Indeed! And certainly the fact that it, along with "Chunnel," actually happen to _exist,_ should have placed them more highly on the list. As I see it, the two certainly merit placement above projects that are not only still on the drawing board, but in some cases may end up as nothing but pipe dreams! Consider the video's title: “10 Underwater Railway Tracks In The World, " most would think that the phrase _“in the world”_ suggests something quite a bit more concrete (no pun intended) than projects which remain in the planning stage.
Expectation: underwater glass tunnel wow I can look at all the sea creatures. Reality: underwater tunnel wow I can't look at anything except pitch black outside.
If I'm not mistaken, the Channel Tunnel is for rail traffic only; there are no roadways for motor vehicles as shown in the video clip. It seems this video was poorly researched.
Bob Rogers there are 3 parallel bores in the Channel Tunnel. The central bore, of smaller diameter, is a road service tunnel for access and rescue purposes. Not traffic. Pre Covid, a charity run used to be held through this bore.

Yeah. As soon as I saw this I gave up on the video. Shudder to think of what other stock fiction they were using for the rest of the video. Add to that some of the pronunciation of English locations and it just seems shoddy. I’d rather go watch Mega Projects instead.
The undersea tunnel from Dubai to India is a response to Norway Great Hwy project. They are trying to build a route from Trondheim to Kirskstanger. Right now it is a 25 hour trip with 7 ferries. However if they can do it and eliminate ferry crossing it would cut the time down to 4 hours. A key feature of this is a floating tunnel
Ha ha haaaa... At 11:42 about the underwatertunnel in India, is a photo of an old S-train from Copenhagen in Denmark. They ended service in 2007 when we got new trains in the Copenhagen area. The particular train in the photo was line H+ with destination Frederikssund via Copenhagen from Farum. The only underwater stretch on that line was when it was raining. I wonder who made that picture :-)
I am very grateful for this ... Its very inspiring. I really wish Nigeria will have great equipments like these. We will be blessed to have these. I'll be happy to be a part of it. Kelechi Progress Odor
You even missed the New York ones under Hudson River. USA - Canada under part of the Great Lakes system. Another undersea is the Denmark - Stockholm one: mainly bridge, with an underwater section in the middle. Just announced: Denmark - Germany, but I can't copy the link here.
you forgot Thames, Wapping and rotherhithe :p At least this lady did not pronounce Thames as Thaymes, It's a start even it it was still wrong lol Wapping would be pronounced as wop-ing Rotherhithe as Rother-hive but use a the "th" sound instead of a "v" sound No idea how the hell you make Thames phonetically correct lol
Love the pronunciation ..... Folkestone (which should be pronounced Foke-stone), Coquelles (which is Co-kell) and Calais (Cal-ay) Reminds me of an occasion when Jean Harlow met Margot Asquith, the wife of the then Prime Minister. Ms Harlow called her Margot, pronouncing the 't'. Mrs Asquith said, "The 't' is silent - as in Harlow." Game, Set and Match to Mrs Asquith I think.
You guys forgot one that was seen on discovery Channel a long time ago that there's plans to make that was going to be from New York to England called the transatlantic tunnel
Interesting video unfortunately ruined by the mispronunciation of most places mentioned. Ho-ka-ee-doh, Folk-stone, Cah-lay, Teh-ms (Thames), the list goes on. It's not enough to dig out a bunch of info about something if they're not complemented by correct pronunciation. A simple Google search will help you out for next time. Often times there are audio samples on Wikipedia (try Calais for instance)
She pointed out correctly that if you move just one letter in Calais then it would have been spelled Calias and so sound more Spanish and more easy to pronounce, except perhaps if you are French.
This is very possible but to make it right you would need to build the train inside the water inside a tube running from place to place. With water inside the tube as well. You can even power it by water.N use pulleys electromagnetic field lead n coatings.sensory tech for the tracks n all the works.

How about the international rail tunnel between Port Huron Michigan and Sarnia, Ontario that goes beneath the St. Clair river? Or the one from Detroit to Windsor?
It's called a mirage you know when you are driving down the road and you see water on it in the distance and when you get there there's no water in other words your seeing fog from a different angle just like when a beam of light shines through the window and you see all the particles floating in the air all around us all the time can only be seen in a light beam or another word a mirage.
They should build one Florida to 🇨🇺. I would definitely go to Cuba everyday if i could. Someone needs to build a underwater rail from Miami Florida to Havana Cuba tambien Cancun to Cuba.
2 things 1. @ 3:04 it is pronounce ' Folkestone' & not 'FolkenStone' or what ever she say!!! 2. Why at 3:11 & 3:15, 3:21 & 3:27 are they showing you that you can 'Drive through' the the Channel Tunnel - when you CAN'T - it is only for trains ONLY!!! But you can drive your vehicle on to a special made Trailer - then the Train will take your vehicle through the Channel Tunnel for you!!! - GET your Facts Right!!! 🙄🚂🚂🚂
Yeah, thanks Obama. Oh, I forgot, there's an orange moron in charge, now. If we had another version of Obama, we wouldn't be the laughingstock to the world that we are
Eddie Vector, Obama was never going to do anything about that. This "orange idiot" is trying to get out economy booming again so that we can actually afford such projects and use materials that can be obtained within our borders. This starts with making sure that the truly illegal immigrants and people who illegally obtain money from the US and send it elsewhere, have a reduced chance of doing so.
A 2,000-km-long underwater rail will connect Mumbai to the UAE very soon! Seems like the UAE is running high on technologies these days! News has it that the UAE is planning to build a 2,000-km-long underwater rail that will connect Mumbai to Fujairah city in the UAE, Middle East.
For the Marmaray tunnel, you showed entirely wrong cunstruction videos, almost none of them was a part of Marmaray. There are 2 separate tunnels at the moment, one for vehicles and Marmaray tunnel which are close together. The videos you showed are a new subway line project, an express metro system which will be the 3rd tunnel under the Bosphorus.
Seriously if you’re gonna have someone narrate your video, please make sure they can actually pronounce the place names, instead of doing the typical American thing and making them up! Oh wait!! 🤔😂😂😂😂
Normally there are huge concrete blocks that are lowered into the water and sit on the bottom of the seafloor or riverbed. Another method is to use boring machines and dig under the seafloor and place huge concrete panels all around the excavated area to make sure it doesn't cave in or flood.
Incorrectly showing the channel Tunnel with roadways....it carries only trains. Also full of annoying mispronunciations of Folkestone, Calais, and Helsinki. Bosphorus, and Thames.
Apparently they 🇯🇵, also have an island of rabbits, however putting public transport on both will result in the cats/rabbits being killed by straying on the railway/stations and interconnecting tunnels, and I think they are too small for a rail port. Best to leave them as only accessible by boat 😉

So it is 5 Underwater Railway tracks and 5 honourable mentions of tunnels yet to be built.
Expectation: seeing the thumbnail in real life
Reality: getting dark tunnels and tunnels yet to be built
The fact that the Seikan Tunnel was completed in 1988. Japan has been ahead of the world ever since.
Indeed! And certainly the fact that it, along with "Chunnel," actually happen to _exist,_ should have placed them more highly on the list. Very informative. I took the channel tunnel from uk to France.
I hope the French gave you a good price for it.
Did it end in Calais or "Calias"?
Aka the Chunnel
It would be nice if the presenter knew how to pronounce Folkestone and Coquelles (folk - stone) (cok - well) ;-)

Also French Calais which she pronounced "Calias"
