I actually tried the slide off thing at the end literally a day before watching this just by putting two and two together and seeing how stupid broken that is Theres gonna be a lot of waveland grabbing from good marths in the future, thank god for slide off and tech in place

How early do you have to input the upair for the short hop upair to connect on a platform opponent from below? I feel like I can only ever land the first hit.
This is definitely me being bad but whenever I try to do the upair only the first hit connects so it doesn't prop them up? I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong though
Talking about short hop up air while someone is on a plat right? So its one of two things (not sure which one you are talking about). If you opponent is shielding and you miss the second hit, it probably means you are doing your aerial too late. You need the second hit of up air to hit right at or right after (by like, 1 frame at most) the apex of your short hop. So if you aren't connecting with the second hit at all, you are likely too slow on the aerial input after you get in the air. If instead you are talking about up airing a non-shielding opponent, then you need your opponent to hold down (maybe if they are a fast faller, they just can't hold up, I can't remember) because the first hit will push them up a little with no DI and a lot with DI up. If your opponent holds down to CC / ASDI down a rising aerial, then the up air will likely connect with both hits, but if they don't do that, the second hit will whiff. I am not a pro by any means so maybe you are talking about something else and I misunderstood, but these are the things I have had to adjust for in the past with this technique

How easy it is to quickly "tag" them with a few lasers and just overshoot or interrupt them and you can literally just end their stock off that, its ABSURRRRD. Is Marth's nair broken in a similar way to Fox's up's? Great at resetting shield to poke, great at anti-airing, good for combos, auto-cancels, etcs
