This works amazingly well!! I sprayed it on the boat, turned around to pick up my brush, turned back and the stains were already gone before I even touched it.
Wow, tried it on my new to me 1985 Peterborough that had probably never been washed and it came out clean as a whistle. One note to add, keep it off your trailer. After application, I gently rinsed it off all metal parts while leaving it on the boat. I used toilet cleaner to take off the galvanization off new metal roofing to give it a "aged" look for a back splash. It'll eat right down to the metal. Great video and it's not the first of yours in my favorite list. I was one step behind your videos while rebuilding the 2.5 Mercruiser in this boat.
Im a little confused. I think you started on the transom with home made moved to the right of sterndrive with starbrite. It appeard the home made bested the starbright. Then on the port bow, You used the heavy duty zing hull cleaner. I didn't see any scrubbing, then the video cuts to the clean hull stating the starbrite was used on port bow hull... I'm thinking you may have misspoke. Could you clarify? Thanks glad I found you channel. Hope your hand is better from the winch bite...
Bottom Line: Home Brew worked just as well as the Zing for us. Both require a little elbow grease. Home Brew much less expensive and locally available at Dollar General
@@Michaelsbackyardmarina I figured as much. Great test. The home made is probably a "greener" product compared to both star brite and Definitely Zing.. What product did you leave out of one of the home made?
So, you tried home made stuff, compared it to sun bright. Said that Sun Bright is crap and makes things worse. Then you tried professional spray, said no word about it and jumped to conclusion that star bright is the best….
You should provide a very serious disclaimer here: Mention that your Toilet Bowl cleaner does NOT contain bleach. That particular brand isn’t available nation wide, so someone else could buy another brand that does contain bleach. I still would never mix toilet bowl cleaners with any other chemicals…you never know what deadly gas it could create. Also: you should try Bar Keepers Friend. Works wonders. Amazing results at a very reasonable price.
Just so everyone knows. They changed up the chemicals in The Works. It does not contain hydrogen sulfide now. I just did a small patch with the newer The Works and it did nothing

that's great info and thanks for watching
Rust Aid works amazingly well, try that.
What will remove black streaks that the bottom of the hull gets?
I really don't think you need the extra ingredients. I've seen plenty of people use just the toilet bowl cleaner and it works amazing
Is it safe for bottom paint tho .?
I wouldn't put it on any paint, most likely would strip it.
But whats in the toilet bowl cleaner? The works has changed up the ingredients. Now it only contains sulfamic acid
I have no idea, thanks for watching

The Hydrogen Peroxide.

The home made stuff worked best for us overall.
A dust mask will do nothing for fumes. You need a half or full mask with filters. Also a half mask can not be fitted unless the face is clean shaven.
And safety glasses. Spray back in the eyes would be problematic to say the least

Yes all chemicals are nasty and you should be careful mixing. Some of the hull cleaners are even worse than this mixture. Thanks for watching
