Kronprinsesse Mary (Mary Elizabeth), kronprinsesse af Danmark, grevinde af Monpezat (født Mary Elizabeth Donaldson 5. februar 1972 i Hobart, Tasmanien, Australien) er i sin egenskab af sit ægteskab med Kronprins Frederik Danmarks kronprinsesse og forventes således at blive landets næste dronning.

Kronprinsesse Mary kommer fra en skotsk immigrantfamilie i Australien. Kronprinsessens far, dr. John Dalgleish Donaldson, har undervist på Oxford University. Han har været ansat på University of Tasmania fra 1967 til han blev pensioneret i 2003 hvor han var leder af matematikafdelingen og senere dekan på fakultetet for naturvidenskab og teknologi. Efterfølgende har han været professor i anvendt matematik på det koreanske Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) i Sydkorea.
Kronprinsesse Marys mor er Henrietta Clark Horne, der arbejdede for rektoren på University of Tasmania. Etta, som hun blev kaldt, døde i 1997 efter komplikationer fra en hjerteoperation seks uger tidligere. Både Marys mor og far er født i Skotland, og de flyttede til Tasmanien i 1963. I 2001 giftede John Dalgleish Donaldson sig med kriminalromanforfatteren Susan Elizabeth (født Horwood). Hun er som forfatter siden 1983 mest kendt som Susan Moody, men har også udgivet bøger under pseudonymerne Susannah James og senest Susan Madison.
John Donaldson var gæsteprofessor på Aarhus Universitet. Han har også undervist på Københavns Universitet. I juli 2006 blev John Donaldson "vind-ambassadør" for at støtte den danske vindmølleindustri.
Kronprinsesse Mary er yngste datter af professor John Dalgleish Donaldson og Henrietta Clark.
Kronprinsesse Mary har to søstre og en bror: Jane Alison Stephens (farmaceut), født den 26. december 1965, Patricia Anne Bailey (sygeplejerske), født den 16. marts 1968 og John Stuart Donaldson (geolog), født den 9. juli 1970.

Da Frederik blev født på Rigshospitalet i København, var Margrethe stadig prinsesse og hans morfar, Frederik 9. stadig konge af Danmark, mens hans oldefar var konge af Sverige.
Kronprins Frederik blev døbt den 24. juni 1968 i Holmens Kirke i København, hvor han fik det fulde navn Frederik André Henrik Christian. Han blev opkaldt efter sin morfar, kong Frederik 9. og fortsatte dermed den danske tradition for, at tronarvingen bliver navngivet enten Frederik eller Christian. De øvrige navne fik han efter sin farfar, André de Laborde de Monpezat, hans far, Prins Henrik og hans oldefar, Kong Christian 10.
Kronprins Frederiks studier og karriere - Fra akademiker til frømand
Kronprinsen gik på Krebs’ Skole i perioden 1974-1981. Her studerede han som privatist på Amalienborg i perioden 1974-1976 og fra 3. klasse på Krebs’ Skole. I 1982-1983 var Kronprinsen kostskoleelev på École des Roches, Normandiet i Frankrig og blev student fra Øregaard Gymnasium i 1986.
Frederik blev i 1995 Cand. Scient. Pol. fra Aarhus Universitet og læste undervejs statskundskab ved Harvard University, i USA i 1992-93.
Fra 1998 til 1999 var kronprinsen udstationeret som 1. ambassadesekretær ved den danske ambassade i Paris.
Militær karriere
Kronprinsens lange tjeneste i både Hæren, Flyvevåbnet og Søværnet gør, at han er minimum officer af alle værn, men det er tilsyneladende Søværnet der har den største stjerne hos Frederik.
Kronprinsens egen familie
Den 16. september 2000 mødte Frederik den australske Mary Donaldsen i Sydney. Den 14. maj 2004 giftede kronprinsen sig med sin Mary i Københavns Domkirke.
