- I am a jazz/R&B vocalist, baritone saxophone player and music educator with two degrees in music. I typically make more traditional “reaction videos” but this is my first time branching out. She's the only Vocalist i've known now who turned this Christmas Classic song OH HOLY NIGHT ' into a Gospel rocjy music that you could play even it's not Christmas Season but, when there's a worship service in any Christian Church. You do the best job of any of the vocal coach reactors I've listened to, of taking apart and analyzing almost every phrase of the song. I see you're doing lots of editing to make all of these points - it must take some serious work to put together. One little point you haven't mentioned which I noticed is that she often starts or ends notes slightly before or behind the beat, which adds another element of interest. Merry Christmas!

You should give her mashup of Moon River and Usahay a try. The latter is a famous traditional song in Visayan, a dialect which I believe is Morissette's first language (the video has subtitles). One of my Pinay friends told me she has fond memories of her grandma and grandpa singing it to each other when she was little, and many of the comments in the video talk with fondness about Morissette's interpretation evoking the same feelings of nostalgia.

Sorry to break the news to you, but Morissette puts Mariah to shame...she also did a more "Mariah" version of O Holy Night in a Mall!!!, and even that was even better than Mariah's version!!
