This takes me back to that "Paper Moon" movie where the girl spends every night listening to Jack Benny.
It's nuts to think in the internet era that people used to gather around a radio to listen to it.

My brother and I used to do that because we weren't allowed to really use the internet until we were 11 and since our parents would lock the bedroom door so we wouldn't go running around down stairs to early in the morning we would wake up at like six and listen to radio talk shows out of boredom and draw and stuff. I used to hate having to wait till 7:30 to get up but looking back at it it's a pretty fond memory now. Early 2000's radio was decently entertaining, but I wouldn't do it these days none of the stations are that enjoyable in terms of radio shows at least not the ones I have access to.

Over 80, this book talks about them in depth. Some of them are lost or at the Paley Center only, but a lot are available online. www.amazon.com/Side-Martin-Jerry-Lewis-Radio/dp/1629333522
