  • n-Cubed Final tech demo made for Take it to the RRedline competition.
    8 May 1998
    Original readme:
    n-Cubed by aXon [raymond chan]

    A few notes...
n-Cubed now REQUIRES a v2x00 to run. Trying to run this on a V1000 will
not give you nice little error boxes... it will crash your computer.
I've only been able to run this final version on two computers, so beware.
I would HIGHLY recommend that you quit any programs before running this.
A list of v2x00 features used by n-Cubed:
    800*600 zbuffered rendering
    Alpha blending / transparency
    Colored, specular highlighting
Antialiasing (now fixed so that edges aren't drawn over and over again)
    Palette effects
Well, those are the big ones. :)
Oh yeah... and the music is finally 16bit stereo (we think...).
Internally, some of the code has been restructured so that a few of the
effects share the same "core" geometry. Edges are now kept track of, so
they aren't drawn over and over.
Extra special (did I mention special?) thanks goes out to my good
friend Derek Ruths, who just spent two hours with me fixing up the sound
and tweaking the effects. Thanks a lot, Derek.
    Credits and such:
Thanks to the Sahara Surfers for their MIDAS digital audio system.
    www.s2.org
Thanks to whoever wrote the music in here and put it on the net for
free... it really does "feel" worse without music.
And of course, thanks to Rendition for making awesome 3D accelerators.
    Enjoy the show...
