I'm loving all the negative space created with the driftwood, and the visual weight/balance it lends to the scape. Can't wait to see it plumbed and stocked! And that 55 is totally worth resealing, like you say, its the old school thick glass and all.
@@atkinsnatureaquariums3552 I've never reused trim on anything I reseal, always either went rimless, or you can do a wooden frame. If you wanted to trim the tank down and make it more of a lowboy for frags or something then you wouldn't need the plastic rim either, because there's less weight/pressure? Up to you obviously, but if you ever need the project.. 😝
An accurate set-up with wood, I don't know if when you put water in it they will float and you will have to ballast them. I'm curious to see it finished. Good day Ian
Thanks Marco! The wood is not soaked so yeah it will float if I leave it the way it is, I planned on sticking it down to the rocks with epoxy or super glue and sand. I'm hoping it doesn't float, but I'm prepared if it does. It's not filled yet, I'm taking my time with this one.
That was an awesome video Ian, the salt water tank in the end was looking really great. Could use some tender, loving care, but still looks great and I’m so excited to see how everything comes out with the big tank and the 55 there’s gonna be working on we are trying our best to try to go out to Fishtoberfest, it might happen ❤❤❤
Hahaha, yeah . . . It's a work in progress for sure, in an unfinished basement, it's not going to look "pretty" the fish should be the show piece, not the room.

Thanks, I thought about resealing the 55, but the trim is really cracked, I don't think I trust it.
