I'm aware that BMW M3 and McLuren P1 GTR also got updated (according to patch notes), but I'm also deaf and I can't hear a damn difference. Another handful of sound updates to replace their copied and pasted crap. If only they just released an update dedicated to updating sounds instead of dragging them out in the poor updates this game keeps receiving.
I'm still confused as to why they didn't start with FH5 sounds. Hands down most accurate sounds. If they evolve idle sounds, Turbo specific sounds, waste gates, BOV, Straight pipe Turbo whistle on boost and at idle FH5 sounds would be well above anything out there.
And also: If the developers of Forza Motorsport were focused on Hennessey, then they just missed a HUGE opportunity to add the Hennessey Venom GT and F5 to the game.
I saw a video explaining how this game was developed and it all makes sense now. This game wasn't meant to be great or a generational leap in quality. It's just a remaster of old successful forza games
Still can’t get the downshifts right, still can’t get the burbles and pops right, still can’t get the upshifts and especially not the downshifts right, still can’t get the top of power band to sound right, still can’t get the bouncing off the rev limiter sound right. So it is him, or he just wants to make up lies to make people believe he has some sort of justification for his "comparison."
Sad to see Forza living in the shadow of Polyphony's GT7. People may still enjoy FM 2023 and it's great that they are, but there's no denying that the two games are not close enough in fidelity and performance for the victor to be a matter of opinion. It's an objective fact that GT7 is simply the better game in almost every way. GT7 has better car models, customization, sounds, tracks (both real and fictional), lighting, menu/UI, car list, multi-player, single player, various events (License Center, Circuit Experience, etc.), Scapes, and MUCH more. Controller physics are debatable, but wheel physics are a no-contest victory for GT7. I'm very fast on controller in both games and my personal opinion is that GT7 on controller is harder to master but youvan be equally as fast if not faster. The only leg up Forza has on controller is that you can turn off ABS and successfully not lock up all your tires. On GT7 ABS MUST remain on. Some people can manage, though. I own both a Series X with FM 2023 and a PS5 with GT7 and have enough information to make claims without ownership bias.
GT7 is much worse than GT Sport on controller. Not unplayable, but much worse. You really don't want to be in a spot where you can't induce enough rotation even at max sensitivity, GT Sport avoids that problem most of the time while it IS a big problem in GT7
@cenktheangel Bad sounds (McLaren P1 sounds are still wrong after a decade, and it's glaringly obvious that V12 sounds are copy and paste - i.e. Aventador sounds for the Murcielago SV), bad lighting, cars with dual clutch transmissions STILL shift as slow as manuals, manual with clutch on controller doesn't work like it used to, visual bugs especially for cockpit view racers, a horrifically boring and repetitive single player campaign, and recycled reward cars we've had in Forza for years, etc. Hell, GT7 even accurately tracks how many miles you've driven each car on both the dashboard and UI system. You can even see the odometer rotate upwards for older cars that don't have a digital dash and utilize rotary odometers. Forza can't even track mileage accurately let alone animate it properly for each car. Just one example of many things GT7 does better. Like I said in my original comment, it's great that you're clearly enjoying FM more, but that doesn't mean I'm talking out of my ass. Polyphony does almost everything better than FM. One of the only things that Forza truly does better is having a feature for manual with clutch on controller. It's manual shifting only for GT7, but I say that lightly anyways because FM can't even manage to have manual with clutch feel right. I could take a nap in the amount of time it takes to press LB to actuate the clutch without banging off the rev limiter, and I don't want to upgrade to a race transmission and be forced to listen to the gearbox whining all the time just to shift the way a car should have been shifting in stock form anyways.
@pixelsam123 Truth be told GT7 was my first GT game. FM 2023 was so laughably bad that I bought a PS5 and GT7, which means that I can't speak on GT7 controller vs GT Sport much at all.
