Excellent discussion here. Thanks for the podcast, guys. I haven't read Iron John but I've heard of the work. I've read some of Robert Bly's poetry. I recently had an experience that raised the heat of my heart to be white hot as Brian described it, and I felt my emotional body pounded over a metaphorical anvil under that heat. It drove me to climb two mountains to process the energy in a peaceful manner. I appreciate the discussion on this. Also interesting that "soul crushing" work may be seen as a condition by which we are not tending to our own souls, and so the monotony of work becomes soul crushing for lack of our own self care, insufficient emotional hygiene.
Thank you great podcast
