lego jp/jw sets they're my favorite kind of lego!! also i saw 5 dilophosaurus in the video!!!
That would be the correct amount and that’s epic that it’s your favorite them!
The studs on the carno are well placed cuz they look like osteoterms
Oooo we have someone who really knows their stuff! That’s a great insight that I hadn’t thought of previously! Thank you for the comment!
Imo Velociraptor escape isn't that bad, it has some things you can do plus it has the egg with an eye on it. Also you forgot about the lego juniors T.rex breakout from 2018.
I mention that I wasn’t including juniors sets. See 0:14
@@brickafideah, didn't see that, sorry😅
@@danlikerone6938 no problem!
Can you do the entire Lego city police/fire/medical (since they all are amazing) in a next month ranking video
5 dolls
I’m hoping Lego does the lost world jurassic park imagine a full built rv or the hunters vehicles
100% agree! I am thinking of doing a full video of at least the top 10 lego Jurassic park/world sets that we still need!

Its a great and for only $20 bucks you can't go wrong!

W list

Where 1370 Studios set?
To be honest, I did not know about these two sets 1370 and 1371. I just looked them up though and while they may have nostalgia for some, I do not think they look that good and would be towards the bottom of the list, perhaps even lower than some 4+ sets. However, some of the molded pieces for the dino's are interesting.
The baryonix is very lazy because it just uses the indoraptor legs with sickle claws and baryonix doesn’t have that.
(Sorry if i made some spelling mistakes, my english isn’t great)
No your English is fine and I can see your perspective on this

Was humming the JP theme song while watching. Nice ranking!
Thanks! I should have considered adding some similar music!
Yaa love your vids❤❤😊
Well thank you very much!
Other than the first two most sets aren’t great I’d much prefer if they made lots of dinosaurs that you could build like the Rex in the last set
Does anyone else remember the 2001 Studios JP3 sets?
Yes, I didn’t know about them at the time of making this video and they “technically” weren’t under the Jurassic Park/World theme but under the Studios, but anyway, my recent video “20+ years of lego dinosaurs…” talks about them and the full evolution of lego Dino’s!
5 of logo's favorite dinos
I really love the Jurassic series and have loads of the earlier sets, they've recently teleased some awesome new JP ones but i feel like they just lost the plot a few years ago 😅
I definitely agree 🤫
5 Dilophosaurus's
That would be correct!
13:38 Ingen??? Biosyn vehicle
