I lost hope for this game when they practically gave everybody anything they wanted. we have everything that was rare before and now that we have used all of it there is nothing to do. you can't make unique builds because you will get destroyed. what is there to do once we get everything.

People won't admit it but the community and the manipulation of youtubers have killed the game by asking for content which is now anime slop mantras and ez progression which killed the whole vibe and enjoyment of this game now.

it's literally easier to make unique builds because you can get what you want
people make the same builds because of metamancing, which happens in any competitive game, they want to win

Conquest isn't appealing to me or alot of people cause a PvP based game mode isnt good when the state of pvp is already very cheesy and unbalanced for example losing a bar to an m1

I mean, id say some of the quality of life content is actually Hella meaningful, I get that it's late additions and all but, better late than ever
Addition of banks, progression buffs, a wipe button, slight map movement additions with the hive tps, keybinds, and a lot more that I don't really wanna list

I dont know why they dont just make a roadmap video showing off conquest and what it will be like. i feel like that would get everyone reinvigorated to come up with strategies and make new builds. unfathomable move beings these guys are sitting on an amazing game, and refusing to capitalize on driving a huge player base in. Hopefully they lock in soon..
they probably want it to be a complete surprise, add an entirely unpredictable source of content that surprises even the most pessimistic views on the conquest release

My main problem with deep is the lack of grinding for anything now really, I haven't played the game in 3/4 months now but it sucks seeing people only use legendary weapons now, when they were rare people used all sorts of different things but now its the same minmaxed stuff which is boring. They made the game way too easy
That's cuz every weapon u can get from maestro like it's not worth to farm anything else
@@devilsgames Even before maestro they kept making legendary weapons more and more common by buffing drop rates or adding them to more loot pools
@@ThomasZK yeah but he is super easy to farm plus doing ethiron or dullivian is way riskier and take way longer for the same loot.
Everyone using legendaries is a balance/player issue. Grinding for stuff was never fun and only served to artificially increase play time. Things being common is good for both build diversity (you can get what you want quicker and as a result can make any build you want without spending 10 hours to grind for a legendary or whatever it is you need) it’s just the players, who are like 90% metamancers, will just choose to use whatever is best. I seriously can’t understand how you’d want to go back to the deepwoken where it took probably 20+ hours just for the chance to get a legendary weapon, especially now with there being at least 10 that I can think of off the top of my head.
@@cat_agentreal I enjoyed older V1 deepwoken when the content was more fresh than current deep, I enjoy grinding for PvP Items what can I say, at least then i was like "oh whatever I'll just use the shotel" or whatnot, people made builds with stuff like base mace solely cause it had an enchant, i had a build solely dedicated to an iron cestus with prov thorns, making enchants and legendary weapons as common as they are now is boring
i think what really killed the game for me, was the fact that nothings rare anymore. i remember when I started out deepwoken, stuff was like a myth. you saw like one to two crypt blades a week, now you cant make a build without a legendary weapon, unless its pve or using a bug

Remember this distinction, Verse 1 Deepwoken is a completely different game from Verse 2.
It was dark, gritty, and an awesome delve into exploration and combat.
Now, its purely combat, fighting, and minmaxxing builds.
In the current state of the game where balance is precarious, and chime is one of the main sources of PvP, having "extreme rarity" made it so that not everyone has access to the "really good, build defining weapon" which can be bad, especially in this build based PvP game.
But back then, it wasn't all about just building characters.
The feel of getting something remotely new/rare was the hype, even if it wasn't good (Like an enchanted leather boots would get anyone hype in Verse 1), was extremely fun, and it made people play the game so much, learning the world and getting new things (especially before the wiki existed).
It was inevitable though, because ultimately a multiplayer exploration/overworld/MMO game would get dry once everything that was there to offer was 100% explored.
Tl;dr: People are missing the old deep, but you have to realize the state of the game has changed ever since Verse 2, and thus having build-defining items locked behind extreme rarity will kill the PvP in its current state.

i feel like the main problem is just the huge inflation of legendary stuff. like, its extremely boring when you have to just grind whatever boss for some legendary weapon. its also an issue when normal weapons are pretty much useless or not even usable for builds, since your 'build' will just be outshined by whatever min-maxed legendary build someone else makes.
this is just my opinion but it would be nice if normal weapons and armours had more updates and inclusion. because plenty of people would love to have more normal axe variants, spears, etc. its just not fun when for most of your prog you just sit on your starter weapon and then suddenly you're using whatever god tier weapon you stored on some bank slot or grinded a boss for countless hours. sure, beating bosses should award you with these, but when thats the ONLY way of ever having a build that can compete, its just not fun.

