Cracking show and it just goes to show what educating people who are willing to learn can do.

Now I'm young enough to remember an article in Airgun World magazine from decades ago, in which a gamekeeper who had a name something like Freddie Dalgety (apologies to the family if that's wrong, please let me know) used a BSA Airsporter S to bring down those branchers - the fledgling rooks you were after. There was a recipe too, the only bit of which I can remember is soaking the breast fillets in milk overnight in the fridge before making the pie.

Excellent as ever, nice to see that Paul C is capable of missing, perhaps because he zeroed horizontally he forgot about compensation for inclined shots ...
And what a pleasant interview with that young man who has taken the trouble to go and see these conservation areas and meet the guys on the ground and come to an unbiased stand point not based on armchair pontification from the likes of Mr P Morgan who really hasn’t a clue about the real world in anyway or form.
    Top show 👍

You have to hold under with the .22" when shooting vertically. The .177" is a bit more forgiving. Shoot through a leaf to get the mark then shoot at that hole and it might be up to 2 inches higher than your aim point. Shooting standing is "shooting "offhand".

If Paul is supposed to be a "champion air rifle shot" he should realise that the point of impact will not be on for shooting straight up shots at the rooks if the rifle is zeroed for horizontal shots.

Think young Mr Childerley needs to get some lessons from Mr Lupton (The Postman - he always delivers) on how to shoot properly with a precision rifle. It's OK stacking pellet on pellet on paper but you need to be able to do the same in the field....and be able to see the woody from the trees. Another top vid guys, keep em coming

Yes, 177 every time especially tree work. Deadly on rats in the garden to,under the bird peanuts, as my short film on the members news( Tuesdays) showed a few weeks back. I use a BSA r10 with an ATN day/night scope with added Nightmaster 400 IR. For day use only ,Vortex Hoghunter Was so good to see Paul outshot for once but don’t tell him that😚

An eclectic show tonight and some very interesting stuff. Ben is making a noticeable difference to the breadth and quality of the news items. Shame the News Stump missed the great news that The Country Food Trust delivered their 1 millionth meal to people in food poverty this week. Fortunately, David managed to get the news that cats kill wild animals in Australia to make up for it.
Anyway, moving swiftly on, the bird egg thief getting jailed for nicking a dozen peregrine eggs sounds a bit steep. There had to be more to it than that. How could he pay for helicopters to just pilfer a couple of peregrine eggs? I had a chuckle at the purveyors of prize falcons that make the big bucks out of dosh from Arabs being indignant about the fact there might be some underhand dealings going on in the world of falconry so people can make big money and dodgy dosh from Arabs. Maybe Lead Free Lupton could fill us in with an undercover expose?
Great news on the sustainable conservation student's attitude to conservation hunting and very glad to see the mounted hunting world being featured this week, too.

Thanks Colin. I hope the breadth makes it more fun. Sorry no mention of the CFT. Much as we love the CFT, we get a bit of press-release blindness and tend to ignore people who shout about themselves. They will find their own outlet. / Charlie

Fieldsports Channel what a disappointing and pretty ignorant comment from a channel that is supposed to be highlighting all the good that Fieldsports delivers. At a time when good news stories have never been more important, I would have thought the fact that the Country Food Trust recently delivered its MILLIONTH game based meal to people in food poverty in the UK was worthy of a mention on your channel? It is a charity that relies on donations from the Fieldsports community so for you to say they don’t need your publicity suggests you are either ignorant of what they do, don’t believe what they do is important or want them to pay you to promote them? Which is it?

Great show (again) Loved the piece on Falconry in the Middle east. Loved the concept of falcon racing. (No one gets killed or hurt) Yet some people are upset? Really??
