- Here we have it, the holy grail! A one owner completely original Ford Sierra RS500! This car was left in a barn for close on 27 years! Now its come to PLR for recommissioning in time for its owners 80th birthday! So follow us as we take this car and put it back where it should be....ON THE ROAD!

A sniff of a rare Cosworth and Adam was down like a shot and who could blame him not many days you get to see a 1 owner unmolested three door Cosworth.
£500 for a set of center cap locks....wow....back in the day you could only buy a full set they were 30 odd quid lol...I've 3 brand new with key still in the battered box as I only needed one....been in my toolbox 30 odd year....you can have em Paul if there any use to you, would have to deliver them myself tho and beg a cheeky tour round while I'm there lol 😆

Watched Adams video, I would recommend you try POR 15 degreaser. It's good and very strong. Be good to see you try it and do a video.

As you said Paul, a proper barn find, I love stuff like this for the nostalgia. This is where I should have parked mine 23 years ago, and if it looked like that now, I would be happy as Larry. Great video, I will look forward to seeing it come back to life. I would get another set of wheels and tyres for it, thoes D40's make the car, like the phone. Might try and vist the NEC.
As a former RS Cosworth owner myself..sold mine in 2013 after 13 yrs of ownership…i must admit this takes me back ..this car is in exceptional condition and a rolling gold mine ! being a genuine 500 this thing is worth a fortune ! 54k on the clock ? ….this car is just priceless !

A Cosworth was always out of reach for me but I owned a beautiful 1990, RWD, XR4i.
I believe only 1,700 were sold in the UK and they were quoted as 125bhp and just a badging exercise’, but mine, for some reason, was 150 so I left well alone.

What a fascinating find! So absolutely honest and original with its supplying Dealer details. Will be an incredible car once detailed. I also hope the Dunlop D40s are kept on a spare set of wheels for show purposes. Beautiful car.
Tyres should be replaced after about 7 years max, regardless of wear or how they look from the outside! I certainly wouldn't want to be spinning that 36 year old rubber down the motorway!

I have subbed to your channel cuz lovetheses classic power cars and my mate had on back in th 90s and I was lucky to go in it at the 500 hp he works for turbos systems who owned desertstorm and snow storm if your old school and he was head mechanical engineer there and omg so fast 130mph in 3rd easy

Ps if your gonna use modern music and I am a pure, house and speedgarage fan, I could 1000% pick a better backing track than this. Keep up the hard graft l am guy from Sheffield. It's a 80,s / 90s car and the music needs to be on that era, I'm not talking deacon blue or the strangerlers..... tbh it would probably suit it better,
Its not as simple as just picking a track you like , you have to find music that has no copy right , this is very difficult as all the well known songs have a copy right ,