Basic weapons are better than legendaries tbh, just look at crypt blade and stormseye (with the exception of the blade ball weapon that shall not be named)
Finally someone who suggests making legendaries and non-legendaries both balanced with each other and not just making crap rare as hell

Deepwoken players are like moths to a flame. Conquest is the flame. The moths are the players. If you light up little candle of Hope all of the moths will fly to it. They'll wait for conquest. But if you tell the moths when conquest, the little light is going to show up and when it won't, it's going to be useless. None of them will go

they make the prog too easy to be honest. you can literally prog in to1 and crypt to lvl 16 under a hour(which is the safest place) the point of the game is to be souls-like, and the game isnt being souls-like. cuz like, the initial idea of deepwoken was to be a dark world full of mysteries, that if you dont even want to stumble across, you will. and you never know what it will be. a player hunting other for luck? a new, unknown to you, twice as tall as you, scary monster? after the saturation and brightness(during night and day) update they pretty much just made the game look like genshin impact, which the game was supposed to be the opposite of.

I love loading into the game and seeing a dude with a hot pink outfit wielding a giant green vomit sword spin around and barf rainbows in all directions. This is totally the game I bought back in verse 1.
I disagree with this, the easy progression is definitely a good thing. sure it takes away the intense souls-like feeling, but that feeling would only be there for the first few progressions. After that it would get boring and repetitive and progging would be a drag.
@@michaels413 thats because devs decided to feed us tiny ass pvp updates instead of making the game mainly pve which was, again, the initial idea of deepwoken. i know why you like faster progression, its either because you do depths pvp or do diluvian both of which punish you for not playing certain builds. you just get smashed and redoing all your shit is annoying. but if you will actually try to enjoy deepwokens lore you will realise theres very little of it and you wont die from researching it(usually, which is again, really souls-like, since one mistake COULD cost you your entire journey)
I completely disagree with this. Sorry, progression was aids. No one wanted to prog. That's why the game started to die off a couple of months ago. We were getting paths and shit and people STILL complained. A majority of the community hates progging. Nobody likes to sit on a game for 12 hours to prog a build that takes five years to prog 17 - 20.
Also games will get discovered, that's just how it is. It could take away the extremely hard and difficult feeling but even then, they made it extremely easy for someone to prog if you are skilled at the game, if you aren't skilled, it'll take forever.

the difference between the dark age pre layer 2 and current deepwoken is the fact I have put in 2 thousand hours since then. Even though there was a severe content drought, I was not nearly as bored back then as I am now. I was able to look forward to layer 2 thinking it was just around the corner, but with current deep I cant even get hype. At this point I just do not care about conquest at all.

The Combat is better than before, it's just that m1s and mantras do too much damage and 90% of them are unavoidable overpowered shit

I have played at the time. That u needed to kill people in cold blood for a good build. I killed ppl many times. And the worst part was. "Pls bro pls don't kill me it's my first time getting to power 15".

The game was dark. So toxic that I believed that they should have made the minimal age to play was 18.
It was the worst gameplay that is consistent of: (Parry trading till death - Whoever got better internet is the winner - unbalanced gameplay - overpowered weapons- Attunements- mantras....etc)
I really won't ever ask for these times to be back. I can't lie. I had fun playing the game. Not because of the toxicity but because of how hard it was. I liked the challenge. It was so rare to even see a player. The game was mad stealth. people won't move unless they are 100% sure they are in the clear. I really hope the devs make up for what they have done in the past. Cuz this darkness still hunts me till this day.
